  1. i disagree, i like everything about mike mayock. i think mike mayock usually has a much better grasp of the draft than the other talking heads like mcshay, kiper, brooks, etc (i do like jeremiah as well - though not quite as much). just one example: i remember vividly just before the bills picked at 16, on the nfl network draft coverage, mike mayock goes "the dark horse pick for buffalo here is ej manuel." ten seconds later the buffalo bills shocked everyone but mayock by draft "ej manuel, quarterback, florida state."
  2. ignore teddy bridgewater and marquise lee's 'falling' draft status teddy bridgewater will be drafted before both blake bortles and derek carr marquise lee will go before cooks, benjamin, and beckham someone will trade up for aaron donald if they draft an OT in round 1, buffalo will draft a TE in round 2. the bills will not draft eric ebron if evans or matthews or lewan is still on the board.
  3. actually, its not time to get pumped for game one yet
  4. reading these tweets made me want him to be a bill a little less (i mean obviously id still be elated to get him on draft day) they just seemed unprofessional and childish to me
  5. wait, so you skill get rd. 1 on thursday though, right?
  6. im a little confused, was this a report from a the media, or a friend of yours, or what is going on here?
  7. wish we had silver instead of goodell
  8. there are now reports coming out of ESPN that "the Bills are actively trying to trade up"
  9. not buying this i was thinking the same thing. where we are at 9 seems like the right spot for a QB because its where the elite players have just run out in most mocks. im quite sure that the browns and bills have an excellent relationship what with 1) the pettine connection and 2) a regional/playoff-drought affinity for each other and so a 9/4 trade would make sense. both sides obviously want to win though, moving to 4 would cost us a lot, probably more than a second round pick (hopefully next year, this years depth through the second is too good to pass up!)
  10. +1 one to this i've been noticing we tend to go after size on the OL we also like to go with speed at CB 40 yard dash times: Corey Graham: 4.38 s Leodis McKelvin: 4.39 s Stephon Gilmore: 4.42 s
  11. of course i advocate whaley not showing his hand just before the draft, just as any fan who roots for buffalo success should. i was merely pointing out that from a fan perspective, these interviews are meaningless and therefore uninteresting.
  12. i disapprove of the way in which this thread was set up
  13. While I agree with your end premise of trading up for Clowney (dependent on cost), I think that justifying moves with vague sportisms like "some times you just gotta" is dangerous. I much prefer thoughtful analysis of risk and reward.
  14. these pressers are always so boring, just a bunch of non-information, throwing compliments at every prospect.
  15. well, the difference in my mind was that previous threads were started by a fan saying that they wish we'd trade stevie while this thread was relaying an actual nfl.com report that the Bills have been shopping stevie.
  16. didn't know where to post this, but I decided it might fit into 'other weird stuff': Bleacher Report did a 'Top 100 Players in the NFL' list today, and two Bills players made the list: Marcel Dareus and Leodis McKelvin
  17. Well, it's as true as the statement that Doug Marrone told Stevie Johnson that he wouldn't be traded. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000335296/article/report-chip-kelly-told-desean-jackson-not-to-worry
  18. just like chip kelly told desean jackson that he'd be an eagle in 2014?
  19. to be fair, stevie usually wears a backpack to his pressers presumably because he feels that doing so increases his level of swag
  20. This may be a bunch of nothing, but on Wednesday's 'NFL.com, Around the League Podcast,' Chris Wesseling (who is normally considered to be a professional, reliable reporter) said: Wesseling: "Trade for Stevie Johnson, who I've heard is on the market." Rosenthal: "Where have you heard this, just floating around?" Wesseling: "Whispers... around the league." [ just after the 26-minute mark of the podcast ]
  21. 5. Want to hear about his relationship with FJ.
