  1. i like the idea of two LT-quality tackles, giving ej bookends for the next 10 years and hackett the ability to runt the ball down our opponents' throats if our defense is performing at the level of which they are capable. that being said im not opposed to grabbing a possibly elite pass-catcher early and hoping for (/trading up for?) morgan moses in the second. also: any chance of getting that font banned from 2bd, took me a half hour to read the op
  2. this is a fantastic idea, someone page doug whaley
  3. robert woods used to play a lot of cornerback and was quite good at it
  4. * evans ebron or lewan
  5. i can't tell if this is a joke, but if it is - i think this has more truth to it than you might expect.
  6. dont get me weong im a huge watkins fan, but if we trade up high enough that watkins and robinson are still on the board, im not sure id be able to talk myself out of taking robinson.
  7. this is wildly inaccurate. this joke got no love, but i think it's very funny.

  9. i know there was a post about not copy and pasting copyright material but i believe quoting is permitted? according to NFL.com: "Donald Penn, OT, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Although he's battled weight problems in the past, Penn hasn't missed a start in six years. His first visit is to the Raiders on Friday. Zach Strief, OT, New Orleans Saints: The Jets are no longer an option after signing Breno Giacomini , but Strief is reportedly drawing interest from the Dolphins to replace Jonathan Martin . Davin Joseph, G, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Joseph met with the Rams , but that position might be closed with the Rodger Saffold re-signing. There's always Miami. Travelle Wharton, G, Carolina Panthers: After stabilizing the Panthers ' offensive line last season, Wharton is still contemplating joining Jordan Gross in retirement. "
  10. put me down for no thank you
  11. maybe this means we'd be able to take advantage of him in negotiations. or maybe it means doug whaley would get dissed over some sick beats after a contract dispute goes sour. who knows? really, the issues that affect how i "feel a/b" mike evans: 1) is he a good football player? 2) is he a liability off the field? 3) does he have injury concerns? 4) how does he fit our scheme/needs? 5) who are our other options? none of which are affected by the identity of his agent. and if you're going to argue with me that this affects #2, i think you should be careful about what you say to justify that opinion.
  12. why do you think aaron williams will move to FS?
  13. also, pray that they dont sign browner
  14. is kiko going to be angry about the move? we dont want to make kiko angry. you wont like him when he's angry.
  15. incredibly athletic, he's sideline to sideline player and makes a lot of chase-down plays. wins with speed more than power. has elite measurables for his position. a little dumb. played very well at OLB for someone who was an RB just 2 years ago, so people think he has more room to get better then players who have been at their position since highschool. high-risk, high-reward prospect.
  16. last year we put gilmore on graham because he was big enough to handle him
  17. last year's offseason acquisitions worked out quite well, so im giving 1bd the benefit of the doubt on these guys until they fail
  18. i dont really know that much about switching between cb and safety, but does robey have the makeup to make the move to safety? (so that we can play our best 5 DBs on the field at the same time) i guess after i saw the williams switch work i might be too hyped up about the whole moving guys around thing...
  19. I know there are a few threads on Byrd active, but there doesn't seem to be a consensus on whether or not Byrd's contract situation was handled well by Russ, Whaley, & Co (some think it was smart to let him walk, others are outraged) and I was wanted to see how 2BD felt as a group.
  20. to me, this deal screams "drew brees is 35! we're all in on the next few years before our window closes!"
  21. wow vaccaro / byrd may be the best safety pair in the game
