If the intelligence was correct. If the intelligence was timely. If they were not fooled by misinformation. You can't see underground. It's lke dropping depth charges on a submarine without sonar. The main compound could of literally been miles away underground, and unlike with a submarine, no debris will float to the surface. If the US had real actionable intelligence about exactly where the bombs should go, they probably smashed up the place real good. But if this was guess work, who knows.

But did they know what they were hitting? First casualty of war, is the truth. Deception happens. Early assessment is this set them back a few months. If that's the case, this was a case of a half measure.

And even Israel is admitting Iran can get a bomb, its just the time line being debated, but this is far from over. They will probably have to launch a commando raid at some point
