  1. So now fans don't only have to pay for the Ticket, they have to pay for an external device to be plugged into their TV. And if their TV only has one input like many older TV's do, they have to constantly unplug one and plug in the other. This is all very silly. Netflix has more subscribers. However, many of them are mail only subscribers. Some of them are mail and online but only use mail. And some are online and don't even use their service (like myself). Nearly everyone who has the NFL Sunday Ticket is watching it at the same time every week. That's a huge server load and bandwidth load at the same exact time that everyone is trying to watch. And with Netflix, there are a lot of people watching all different things. With the NFL, there are millions watching the same 8 programs at the same exact time. Totally different animals.
  2. Ok apparently people need quotes from the defense as well. "Extremely different. There's times, you know, I couldn't tell you what position I play exactly, because I really don't know." - Mario Williams "It's like I'm a rookie all over again. I had to go to Office Depot and get more flash cards." - Bryan Scott But you're probably right. He's probably going to pick it up in 2 weeks time without any game experience, and without any issues.
  3. 1) On older TV's, there is only 1 or 2 connections. The DirecTV box is permanently plugged in (meaning people don't generally plug in and unplug after every use). Therefore, for those people, they would have to plug their Desktop into their TV every time. Maybe not a big deal to you, but it would be to many. Especially elderly people who don't know how to accomplish this, and wouldn't want to pull their TV out from against the wall every week and do this. 2) Have you used YouTube recently? Buffering is a serious issue. Somehow I doubt they would magically solve this by the time the NFL games, with MASSIVE bandwidth, starts to play. Perfect example of someone who don't have a newer TV and this move would create an annoyance for them.
  4. In my opinion, that's a horrible idea. Although I and many others have new TV's that have that technology, many don't. There are still millions of people with 10 year old TV's that don't have applications to stream. There only option would be to purchase hardware to screen share their laptop at a much lower resolution on their television. I hope the NFL see's better of this. I don't mind selling the Ticket to others, but keep it on at least one national television platform, such as DirecTV or Time Warner.
  5. Right. But many people purchase the Ticket because they don't live in Buffalo anymore. Who wants to watch a full Bills game on their desktop? I don't.
  6. Do you think they would have the sole rights? If that's the case, that would really blow. Who wants to watch a full game on your computer?
  7. I'm perplexed as to what Google would do with it exactly.
  8. Good. He'll have 2.5 weeks to try and learn this new defense which opposing QB's have called "exotic" and complicated.
  9. Trust me, after the verbal lashing you've given me, I REALLY wish I saw that post. Trust me. Fair enough. But by that same logic, you should have read all of my conversation with Kelly after that original post before reaching your conclusion. Because you would have seen that I was corrected and let it go. Agreed.
  10. You say i've done it a few times now. No I haven't. Name a single time. I didn't even intentionally do it this time. I took the exact quote as it was posted on Twitter. Looking back, it was obviously someone looking to get peoples attention and a bunch of retweets. I should have known better. Once the context was shown to me, I didn't say another word. Many times through history people have been bashed for having different opinions and then they have gone on to revolutionize what they are doing. I am proud of what I believe and what I know. I am unabashed in my view of not thinking teams should ever punt when past either 40 yard line. I'm proud of believing that teams should go for two point conversions every time. I think a team should go for it any time its 4th down and less than 4. I have many other thoughts that aren't popular, but that doesn't mean they are not valid. And I shouldn't have to be called a troll every time I express one. I may be different but don't go around saying I've done this multiple times. The only thing I'm guilty of is having a different opinion than others and being called a troll for it. In fact, maybe I should make this my signature so people know what I'm about and stop thinking i'm here to get their goat.
  11. That was the exact quote from the Tweet I saw that announced the news. Then Kelly The Dog responded and said well that means CJ Spillers job is in jeopardy as well. I asked him what he was talking about. Then he explained the context. Then I didn't say anything more because I understood the context. You have an issue with assuming things. I don't think anyone said Tuel is worthy of starting. What was said is he should be given a chance to compete for the job and not automatically be labeled a 3rd stringer
  12. As opposed to saying "Tuel is a great addition to the team but the current competition is between Kolb and EJ". That's not difficult. Coach Speak is another way of saying "lying". I don't see Marrone being that guy. But maybe he is. Did Marrone say the RB position was an open competition? I didn't see that.
  13. "I want him (Jeff) to compete to be the starting quarterback" - Doug Marrone If he is lying, that's on him, not me. Yes I did. "I want him (Jeff) to compete to be the starting quarterback" - Doug Marrone I read that. Coach Speak is what your labeling it. Doug himself says he is a straight shooter.
  14. Funny, I said that if Marrone was serious about this being an open competition then Tuel should be given the opportunity to compete. I was mocked.
  15. I think the thought is that if Kolb starts a couple games, they're not going to bench him to start EJ. It would take until we're virtually out of the playoffs to start EJ. LOL. You're talking about a nearly 30 year difference in medical technology.
  16. According to ESPN this is nothing and EJ could play next Sunday if we really needed him to (if it was a playoff game for example). I hope they're right.
  17. If by working for it you mean putting putting up 14 points in one game and 17 in another then sure. Those are pretty pitiful scoring outputs. In the most recent SB, Brady had an intentional grounding penalty in the endzone which caused his team 2 points. This killed them as a FG could have won the game at the end without it. The Pats had a total of 15 passing first downs the entire game. That's less than 4 per quarter. To put that into perspective, the Patriots averaged 28 per game last year. Then there was the horrible interception he threw that led to the 5 or 6 minute clock burning drive by NY. Dude, he was average. In the first SB, Brady threw 1 TD. In the other TD drive it was all rushing and then one fortunate pass interference call. In fact, he was 3 of 8 for 23 yards. Everything else was the running game. Brady had ONE good drive the whole game. ONE. He was sacked 5 times. A couple of them at the most misopportune times. He also fumbled once or twice I believe. He was average. No matter how you slice it, he was average in those games.
  18. 2 Suite Tickets for Sale to the opener. I'd rather watch Kolb implode and take us down with him in the comfort of my home.
  19. Brady did it almost exclusively against our Cover 2 with Jauron. Bombs to Randy Moss.
  20. Not really. Brady eats up agressive defenses who pretend to be attacking defenses when they're not. TRUE aggressive defenses like the Giants beat them twice in the Super Bowl and make Brady look amateur. We'll find out Week 1 which one we are.
  21. That Christian Ponder quote got me excited
  22. Unfortunately it may be a detriment to not have him throw downfield in preseason and then try his first long pass against an NFL secondary when the games actually count. Excellent analysis.
  23. I took that into consideration. And I don't take any of that away from him. I just don't give him heaps of praise for scoring two touchdowns against 3rd string defenses.
  24. I think context is always good. He has looked good ... Against 2nd and 3rd stringers. I hope it translates to first stringers. That wood be great!
