You are correct. We do not win any tiebreakers over any team or teams that get to 10 wins. Ideally, this weekend we want San Fran to beat SD, Pitt to beat KC, Den to beat Cincy, and Houston to beat Ravens. 3 out of 4 of those are very possible.

There are actually a few scenarios that exist where we can make it in with a 9-7 record, such as the Ravens, Steelers, Browns finishing 9-7, the Browns would leapfrog one of those teams in the division tiebreaker and then we would leapfrog the Browns in the conference based on head-to-head record. We would also need either the Chargers or Chiefs to finish 8-8. In that scenario, the Bills and either Chiefs/Chargers would get the wildcard and Cincy would win the North.

I imagine that you are probably joking around but that game last night had essentially zero impact on the Bills chances. Root for Pitt over at KC, Den over Cincy, San Fran over SD, and Hou over Baltimore this week. If even 3 of those happen, then we are in very good shape going into week 17, assuming that we take care of business over the Raiders.

Yea I was just assuming that Pitt would crush KC this week at home. If that happens, then the SD-San Fran game on saturday night isnt really that big of a deal. But since I guess SD plays first, it would be nice to get them to their 7th loss and make that one less team that we have to worry about in our playoff quest.

Even if San Fran doesnt win this over week SD, doesnt that just mean that we need KC to beat them at home the following week? I dont see why the San Fran-SD game is that big of a deal?

It really isnt that tough of an equation for us. SD plays at San Fran and then at KC, they could very easily lose 1 if not both games. KC plays at Pitt and that could easily be their one loss, assuming they beat SD. Cincy plays vs Den and then at Pitt, I can easily see them losing both of those games, especially with how poorly Dalton has been playing. The toughest part of the equation is the Bills winning at NE, especially if they play their starters all game.

If we beat GB tomorrow, and with the ways things are going around the rest of the AFC, I really think that we have a great chance to be alive in the playoff race heading to NE in week 17. I read somewhere that if we go into week 17 with a 9-6 record that we would have around a 50% chance to make the playoffs. With the way things have been going the past decade, ill gladly take those odds at earning a playoff berth.

Hes probably better than Pears so I guess right now he would be an upgrade but for next year we HAVE TO get better guards either through the draft or free agency. Its one of the main reasons we probably wont make the playoffs this year (the other being QB of course).

He was one of the worst rated guards in the league in 2013 and he wasnt much better in the first few games this year. I would cut him and either draft somebody or sign an above average veteran
