  1. Corrente? For a Texans game? The fix is in.... "....he opted to eliminate the tumor through chemotherapy and radiation instead of having it surgically removed. The seven-week course was performed at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center." Seriously tho, he's one of my favorite refs.
  2. golf and swimming
  3. I can't think of win this year where Rex's coaching made a difference in the outcome. He gets consistently outcoached in the second half of games. One thing that made Levy so great, and other coaches like Belichek, are they halftime adjustments they make. Rex's adjustments typically result in this team losing the 2nd half of games.
  4. Why aren't all plays reviewed in real time by an off-field group of refs, then they can buzz down and alert the crew like they do in the last 2-minutes of the game? It takes no time at all to review a catch or fumble or whatever... get rid of the coaches challenge and just review everything. And why does the review have to take place before the next snap? If a team lines up right a away for a quick snap, then just blow the whistle in the middle of the play or whenever they get notified from the off-field refs and reset the down. It's not a hard problem to solve, we have the technology. For example, during the SEA/PIT game, they had Mike Carey on the broadcast giving them a real time review of the play and he said it was not a catch well before the field ref standing at the replay booth made a decision. Why not just clone Mike Carey and have him present at every game reviewing everything in realtime and correcting calls. It won't slow the game down any more than already is, ie the SF/ARI game was delayed 15min because they couldn't figure out which down it was. A review of the previous downs would've addressed it in less than a minute.
  5. ...and when they finally lined up for that play (it was 3rd down), they start blowing the fog horn thing over the stadium sound system as Taylor is trying to yell out the snap count... is that allowed?
  6. Smart - no (few) penalties - no turnovers - play to your strengths (pass rush, mccoy/karlos) - win special teams Dumb - take lots of penalties - turn the ball over - try to be something you're not (drop everybody into coverage, throw lots of deep balls) - lose special teams by turning it over, taking penalties, missing FGs, etc... If they play "smart" and lose, then tip-of-the-hat to New England. If they play "dumb" and lose, then they don't deserve to make the playoffs this year... they're just not good enough.
  7. Bills need to fire whoever is in charge of checking the headsets work. This is getting beyond stupid.
  8. I use draft kings, it's fun, mostly play the $0.25 or $1 double-ups for NFL and NHL. If I really like my lineup I'll go $10 double-ups. It's not gonna put me in bankruptcy or pay off my house, it just makes it more fun to watch games you otherwise wouldn't care much about... especially NHL which I like watching anyway. That said, it's gambling and should be illegal.
  9. Ivory has carried this Jets team on his shoulders all season while McCoy has spent most of his time in street clothes. Fully healthy I'd go with McCoy, but he's never fully healthy.
  10. total Bills penalties.... o/u is 11
  11. Fitz will fall to pieces once the weather turns. His hands are too small and his balls flutter when the wind picks up.
  12. A "hot dog" is the wiener itself. It's the meat. It's like asking... "is ham a sandwich?" No, of course not. Is ham/hot dog sliced and placed between two pieces of bread a sandwich? Yes.
  13. I live an hour south of LA in Orange County and there are a lot of Charger fans here. They'd be welcomed with open arms in LA.
  14. Brady gets the ball out so quickly, why bother rushing more than 2? Go 2 down linemen, 2 linebackers, and 6 in the secondary. Double Gronk every play and bracket him with a safety. Make them beat you running the ball or throwing to secondary targets. If they beat you with 4 yard plays, then so be it. Bend don't break.
  15. details here.... https://nflstream.yahoo.com/ how to watch... https://help.yahoo.com/kb/sports-news/SLN26708.html?impressions=true personally, i'll fire it up on my galaxy s6 and chromecast it to my living room TV. I'm assuming it will be available in the Yahoo! Sports app (formerly sportacular). I just hope it's HD quality, and 60fps. I do this with the NFL GamePass app (to watch Bills games) and the quality is excellent.
  16. Cunningham, Wilson, Newton, Stewart?
  17. yeah, all those teams of the last decade were "different". Bledsoe, Lynch, Evans, McGahee, Spikes, TO. Jauron and Gregg Williams were supposed to take the D to the next level, then when the offense was patheic they brought in guys like Chan Gailey, Mike Mularkey, etc... now it's Taylor, McCoy and Rex Ryan. IMO this current team is no different than those teams of the past 15 years. You can name drop all you want, but until they actually do something, it's the same old story. I certainly hope this year is the year, but only time can tell. I'll say one thing, Russ Brandon has done a great job of keeping the fans interested. They haven't been to the playoffs in eons, but that stadium is packed every weekend.
  18. Just like in 2002 when they started 5-3... no wait, I mean 2003 after they pounded the Patriots 31-0 on opening day and made the cover of SI. No... actually, this is more like 2005 in JP Losman's first career start he beat the favored Texans 22-7. Nah... this is just like 2008 when Trent Edwards (they finally found a QB!) led them to a 5-1 start out of the gate. Or is this more like 2001 when Fitz led us to a 5-1 start?
