  1. Addai almost broke that one...26 yards.
  2. Man, I really like the Colts ball control right now.
  3. Downed inside the five. Hey look, there's Greggo!
  4. Oh, man, Colston just dropped that one!
  5. OK, the Snickers commercial made me laugh. That's about it so far. The Boost Shuffle Bears thing was just stupid, I thought. And of course, the whole Tebow thing got overblown. As usual, much ado about nothing.
  6. The Colts have already run over seven minutes off the clock on their opening drive. Matt Stover's the oldest player ever in a Super Bowl. Something's wrong with that.
  7. The Saints are hitting hard. I wonder how much difference that's going to make.
  8. The "Who Dats" are clearly out in the crowd.
  9. Three and out for the Saints. What a hit on the punt return, or lack thereof! Great coverage!
  10. Alright, the Saints won the toss. And away we go!!!!
  11. CSI Moose Jaw. Good one. Good to have you back, Ralonzo.
  12. I liked Carrie Underwood's rendition of the National Anthem. Of course, wearing a skintight white jumpsuit doesn't hurt.
  13. Wait, Queen Latifah sings?
  14. Sounds like a pro-Saints crowd to me. "Sirius" by the Alan Parsons Project??? Either the guy who used to do the Chicago Bulls' pregame intros picked the music, or it's time to find somebody younger. Of course, that's followed by "Won't Get Fooled Again" for the Colts.
  15. I don't know what it is about CBS Sports, but I have never liked their NFL coverage. Well, since the days of Brent Musberger, Irv Cross, Phyllis George, and Jimmy the Greek on the old NFL Today show. I'm not a fan of Jim Nantz. I always think of the Masters when I hear him. Simms is very good (better than Troy Aikman, but still a distant second to Cris Collinsworth). Can't stand the pregame show, though. Thoughts?
  16. Haven't been on for a while, but those pics of Liz Phair almost made me faint! Looked to me like Liz forgot her jeans in the second set of those shots.
  17. ME! I'm rooting for New Orleans, but I'm not betting against Peyton Manning. Colts by 7, 34-27. I see Freeney is stretching now...
  18. Favre, in his continuing aim to get back at the Green Bay Packers and especially Ted Thompson, had karma strike again. Remember what I said earlier this year: you can always count on the Minnesota Vikings to screw up somewhere along the way. They do have that history. Now we have the Colts vs. the Saints. Peyton Manning vs. his hometown team/team his dad played for. I figure the Colts win rather easily, but I figure that would be true of the Vikings as well. Indianapolis is the best team in the league this year...better than New Orleans. The Saints can win, but they have to play better than they did tonight. Opening line is Indy by 4.
  19. Rome is a terrific interviewer. And I've noticed as he gets older, he does less of the schtick. He's 45 now, so I think his show has actually matured quite a bit. Cowturd is accurate most of the time, but that ego couldn't be any bigger. Annoying voice, personality, etc.
  20. Airplane. I don't know how many times I've seen it over the years, and I always know what's coming, but it still makes me laugh as hard as the first time I saw it. I don't really like Planes, Trains, and Automobiles for some reason, but it's one of my wife's favorite movies.
  21. Honestly, I've never smoked pot. Didn't even have a drink until I was in 22 and in law school. I had a perfect off-color joke here, but I'm not gonna post it. Don't want it coming back to haunt me.
  22. Dang it, that's supposed to say petitions. It's fixed now. It's Saturday night, obviously.
  23. Quite a bit, actually. He kind of reminds me of Vincent Price now. He lost a ton of weight about the same time as his last facelift.
  24. Just saw this went on the wrong board. This was supposed to go off topic. Mods, feel free to move. Sorry. After 7+ years here, I really should know better.
  25. Today I took out petitions to run as a Republican in a judicial primary in Cuyahoga County, Ohio (Cleveland). I think I told everyone here a while back that I was thinking of doing this. Well, after 15 years of practicing law, I think the time has finally arrived. If for nothing else, to get my name out there. For reference point's sake, I will turn 41 in June. We in the Cleveland area are really in need of honest, hardworking people in power (if you want, google the phrase "Cuyahoga County scandal" and see what pops up). And I believe that I would do an excellent job as a Common Pleas Court judge. I have practiced in courts all over Ohio, in criminal and administrative matters. I am running as a Republican in a Democratic-dominated county. Yet, the timing may never be better. People here may finally be ready for new names in new places. New names with integrity. Or to throw the old names out. So, I wanted to share that here tonight. I know I've been on here sparingly in recent weeks, but I thought you should know this. It's a new chapter, as I have never run for anything except eighth-grade class vice president before. And I lost that race But that was way back in 1982. Thanks for letting me share this. Mike
