The only Canadian football I ever watched was like 10 years ago I went to Niagara falls and at a bar they had a game on. The only thing I remember was a players fight and one player ripped another's helmet off and threw it as hard as he could behind him. The problem was right behind him was a Ref and it hit him straight in the face. That was my Canadian football memory.
Doesn't matter... Like I said the problem was it was said on air. I have heard worse jokes and have seen people laugh at worse when they were in an environment of knowing that people don't really mean it. This is one of those cases where the joke didn't match the listeners and other media will jump in to get their own ratings.
The jokes should have never of been said on air. That is the problem with it. Jokes like this are better kept with friends or people that know you are joking. In lines of saying it on air it shouldn't have been b.c of the ramifications that are now happening.
Can I get a quote or a link o on what his weight is supposed to be? All that picture shows is a man sweaty from keeping up with the pace of practice. He doesn't look like he is falling behind in the pace of practice. Looks to me like he is working hard.
Yea, think about it. Media attention is all about getting people to notice or talk about you. If they can survive this they will be widely popular (good/bad). I didn't even know who these guys were till you talked about them.
1. Where would he have gone? He went from being under a HC to now running the whole defense that doesn't seem lateral.
2. Who would we have grabbed?
3. Rex is saying anything b.c his job is on the line this year.
A joke is always funny till someone gets offended. Oh well what you gonna do. I didn't hear it so I have no idea but I don't like when jokes become serious b.c some people can't handle it. Not saying that is the case here just with other situations.
Very simple and reversible thing to do. This is a safe and easy process, I know a couple of guys who got it and it was scary just b.c you don't want anything to happen to your boys. After a few days you will be back to normal.
