  1. I just chatted with them. The base streaming package is 279 bucks....Forget what Max is, but about a hundred dollars more...and Max-plus is a bit more than that.
  2. Some new streaming availability for Sunday Ticket: DIRECTV NOW subscribers with a billing zip code in the greater Los Angeles, Phoenix, Boston, Philadelphia, San Antonio, Hartford, and Louisville areas can now subscribe to NFL Sunday Ticket as an add-on to their DIRECTV NOW subscription even if you are not a student and live in a area that an get DIRECTV. But can't figure out how much they charge on top of the 55 bucks a month. If anyone finds out, please post here.
  3. I have juju concerns. Allen was looking better than expected...things were looking pretty good...and McBean brings in someone with the name Ryan....bad juju, man....bad juju.
  4. I don't know about PFF, but there seems to be a lot of people who seem to be personally invested in seeing Josh Allen. It's as if they are angry that the Bills would dare to pick Allen and irately insist that Allen will be a bust. It's one thing to rationally think that Allen will be a bust...or for a Bills fan to be angry they picked him...but there is a group in the media who act as if Allen's success would be a personal insult to them....which is weird. Many in this group also seem angry the Bills let Tyrod go. It's a group that picks the Bills to finish last. Again, I think that it's fine to pick the Bills last...and there are some reasons to do so: no established quarterback, concerns about o-line, etc. However, they seem angry when they say it...as if they are saying, "It serves them right." My suspicion is that they see the Bills as mounting an attack on analytics and want them to fail for doing so. Again, my suspicion is that this crowd is populated by analysts who rely on a superficial understanding of analytics: e.g. Tyrod's touchdown to interception ratio and Allen's completion percentage. I don't think that the Bills are attacking analytics...or ignoring them...but look at context and have a more complex understanding of them...and that there are other metrics....like Tyrod's third down completion rate. But because they see Bills as anti-analytics they feel personally invested in seeing them fail.
  5. Honestly, one of the most beautiful things I have seen as a Bills fan is the way Allen ducked away from the defender while keeping his eyes down field. He could sense pressure without having to turn and see it. That is a skill that has been consistently lacking in our long string of lackluster quarterbacks.
  6. What could possibly go wrong?
  7. And most who speak the name of the coach whose name must not be spoken have pronounced it wrong, too.Cheatriot in chief's name pronunciation
  8. I would agree for the most part, but I am not even sure about some of the deep balls. On one of them, Tasker pointed out that Foster was watching the ball the whole way and that if he just spotted the ball...ran...and then looked again at the last minute, he almost certainly would have caught up with the ball. On another, Foster gave up on the play. Yes, one was out of bounds which is an accuracy problem. On the passes where he missed badly, it looked like he and the receiver were on different pages. So, I worry about him reading defenses and knowing where his receiver is going to be...but those aren't accuracy problems.
  9. Yes, or force the other team to throw the challenge flag before they have had a chance to look at a play closely....and have them lose the challenge.
  10. Ah, certainly could've been. I didn't do a search....just relied on my often faulty memory.
  11. I seem to remember that yesterday, or the day before, Daboll was yelling at Clay for not looking for the back shoulder pass. Nice they are coming back to work on it.
  12. I think the point is that as a QB prospect he is simultaneously dead and alive.
  13. Couldn't agree more. Haven't read his columns since they were free and linked to TBD, but when I did, his columns seemed one-note and predictable. Some posters say they were angered by Sullivan. Personally, I find it hard to get angry at someone who just predictably says, "this sucks" at every move. Bored, yes. Angry, no. And yes, columnists who get readers angry DO sell papers....but columnists who bore their readers do not.
  14. The reason I doubt that he would walk is that he is under contract. Nobody seems to know the details of Belichick's contract....but imagine he is in the last year. If he walks, the Patriots still have his rights...if he plays out this season, then he is a free agent and can go to say...the Dolphins and stick it to Kraft twice a year which seems like a very Belichickian move. I also wonder about McDaniels reneging on a head coaching job....but imagine if Bill told him, I have one year here and then I am out...so if you stay you will be in place to take over. It's rampant speculation, but I have been wondering if Belichick is out after this year.
  15. The end of the 2022-23 season.
  16. Post game press conference after a playoff game against Miami...said "We kicked their ass" and remember seeing it on ESPN and commentator saying, "Wait...can you say "ass" on tv"? Apparently, you could...and he did.
  17. Yeah, there is a clip that I saw that made me think we just might have something really special. Sorry....I have been looking casually at a number of highlight videos and I don't remember which it was...but think it was from the Senior Bowl. Anyway, it was one of those throws from about 30 yards out to the middle of the end zone. It's kind of throw that over the past many years as a Bills fan I would have to beg to "get there....get there" while defensive backs are closing from all angles. In the video of Allen it also seems instantaneous between when he decides to throw and the ball is in the receiver's hands.
  18. Yeah....need someone to teach running out of the back of the end zone. That kind of unawareness doesn't come naturally. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J0OkR986LL4
  19. They done made his kinfolk proud.
  20. I, too, preferred Rosen. But two things make me feel good about the Allen pick. 1) When they showed Rosen in the draft room and I saw his small frame, I couldn't help thinking: "Wow, he looks like Sam Bradford," which does worry me. The second is, if you are going to buy a lottery ticket (and all the evidence is that even quarterbacks at the top of the draft are a lottery ticket), why not buy a Powerball instead of a church festival raffle ticket? Yes, the Bills might have to do this again in three or four years.....but instead of just treading water and getting a quarterback who will get by....if you want a game changer, you probably have to take some chances.
  21. It's legal because it is collectively bargained. It's one of the arguments for the player's union to de-certify rather than go on strike. If there's no union, this becomes illegal.
  22. Oglethorpe? They have Oglethorpe?!
  23. Yeah....If you don't have the likes of a Case Keenum on your team, you're screwed.
