Yea We could probably be in the drivers seat for the 2nd wildcard right now if he just steps out of bounds. You gotta think if Lewis doesnt play then its going to be Flynn. I cant imagine the horror show that Tuel would put together on Sunday.....

Did they say who would likely start?

Jamaal Charles missed practice today because of a knee injury that he suffered in last weeks game. This would be a big loss for them if he cant go on Sunday. http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2013/10/30/chiefs-rb-charles-misses-practice/

Do teams EVER miss game winning field goals against the Bills? I feel like every time it is going to come down to a field goal to beat us the other team calmly makes the kick perfectly through the uprights. Maybe its just me being a ticked off fan that we have already lost two games on last second field goals this year.

To my surprise, the Bills are ranked #14 in total offense and are one of only two teams to score at least 20 points in every game, averaging 22.7 points a game. They have been able to accomplish all of this with very inexperienced quarterback play and a so-so offensive line. Maybe Hackett isnt so bad after all...

Yea good point. Still, I hate basically throwing away the season and being out of any type of playoff contention come Halloween time. I just want to sign a guy like Josh Freeman so that we have at least a fighting chance against teams with good passing attacks. I have zero patience with this team and I hate the "wait til next year" crap.

I remember the 07 blizzard game quite fondly. I was home from college for winter break and my hometown is the Columbus, OH area. We were 7-6 heading into the game with a bit of momentum as well. We were firmly in playoff contention and this game was essentially an elimination game for both teams. We were having a snowstorm in Columbus as well and because I have Directv, my satellite reception was poor and right at the start of the 4th quarter my reception went out. I was calling up a buddy from college who lives in Buffalo and he was giving me the play by play. I remember us fighting our way down the field and getting all the way to their 5 yard line with a 4th and goal. Of course, our idiot offensive coordinator at the time (I think Fairchild) calls a screen pass to Freddy Jackson and he slips almost as soon as he catches the ball and we lose the game on downs. It was a painful end to the game and last time we were in playoff contention that late in the year. Heres hoping that tonights outcome is much better. Go Bills! -
Spiller is one of the most explosive players in the league and benching him is downright absurd, unless he is too injured to play. He can take any carry the distance and brings an added dimension to the passing game. I do agree that Easley should be out there more but maybe he is just one of those guys that looks great in preseason but when the regular season starts he crumbles against the pressure. He has been very good on special teams though.

Byrd was considered a full participant at practice today for the first time this year. Does that mean he will suit up on Thursday night?

Fred Jackson fumbling
dascottbills28 replied to Don't stop billievein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That fumble before halftime against New England was actually by Spiller in the first matchup last year. Freddy had that big fumble in the second matchup during the 4th quarter on the 1 yard line. -

Tomorrow marks the 6th full week

My guess is that they are being somewhat cautious with the injury and that he will be back by the Cincy game. -
Announcers for tomorrow's game
dascottbills28 replied to dascottbills28's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
haha yea, in my opinion I feel like they should be moved up to one of the two top spots among the CBS announcers. Jim Nantz is perfect for golf but kinda boring and monotone for football. Yea he usually does seem to give a pretty unbiased opinion on young qbs. -
Ian Eagle and Dan Fouts calling the game tomorrow, who are in my opinion one of the best announcing duos on CBS.
-
Does anybody really care? He was a practice squad guy that was occasionally called up when injuries hit. He couldnt even start on a crappy wr group that we had the past few years.

Nigel Bradham where are you???

ok? -
Kyle Williams did not practice...achilles
dascottbills28 replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes you are very right. While he has had some injuries in the past, he is looking pretty stout so far this year and doesnt seemed to be slowed down by his achilles. -
McKelvin and/or Byrd going to play this week?
dascottbills28 replied to dascottbills28's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yea I saw the official practice injury report but was still wondering if anything more was heard or said about whether Mckelvin or Byrd might play. Just his usual Wednesday rest day that he has been doing for the past few seasons I am guessing that he comes back by the Cincy game -
I think after a bad defeat like we just had, the best thing is to move on and focus our attention to this weeks coming game. This shapes up to be a closer game than most will admit. Baltimore got blown out in their opening game, needed a comeback to beat the lowly Browns at home in their second game and while they won big yesterday, the emotion of Ray Lewis being inducted into the team hall of fame rode them to a big emotional win. I see a number of holes in the Baltimore roster and a game that we can steal.

totally agree. While their offense is a work in progress their defense is a legit top 5 defense and will keep them in most games this year. I could even see them hanging around the playoff discussion all the way til the end.....
