  1. That's the one thing that bugs me about the pick. Then again, maybe the Bills felt that he was a good enough prospect that they didn't want to take a chance that he might sneak through another round or two?
  2. I'm pretty sure that I've read that the Bills brought him in for a visit a couple of weeks ago, so they probably know what they're doing with this pick. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.
  3. I have a feeling the Bungles will make sure one of them isn't available right here. But yeah, either one would seem to be a good pick for the Bills at 122.
  4. I think Donahoe will probably pick an OL here in R4 just to prevent a total mutiny amongst the fanbase.
  5. Draft a kicker sometime today! If there's one thing that practically all Bills fans would like to see, it would be for the Bills to replace Lindell. This is a good draft for kickers, with, IMO, two very good prospects likely to fall into the last two rounds (Nichols and Jones). With any luck, the Bills will pick one of them and we'll have a kicker that might be a threat to kick a 40+ yard field goal.
  6. I believe Nick Collins has already been selected.
  7. And unfortunately, it IS the truth and has been the truth about the Bills since the mid 1990s. I'm not going to sit here and knock the players that they drafted. I think they drafted a couple of good ones, but this OL looks like a train wreck waiting to happen to me. There are still some decent prospects likely to be available in R4, but I have exactly zero faith in Donahoe to select one. One thing is for sure, the Bills haven't found jack squat on day 2 for the OL since friggin' 1987 with Howard Ballard. The next best? Your choice of either Corbin Lacina or Dusty Zeigler. Given that fact, it amazes me that some Bills fans still believe the myth that good OL are a dime a dozen in the late rounds. This team has proven the opposite, if anything, and have blown about a dozen more day 2 draft picks on OL flops. Sigh... forgive my whining, its just frustrating to know that there's a very good chance that we'll all be sitting here again next year hoping that they draft a quality OL prospect in '06.
  8. I am almost always negative on draft day, last year being an exception. I don't really know why this is the case, either, but today has been no different. Still, as a few days pass, my opinion usually changes and I can see the same thing happening with this draft already. My complaints are more about the overall strategy. I like the players they've added.
  9. I agree completely. I am not a big fan of Tom Donahoe's overall draft strategy today, but I like the players he has picked. Parrish is going to be a major weapon on special teams and should develop into an excellent third WR as well. The only negative with that pick is that at his size, he'll probably never be anything more than a 3rd WR. That's fine by me, though. Not many nickel corners are going to be able to cover him. I think he can contribute immediately in both respects. The pick of Everett is the one that I really like. He's got all the talent to be an excellent recieving TE in the NFL. He just needs experience and that will come with time. If Campbell and Euhus have any setbacks in their recovery from injury, Everett might see considerable game time this year. At any rate, I think this is potentially a very, very good pick by Donahoe.
  10. A good OL coach helps, but McNally is not a miracle worker. A quick look at his 2003 NY Giants OL is a testament to that. He needs talent to work with and I'm not too sure there's an abundance of it on the Bills current OL.
  11. That's certainly possible, but I've heard it before and with this team, it can usually be described as famous last words.
  12. Unfortunately, I can't help but feel that is right. I like the two picks themselves, but in the context of the team's needs, particularly the OL, I have at least some reservations about this draft to this point. I can't help but feel that this OL is really going to come back to bite us this season. Then again, maybe the Bills felt this OL draft class really sucked, but I still think its going to be painful to watch unless Donahoe can either hit a home run with a day 2 pick or find another decent FA.
  13. Its another pick that I like well enough. Everett is a bit of a developmental prospect, but he's got a lot of talent. I think we're seeing a result of the prevailing opinion that this is not a good draft. The Bills certainly are not drafting for major needs and apparently feel they had no chance to get immediate starters with those picks. They're drafting athletes to create matchup problems and who they can develop for a year or two down the road. Is it a good strategy? We'll see.
  14. 8-8? A bit optimistic, aren't we? Although I like the Parrish pick, I fully realize that if Donahoe doesn't perform a minor miracle here in R3-7 on the OL, we're looking at 4-5 wins this year. A first year starter at QB playing behind a bad OL is a recipe for disaster.
  15. Its a matchup pick and I think they tore a page out of the NE playbook here, drafting a guy with similar measurables to Deion Branch. Most third CBs do not have the speed or agility to keep pace with a guy like Parrish. He's sort of like Az Hakim was for the Rams back when they went to the Super Bowl. Its tough to double the outside WRs when you can't cover a dangerous slot reciever who can take a 5 yard pass the distance. He's also a dangerous return man, so on kickoffs, the opposing team gets to pick its poison: McGee or Parrish. Not a fun prospect. Sure, its an unconventional pick, but I like it well enough.
  16. They'll go until the 3rd round ends, regardless of the time.
  17. If you are basically going to call someone an idiot, you can expect the reaction that you got.
  18. I don't think there's going to be one. Once Khalif Barnes goes, it may be quite a while until the 4th OT goes off the board.
  19. What, are you a professional scout or something? Lose the attitude. You're nothing but a fan sitting behind a computer, just as I am, and your opinions hold no more validity than anyone else's.
  20. I think Campbell will prove to be the best QB taken from this draft class a few years down the road.
  21. He's probably thinking 'What do you think the wait is like, you moron? I've lost $25 million in the last two and a half hours.'
  22. He's big, but he's got average speed and has been out of football for a year. He may turn out to be a great pro, but it would not suprise me if he has to wait quite a while before hearing his name called today.
  23. Unfortunately for him, I think Aaron Rodgers will probably end up being picked by Arizona now with the RBs gone.
  24. The Cards blew it. Henry is better than the 2nd tier and his price tag went up the second Williams went off the board to the Bucs.
  25. Don't worry. The Vikes pick soon and those morons are known for passing on first round picks and allowing teams to rapidly jump ahead of them.
