Ashley Madison leak -- the fallout begins
BuffalOhio replied to truth on hold's topic in Off the Wall Archives
It amazes me that people are dumb enough to use their work email addresses for such a purpose. The real downfall of our society can be seen in how remarkably stupid people can be. -
I called back in late June when I was driving from Cleveland to the Motherland for my niece's graduation at Niagara-Wheatfield. I talked to some very nice people while complaining about my bill being so high when I have been a customer for every year since June of 2001 through 3 moves. I don't know all the pricing details, but on that particular call they gave me a whole bunch of credits and discounts off my bill and also signed me up for a new Genie and 2 remote receivers and painless installation. The Genie is awesome - it's nice to have only one DVR in the house (more energy efficient for sure) and their technician installed a brand new dish and gave me 4 remotes (basement DVR has two different TV's connected) and set everything up perfectly. It's nice to have one playlist and be able to record up to 5 shows at once and watch that same list in any room. On top of that, my monthly bill went down about $30.00 and they told me they could only give me $6.00 off ST at that time, but more discounts looked to be available in July and to call back then. In July I called and got $9.00 off my ST payment. Reading through these posts that seems like the most I could hope for. Call them, be nice to them and they will nearly bend over backwards for you. Like others have said - I'm not leaving them anytime soon. I just wish they'd apply ALL those credits that we build up as soon as they are there so our bills would just be lower. My payments during ST/CI months are still painful. It's nice to finally have hope for BOTH teams again, however! LET'S GO BUFF-A-LO!!!!

Cyrus Kouandjio not wasting any time prepping for 2015
BuffalOhio replied to stevewin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A lot of guys in college are just better than everyone else and don't really have to work that hard to stay on top. It's different in the pros, where talent isn't enough. "Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard." Don't know who's quote that is, but it's perfect for any sport. I'm glad to see him working hard. It can only help. -
I'm sorry, but I think we took a big step back

Well they did play against the Bills running game twice this year... -
I've been retired from the Coast Guard (yeah yeah, puddle pirates) for just over 5 years now, brother. Enjoy it. Take some time off if you can before you jump into a second career. Take a breather, you've earned it. That's a great story, and if I get to Pittsburgh I will check the place out as I have strong carnivorous tendencies. If anyone is ever in Springfield, VA, check out the Drunken Ribeye at Mike's American Grill on Backlick Road. The best tasting steak I've ever had, and I've never topped it anywhere in the USA (believe me - I've tried!). I miss that place (stuck in Cleveland now). PM me if you want some information on getting the most out of your VA benefits that you have EARNED. Jeff Kuhn CWO3, USCG, ret.

They won't do anything of note at QB. Who's out there? Orton looked pretty good with time today. Shore up the O-Line at all costs so they can run AND pass effectively.

Should The Bills Retain CJ Spiller?
BuffalOhio replied to PolishDave's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Has no idea how to hit the hole. Always dances to find the big run instead of the 4-5 yards he could get in the hole. Tired of him dancing and running out of bounds and losing 3-5 yards. Buh bye CJ. -
No QB's have enough time to try anything down the field with this very offensive line. That's probably why we don't see longer pass plays to Watkins. A new QB is probably not a realistic option this offseason, as much as we want one. We should focus on upgrading the guards and getting a better OC and OL coach. I think that will help get Sammy more involved downfield.

The Bills smack the snot out of other teams players

Easley is the most amazing gunner on ST's that I've seen in a long time. He's always RIGHT there! -
For some reason I was sitting at my desk and today's date made me think of the Bills @ Dolphins game on 11/18/91. I happened to be away from home working on computer systems on Coast Guard Cutter Mackinaw in Northern Michigan and was glad the Bills were on Monday Night Football. National game - GREAT results. A fun memory. Read on: http://www.nytimes.c...ts-moments.html

If you live in the market of a different NFL team...
BuffalOhio replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I live in the Cleveland area. I like the Browns and want them to do well, but NEVER at the Bills' expense. Johnny Football has brought some excitement here. To me, he's like a young Brett Favre and he brings a lot of excitement to the game. Much unlike EJ, about whom I feel, "Meh." By the way, my nickname here in hockey circles is "Buffalo," if that gives you any indication of the strength of my fandom. And I've also lived in Detroit and DC, and didn't give a crap about either of those teams. Go Bills! -
I have torn both ACL's. My first was in 1990 and I had open knee reconstruction. It was a modified Jones reconstruction on the left knee, in which the doctor (Indians and Browns physician by the way) grafted a piece of my patellar tendon into holes drilled into the femur and the tibia. Once the holes healed themselves, the tendon basically took the place of the shredded ACL (astroturf injury and nobody touched me - I just changed directions and my heel caught the turf before I was ready for it - Turf Monster). The worst part about this surgery is the pain, swelling, and scar tissue that grew while my knee was locked into an 11-degree flexion. Never have open knee surgery!!! It was 8 months to the day that I played hockey again. I also lost my lateral meniscus with that injury, and THAT is what really affects me now at age 50. The second injury was a cheap shot in hockey (don't worry - I got even later) with only minimal cartilage damage but a shredded right ACL. Again I had modified Jones, but it was done via the scope. I walked without a limp in 3 weeks and was back on skates in 4 months - I shouldn't have been, but that was the athlete in me as mentioned above! That knee is fine, and the hardest part was waiting for my body to heal. The ACL reconstruction process is pretty straightforward and these days it's second-nature. It's just a waiting game. Kiko will have the best of care possible and his rehab will be monitored closely by true experts. He will be fine, but it will be very difficult for him to just watch the entire season. If he were just a recreational athlete like me, he could probably come back at 5 months, but to play in the NFL he needs as much rehab time as he can get. If it were going to happen, it's better that it happened now so he gets a good long time to recover. Uwe Krupp did it once. Jumping over things during a Sabres' workout. It happens. You can blow your ACL stepping off a curb.

WVAU TV Marcel Dareus arrested-edit-again
BuffalOhio replied to Punch's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why can't these guys realize that they are wasting the opportunity of a lifetime to make more money than most people will ever be able to fathom. Put your childish antics on hold for about 7-10 years and set yourself and your family up for the rest of your lives. Have all the fun you want when your career is over, but maximize your income for these few short years by focusing on your PROFESSION. They don't deserve to be paid like they are if they are going to be stupid morons about it. Goodbye, Marcell. You won't last through your contract if you keep this up. -
The New stadium must be a dome
BuffalOhio replied to Kellyto83TD's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Anyone that has been to downtown Indianapolis recently can see what having a covered stadium and hosting the Superbowl can do for a city. The downtown is bustling and beautiful now and it's because they hosted a Superbowl in 2012. There is a lot of business buildup around a stadium when a Superbowl is awarded. I was there just a few short months after they hosted the Game in 2012. Indianapolis is beautiful now, and we should all want the same for our beloved Buffalo. Let go of tradition and do what's best for our homeland, folks. If you want to speed up Buffalo's renaissance, build a covered stadium downtown and watch progress unfold. -
Can't believe this is happening. May God Bless you and your family, Jim.

I can't see how Andre Tippett is in the hall and Darryl Talley is not. Complete injustice.
