  1. Most immigrants, legal and illegal, do. I bet they will be left alone, there won't be a mass deportation, another Trump lie GOP won't allow that.
  2. All this talk about his government spending cut stuff if kind of a distraction. I'm reading a book about the creation of SpaceX now and its really interesting. NASA is great and all, but it is a dinosaur. His approach in building new, more powerful rockets is inspiring I have to admit and he is not just a powerful person now but a real historical figure in space flight. He wants to go to Mars and I'm sure that is a big reason he jumped on MAGA bandwagon to try and get ahold of NASA and shake it up, but we will see
  3. Seeing if these people put their money where their mouth is. Like it?
  4. Ok, fine, they are working all over the country. I think they were all immigrants that put the roof on my house, for instance. How about the agricultural feilds? The meat packing plants? You think Trump would be stupid enough to go and round up those workers? Trump already is backing off his promise to make groceries cheaper, so he will leave those workers alone
  5. Things are going pretty good actually. Trump is inheriating a super strong economy and these immigrants are filling all the job openings. Trump won't want to ruin Biden's fine economy by unnaturally choking off the flow of labor. Get government out of the way and let the laws of economics take over.
  6. Not under Trump anyway. Those Catholic Churches--and Prods, too--were just told they can now be invaded. You support that obviously. Ok, fine. _________________________________ A softer, nicer Trump on Dreamers
  7. Why can't these women stay in the country? Half a million dollar fine? This is just harassment of poor people and a case of scapegaoting poor innocent people Stupid thuggery Biden is such a better man than Trump https://www.npr.org/2023/06/21/1183528143/four-immigrants-who-sought-sanctuary-in-churches-no-longer-face-deportation-fine "A group of undocumented immigrants who sought sanctuary in churches to avoid deportation has reached a settlement with the Biden administration that will allow the women to stay in the U.S., at least for now. During the Trump administration, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement issued massive civil fines against these immigrants — nearly half a million dollars, in some cases — as part of a broader crackdown on illegal immigration. But the Biden administration reversed course and stopped issuing fines. Now the administration is going a step further: It's agreed to settle a lawsuit brought by the four women who allege that they were targeted for retaliation because they spoke out publicly about their cases. The women took sanctuary in churches in Texas, Utah, Ohio and Virginia. Sponsor Message Politics Trump Administration Hits Some Immigrants In U.S. Illegally With Fines Up To $500,000 "This was never about collecting money," said Alina Das, the co-director of the Immigrant Rights Clinic at New York University School of Law, which helped bring the lawsuit. "These women spoke out against a horrific policy, and they spoke out not only for themselves, but for others," Das said in an interview with NPR. "Now they're finally being given the opportunity for a clean slate to be free from the threat of deportation." Under the settlement made public on Wednesday, the Biden administration has agreed to give temporary protection from deportation for three years to Hilda Ramirez, Vicky Yulissa Chávez-Fino, Edith Espinal Moreno and María Chavalán Sut. "I now have these three years that I can actually enjoy with my son," said Ramirez, who fled Guatemala with her son Ivan, to escape from his abusive grandfather. For nearly eight years, they have been living at St Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Austin because she feared they could be arrested and deported after her asylum request was denied. Immigration authorities generally do not make arrests inside churches, schools and hospitals under a policy dating back more than a decade. Around 50 immigrants are thought to have taken sanctuary in churches during the Trump administration, although the numbers are smaller now. The settlement only applies to the four women."
  8. I bet its private. Anyone can fly these things. I'm buying one next month.
  9. You are talking in circles, they can't but they can? What's the point of an order allowing government press gangs to go into churches, schools and hospitals if they are not going to use it to go into churches, schools and hospitals? And yes, Catholic Churches, and some Prod ones too, do house immigrants. You can call these poor oppressed people fleeing oppression "criminals" if you want, but they just want a better life for themselves We are easily absorbing the immigrants who work hard, help the economy, help society and don't really commit that much crime at all. A mass round up would just be evil. I doubt Trump does it, he just wanted your vote now he can care less what happens
  10. No, it really isn't that bad. America is a nation of immigrants and will still be in the future.
  11. MAGA, not good at history? No way
  12. Hitler was in 1938, the rest is....history!
  13. They can just invade Catholic Churches now, you understand that you half wit?
  14. Ok, Catholic Churches are no longer sacred. Trump will use the power of the state to get at the illegal people the arrogant, elitist Catholic Church is hiding. With no supervising approval military agents, troopers and other Trump sadists can blandly arrest thousands and hold them at their please if the state's new prison apparatus being set up to hold perhaps millions of people accused of being illegal. https://www.nbcnews.com/investigations/rcna183688
  15. New York CNN — The richest person in the world just hit an even higher milestone. Elon Musk’s net worth has reached $400 billion, according to Bloomberg, making him the first person ever to cross that mark. Behind his nearly $20 billion jump in wealth was a deal that shot up Musk’s rocket company SpaceX’s valuation to roughly $350 billion, Bloomberg reported Tuesday. SpaceX and its investors agreed to purchase as much as $1.25 billion of insider shares. Since the aftermath of the 2024 US presidential election, Musk has enjoyed a huge surge in his personal wealth. An alliance with President-elect Donald Trump has pushed his ventures to the forefront. Musk is the chief executive of Tesla and SpaceX, as well as the owner of X and CEO of other ventures, including Neuralink, xAI and the Boring Company. Now, along with Vivek Ramaswamy, he will oversee a new “Department of Government Efficiency” (DOGE), named after a memecoin. Tesla shares closed at a record high on Wednesday, hitting $424.77 at market close. Musk, who is Tesla’s largest individual shareholder, has also enjoyed the stock propelling higher in part due to the broader market — NASDAQ topped 20,000 for the first time ever Wednesday. Since Election Day, the EV maker’s stock has rallied roughly 65% on investors’ belief that Musk’s influence in the Trump administration will usher in an era of deregulation that will benefit the company. The world’s wealthiest man is now roughly $136 billion richer since November 5, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. While the top spots on the billionaires index typically switch around, Musk is racing past his wealthy peers. As of December 10, before his wealth skyrocketed to $400 billion, he was already $140 billion richer than the second-richest man on Earth, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. Musk’s record-breaking Tesla-shareholder-approved pay package, which was worth $101 billion, was rejected by a Delaware court last week. Bloomberg’s calculation still seems to include the pay package, which is now worth as much as $120 billion based on the current value of Tesla shares. But Musk will still enjoy his riches, with numerous ways to gain significantly more wealth in the coming years.

  18. Will RFK jr. push the Uni solidarity message of Pro-choice abortion on demand? Trump picked a BIG pro-choice guy for the position that administers many abortion programs UNI!!!
  19. The survival of Ukraine is a good thing. Biden helped save a nation. Unlike the Republicans in Congress (not all) , who, at Trump's behest, held off supply these freedom fighters. Horrible. Biden helped save Ukraine while Trump called the invasion a "genius" move by Putin
  20. Big Bernie Sanders supporter! Ya! 🤣
