I've just visited...but I was very happy with the town. Fezmid, on the other hand, was not a satisfied customer. I'm a bigger supporter of my hometown, Cleveland.

Oh, man, how could I forget that Harley-Davidson is headquartered in Milwaukee? The Harley-Davidson museum opens next year in their hometown. Yet another reason to love Wisconsin's largest city.

Milwaukee may well be America's most underrated city. I love that town. I wish I could get back up there for some games at Miller Park. I haven't seen that stadium yet, but I saw a game at the old one, right after Miller Park started going up. Beautiful lakefront, very nice downtown, terrific summer wearther, easy to get around (great freeway system), low cost of living, beer and brats out the wazoo, and the tailgating at Brewers games. And the Packers are only 2 1/2 hours away. But, dev/null didn't mention Happy Days.

Apparently, this really happened. I found it on an ESPN blog. During last week's SNL dress rehearsal (where Lorne Michaels decides what sketches and jokes to keep, and which to dump), Peyton Manning rehearsed his monologue. Amy Poehler was dressed in a Patriots jersey and heckled Peyton, saying "What does Tom Brady and the Circus have in common? They both have two more rings than you." Peyton stared right back and said, "That's not the ONLY thing he'll have two more of."

The Buffalo Sabres! No linky, but the Sabes are #1 in the Sportsnation poll for the first time. It is in this week's issue of ESPN Magazine. I don't know if this was posted here earlier, since I was out of town this week, but I thought I'd let you all know. "It's all good in the Land of Wings: Season ticket sales have rocketed from 5,800 to 14,815 since the 2002-03 season, while local TV ratings have tripled. In February the seven best-selling jerseys at NHL.com belonged to Sidney Crosby and six Sabres, part of a jump of more than 1,000% in sales of Sabres swag over the past year. The team is now worth $149 million, and after losing $46 million over the first half of the decade, it turned close to a $4.6 million profit in 2005-06, according to Forbes." Nothing about Sluggalo, though.

What else could make this night better? "The Fish That Saved Pittsburgh", probably the best bad sports movie ever made, was on TV One tonight (an African-American themed network, for those who may not know, similar to BET). I hadn't seen this movie since about 1985 and I had forgotten how deliciously cheesy it is, watching Dr. J try to act and play off Jonathan Winters, who played two parts in the film. I did tape it, since I was unable to watch the whole thing. Getting back to the Final Four: as of right now, it looks like the Buckeyes opponent will be Florida. Hopefully revenge will be very sweet come about midnight on Monday.

Surprised no one listed this awful little ditty from 1972: On the first part of the journey I was looking at all the life There were plants and birds and rocks and things There was sand and hills and rings The first thing I met was a fly with a buzz And the sky with no clouds The heat was hot and the ground was dry But the air was full of sound I've been through the desert on a horse with no name It felt good to be out of the rain In the desert you can remember your name 'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain La, la ... After two days in the desert sun My skin began to turn red After three days in the desert fun I was looking at a river bed And the story it told of a river that flowed Made me sad to think it was dead You see I've been through the desert on a horse with no name It felt good to be out of the rain In the desert you can remember your name 'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain La, la ... After nine days I let the horse run free 'Cause the desert had turned to sea There were plants and birds and rocks and things there was sand and hills and rings The ocean is a desert with it's life underground And a perfect disguise above Under the cities lies a heart made of ground But the humans will give no love You see I've been through the desert on a horse with no name It felt good to be out of the rain In the desert you can remember your name 'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain La, la ...

Harvard club promotes abstinence

Touche, Tom. -
I especially like the coed who states that purity is somehow a relic and that she was offended. What a society we live in when people who declare chastity are made fun of.

Now Glad We Dodged this Bullet....

Your statement is true of every online bulletin board. Whitner played well and did NOTHING to embarrass himself last season. -
That's embarrassing, but very funny. I think I went to high school with some girls like that.

Tubby Smith goes to University of Minn.
buckeyemike replied to Stl Bills's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I for one applaud Tubby. I think that there was a group of boosters that had it in for the coach...because he wasn't Rick Pitino. An argument can and has been made that many of the boosters would never get behind a black basketball coach, and it could be true, but I don't think it's the biggest reason. Tubby wasn't flashy, gave his so-so son a lot of minutes, and simply didn't win enough to satisfy the money people at UK, who think they should go to the Final Four every year. Go to Minneapolis, Tubby, and rebuild the Gophers into a power. You'll live longer up there. -
Wait, those pics have been here before. And if she's French, does that mean she doesn't shave her legs?

If it ain't her, she's right up there. Good choice.

Husband rips wife's eyes out after she refuses sex

He's Muslim. Big surprise there. -
For me it's a dead heat between Wikipedia and YouTube. Yes, much of what you find on Wikipedia is crap, but it's fascinating. I wouldn't use it for research, though. YouTube has proven Andy Warhol prophetic in that everyone will be famous for 15 minutes.

Saudi Woman gang raped by 7 men...
buckeyemike replied to Tux of Borg's topic in Off the Wall Archives
The wrong person is getting 90 lashes here, obviously. And then, the men should be gang-raped. See how they feel afterwards. 90 lashes perhaps? -
And we are surprised by this why?
