  1. To me this is a great example of a headline shooting for effect...you can watch Frazier's interview on the Vike's website....and to say he was upset is reading some into the expression on his face and reading alot into his words...his team wasn't ready for what they saw on the field and he didn't have an answer when asked the question regarding how exotic the Bill's played defense...instead of upset i would have said "bewildered"... i think the real takeaway from the interview was Frazier's team didn't come prepared to play against a motivated Bill's defense...
  2. in terms of stroke the bills rank somewhere near the bottum of the barrel...for lots of legit reasons...small market, past performance and another cycle of rebuilding....so i don't expect much respect from anyone on nearly any topic...no one is going to give the Bills any preference till they earn some respect....and that means beating good teams... meanwhile just chalk the coverage bias up to the price of sucking for so many years...meanwhile the only way to beat good teams is to play them...so from where i sit bring on the best...why not?
  3. It started when i was dismissing how the Bills would never let JByrd get away and then I thought about Jabari Greer.. Jason Peters.. London Fletcher.... Willis Mcgahee, Donte Whitner, Levitre..Posluszny and it struck me how those guys could make a significant impact on the success of their teams...i'm not sure which one i would want back...but i do know they were all talented players that for one reason or another got away....so here's the question...which one of the former bills (maybe someone i overlooked) who's likely to play this year would you want back.... If you pushed me hard enough i'd love to see Poz in Pettine's scheme....
  4. Truth is somewhere in the middle...the NFL has become a economic development engine...jobs/secondary businesses/improving the odds of attracting new businesses are just a few reasons football is bigger than just lineing the pockets of the owners...although it sure does that as well...i can understand government chipping in to find/keep a franchise...but the kind of outrageous money being thrown around today can do a lot more good in other places...if the government is going to prop up some of these owners then the owners need to pay a price...like giving up the ability to blackout games...or some percent of the capacity for a price the average guy can afford...just looks like another case of messed up priorities...in the end this really isn't about fans...it's a lot more about money and influence...
  5. I'm at 8 - 8 the combination of Chan/DaveW/Fitz cost this team the season, and they're gone...the Coaches appear better...the receivers appear better...the qb's are different...between addition by subtraction and adding new blood this team should be a couple of games better than last years...
  6. I agree that Kirwan knows football...and i agree that a one page camp summary isn't going to reveal much more than the obvious...but i do think the national football media will set a very low expectation for the bills...frankly they all got scorched last year by setting the Bills up as playoff possible...there is no upside painting the bills as anything but a work in progress and under new management...as a fan i think they got the stuff to surprise...unlike last year...this year may be a pleasent surprise...
  7. hoping for a repeat of openning day 2003...i'm dusting off my Lawyer Milloy jersey...
