  1. Coupled with Pittsburgh's pretty tough remaining schedule are also the injuires that they seem to be incurring, especially along the offensive line. That looks like a 7-9 team to me If New England does rest their starters, then ill say Miami at home who will be probably playing for their playoff lives will be the biggest threat.
  2. Steelers have Miami, Cincy, @ GB(with Rodgers) and Browns left. I easily see one or two more losses in there.
  3. They are definitely in the hunt and still alive but looking at the graphic, with so many teams in the hunt, they couldnt fit in every single team so they just posted the top several teams.
  4. Yea lets just take it one game at a time and see what happens. If we get to 7-7 we have better than a 50/50 chance in my opinion to make the playoffs. Before then, lets just hold back a bit on the playoff talk and enjoy watching EJ develop and the rest of our young players and coaches come along.
  5. Injuries and instability at the quarterback position have likely derailed any chance that he gets to a 1000 yards. He does usually seem to finish out seasons pretty strong so I am guessing he gets to around 850 yards or so.
  6. Yea and looking at all the teams that are either 5-6 or 4-7, I dont see any team of that bunch that will finish out 4-1 or 5-0 to get to 9-7 or 10-6. I honestly believe that the final wildcard spot will be an 8-8 team. In a sense, I feel like we control our own destiny with a 5-0 finish.
  7. Even if Pittsburgh does win and move to 6-6, they are a medicore team and I could easily see them finishing out their last 4 games at 2-2 and being 8-8. There is still far too much football left to say we are dead even if the Steelers beat the Ravens. After the Ravens, the steelers still have the bengals and Green Bay (presumably with Rogers back) and those could easily be two losses for them. We are still very much in the thick of things
  8. I dont remember seeing much of the game. Could you upload it onto youtube if you have it. If not, do you know where I could find it?
  9. Does anybody by chance have that playoff game vs the steelers that they could load onto youtube or even just send to me?
  10. If Carolina keeps on winning it will help our "Strength of Victory" tiebreaker which is like the 5th tiebreaker but still it could make a difference down the road.
  11. Based on what makes you think that he will be any good? If you think that, you must think Manuel will be a hall of famer then.
  12. Thank you! As I was reading this over, I realized that he sounds a lot like JP Losman. Looks like the Jets are going to be drafting a qb come April!
  13. To me, Geno lacks poise and leadership. He seems to float a lot of passes and takes way too many chances with a lot of his throws. He also doesnt strike me as somebody who will put in countless hours studying game film and preparing himself for the opponents defense. He does have a pretty strong arm and doesnt throw a bad deep ball, but other than that, he isnt franchise quarterback material to me. As soon as things start unraveling and things dont go his way, he starts forcing throws and losing his composure.
  14. Actually a win over the Jets would put us only 1.5 games behind them for the final playoff spot. Based on what is going on with all of these mediocre teams fighting for the last playoff spot I think if the Bills win out and get to 9-7 everything else will play out and we would get the 6th and final playoff spot. Just my two cents.
  15. Great post and that is certainly the truth. Everybody that posts on this board, aside from trolls, wants EJ to succeed in every possible way. When it comes down to it, we havent had a franchise qb since Jim Kelly retired in 1996. We are WAYYYY overdue for one. EJ, please keep improving and become that guy.
  16. or 1.5 games out with 5 to play...
  17. If we ran the table and got to 9-7, what would the chance of us be making the playoffs with a weak AFC? Would the 6-6 conference record that we would have derail our chances?
  18. With everybody in the AFC losing, could the Bills run the table and finish 9-7 and snag that last playoff spot?!? Its possible folks!! Okay I am JUST KIDDING! One can dream though, right?
  19. I wish he never came back as GM because not only did he do a rather unsatisfactory job but at the same time I feel like it tarnished the legacy that he had created with the Buffalo Bills and their fans. He was a great coach and motivator but was just not cut out for GM duties, especially at his age.
  20. Great post and I definitely think that you are on to something. I will start to feel much better about potential playoff chances when and if we win the next two AFC games vs the Steelers and Jets to get to 5-6. If we do get to 5-6, I feel like the next 4 after that (Falcons, Jags, Bucs, and Fins) are very very winnable games. The last game against the Pats looks like it could be against their second stringers as they should have the division and a playoff spot wrapped up by then. The best way to go is just to take it one game at a time. We Definitely have a chance though and its not some far off dream either.
  21. Well if he can handoff and throw an occasional screen pass we might have a small fighting chance...
  22. While I am not one that wants to see Tuel play on Sunday, what strengths does he possess? He got signed onto an NFL roster for some reason so there must be SOMETHING that he is somewhat good at when it comes to the quarterback position.
  23. Tom Brady was 20-5 in the two years that he started at Michigan. Jeff Tuel was 4-22 in the 3 years that he started at Washington State. So just based on that, Tom Brady was indeed better in college
  24. A 50 year old Jim Kelly would be a better option at this point. I still having a feeling that if Thad is able to throw at all in the next day or two that he will indeed start. We need a special teams and Defensive TD to win this game.
  25. We are assuming that he stinks based on a poor college career, the ability to barely hold onto the starting job at Washington State, and a terrible performance against the Browns. Those three things to me do not add up to anything but a very very below average NFL qb. I hope I am wrong though....
