  1. If he's more consistent and cuts down on the mistakes, I think he could be. Davis is more talented, but it seems like an unusually high percentage of bad plays happen on passes in his direction, including two more last night. Maybe it's not all his fault, but at the same time, it's not working.
  2. Shakir Allen Kincaid Harty Sherfield Knox The entire defense
  3. I think that 2nd one was very likely going to be intercepted even if Davis hadn't tripped over himself. I also don't care. It was 4th down. The interception was better than an incompletion or a sack.
  4. Yes, and as I replied to you in the game thread, at some point, you have to consider that maybe it's not just a coincidence. And I also agree that the offense looked better when he was out. Davis may have more talent than Sherfield and Shakir, but those guys are more reliable and consistent. I've been pretty negative on Sherfield, but after this game, maybe he needs more of a chance.
  5. I completely agree with that. He's actually throwing the ball really well tonight.
  6. It happened when John Brown, Cole Beasley and Emmanuel Sanders turned into Gabe Davis, Trent Sherfield and Dionte Harty.
  7. I'm sure they will.
  8. Well, that makes it plain enough, doesn't it? Watching it live, I was surprised Johnson's momentum didn't carry him into the endzone. Credit to the defender for a great tackle.
  9. When a disproportionate number of bad plays are happening on throws to one guy, at some point, it's not a coincidence.
  10. No, I wouldn't, unless it were to clearly benefit him and the team for the playoffs. If his injury isn't going to be worsened by playing, or be significantly improved over a week of rest, then let him play. Division title aside, the passing game has been off and they need the reps.
  11. I'd be trying to find a way out of his contract and also that of Tre White during this off-season.
  12. Maybe, but he hasn't shown nearly enough yet for me to be comfortable handing him the job, and Harty and Sherfield shouldn't be on the roster next year. All else being equal, I would definitely be taking a WR in R1 and probably another one in the mid rounds.
  13. Kincaid was wide open when Allen threw it. He had two or three steps on the defender. If Allen had placed it five yards further downfield, it might have been a TD.
  14. I don't know, but about half of them have been on those damned screen passes.
  15. If I had a vote, it would be for Baker Mayfield. He was basically discarded as trash by the Browns and two years later has re-emerged as one of the best QBs in the NFC.
  16. As I've been saying for the last few years...just because the Bills are primarily built as a passing team and that the rules favor the passing game, that doesn't mean that a good running game isn't valuable and worth investing in.
  17. James Cook and the OL deserve the most credit, but I'd just give it to the entire team, including the coaching staff. They pretty much destroyed the Cowboys in every aspect of the game.
  18. Accounting for pass attempts, sacks and running plays, if you're going to put the ball in the QB's hands around 750 times per season, you're going to have to put up with some turnovers. I do think Allen's fumbles are an issue, but the career average of 1 INT per 40+ pass attempts is definitely manageable as long as he's putting points on the board. Matt Stafford led the league in INTs in 2021...the year they won the Super Bowl. Even this season it's been manageable and the biggest issue usually hasn't been the two or three extra INTs he's thrown over the course of the season, but that the offense was stalling out far too often in the final weeks with Ken Dorsey at OC. That's not to say there's no room for improvement and that he shouldn't work to eliminate as many INTs as he can, but it's not the end of the world.
  19. I definitely think they're good enough to do it, but I have considerably less confidence that they actually will.
  20. The Jaguars and Dolphins were in a much better position to cover the middle on those two plays. If Davis just runs straight upfield against the Eagles, he's going to run right past the defender and there's no one else back there. Yes, he still gets open to the outside corner, but it's a much more difficult throw for Allen, especially with the Eagles blitzing, and it puts the CB between them. Watching that, and knowing it's an option route, I strongly suspect that's a mistake by Davis.
  21. He should have had six TDs in that game, at least. Cook dropped one early and then there's Davis running the wrong route at the end.
  22. He's right. If you're asking the QB to throw and run the ball 50+ times a game, you're going to have to deal with some turnovers.
  23. A 95% FG conversion rate would be right in line with the best three to five kickers in the league each year. For that to be the total against the Bills this far into the season is very likely a statistical abberation. It doesn't necessarily say anything about Bass, though again, this hasn't been his best year.
  24. He's had some frustrating drops lately, but he's also played well enough as a whole that I don't think there's any real issue. It just seems like there's a collective case of bad luck going around this team this year.
  25. The year-to-year league average is usually in the mid 80% range, so that 19/20 stat would seem to be a statistical outlier.
