Bills cold emailing for ticket sales?
microscopes replied to sullim4's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills sales staff will do anything to get a sale. I buy Suite tickets for home games. A couple of years ago, I didn't buy them soon enough for Jean Pierre Paul's liking (sales member with the Bills) and he called me one day and said "Listen man, are you going to buy or what. I'm sick of calling you". I responded "Then stop calling me. I'm not calling you. I am going to buy, but I'm going to call back and purchase from a different sales person". He was an ass. -

If (as advertised) it's a fair fight, then Tuel is winning.

He played well. Against 3rd and 4th stringers. EJ played against 1st and 2nd stringers. Whats fair about that? -

Hackett on CJ Spiller's Role in the Offense

My first post was me asking to change my Username (look on the Customer Service forum). It dawned on me after I signed up the potential Avenged Sevenfold jokes that I didn't want to hear over and over. However I couldn't change it until I reached 50 or 75 posts. Not sure which. The option just popped up in my profile one day. It probably wasn't as interesting as you thought it would be. Sorry. -
I disagree with you. A swap of assets is a trade. No matter how you break it down. I do apologize for calling you a dumbass however. That's not my style.

Skip Bayless on EJ's 2-minute drive

Bingo. -
You're thinking of the poison pill attached to transition tags, which are now 'illegal' ala Wes Welker. Not poison pill trades related to franchise tenders. Although poison pill really is a misnomer.
-
You're wrong. From the CBA: "Section 8. No Assignment: No Club may assign or otherwise transfer to any other Club the exclusive negotiating rights or any Right of First Refusal it may have for any Franchise Player, nor any Right of First Refusal it may have for any Transition Player, nor any designation rights it may have."
-
Thats exactly what it is. You get a player. I get draft picks. That's a trade. He can be traded as soon as he wants to be and another team wants him. Agents do this all the time. He signs a conditional tender, and he is traded. Not difficult. Let me know when you finish law school and we will talk.
-
Earth to dumbass. That is an equivalency trade. If you sign Byrd, you have to give the Bills picks. One team gets the player, the other team gets picks. That's an equivalency trade. Secondly, there is no team that will do an equivalency trade (signing him) due to the amount they would have to give up. So an actual trade is what would need to happen. And for an actual trade to happen, the Bills would have to sign Byrd to his tender before signing the trade paperwork. So as I said, don't be a dick. It's assumed that Byrd would sign the deal before being traded.
-
It has to be approved by him, considering that he has to sign the tender for the Bills to sign the trade paper work. Disagree. I think he's not reporting because: 1) Avoid risk of injury. 2) Why should he? He gets paid the same regardless of whether he reports to camp on time or 3 days before the opener.

Skip Bayless on EJ's 2-minute drive
microscopes replied to BillnutinHouston's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well for one thing, he threw the ball more than 3 yards down the field. In fact, Luck's average pass was over 10 yards. I think EJ threw one pass over 10. -
Don't be a dick. I think it's obviously assumed that any trade would have to be approved by Byrd. However, lets be honest. If there was a willing trade partner out there, Byrd's agent would be all over it.

Skip Bayless on EJ's 2-minute drive
microscopes replied to BillnutinHouston's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Same here. I know it didn't work the first or second play. But im not sure about the whole drive. -
The offensive line was mostly starters or players vying for starting jobs. They weren't transitioning the line much. Especially with a rookie QB making his first start. Sure the starting RB and WR wasn't in. But against the 3rd string D, that doesn't make much of a difference. That drive basically doesn't matter. Perhaps for confidence.

That is absolute nonsense and shows that you are either extremely ignorant about what happens outside of Buffalo or are purposely defiant. Lynch is not just having great games, he is having great seasons. He was an ALL PRO candidate last season. Do you know what that means? He had 1800 yards last season. That's more than Fred has had his last 2 seasons COMBINED. That's 500 yards more than Fred has had in a season in his ENTIRE CAREER. Nothing annoys me more than homers who can't admit the truth. And for what it's worth, I wanted Lynch out of Buffalo too. -
I don't see Whaley, with his new culture change, tagging a player for the same amount per year as he wants in a contract, and having to go through the same thing again next year. I just don't see it happening. Maybe though

My opinion is that value is based on REAL production. Not perceived value. Or college statistics. -
He reported to camp, when it opened. On time. And I don't remember him missing any OTA's. Correct me if I'm wrong and provide a link. I also don't think money had much to do with Manning's contract. There was no rush to sign him. Maybe you're right. But I highly doubt the Bills franchise him again. Valid points.
