Between chicken wings, beef on weck, sponge candy, frozen custard and loganberry juice, I wholeheartedly agree! -
Congratulations to the Tampa Bay Rays

'V' invades prime time TV again!
buckeyemike replied to Tux of Borg's topic in Off the Wall Archives
You are correct, sir! V is where Robert Englund really got his start. Jane Badler's (Diana) MySpace page. She looks great. Hard to believe she's almost 55. -

I sailed away to China In a little row boat to find ya And you said you had to get your laundry clean. Didn't want no one to hold you What does that mean? -
In his "Outtakes" section, Kenny Mayne interviews the Bills' QB: Edwards says he's "starting to get into the band Journey a bit." (Steve Perry) was "a solid, solid singer. When we played the Raiders, "Don't Stop Believin'" came on right after Johnnie Lee Higgins put them up nine with 6 1/2 minutes left. The song called me. I don't know if we could have won without Journey in the background." Sorry, but I have to at that one. Later in the article, Trent shows us his knowledge of restaurants and a sense of humor: Kenny: I did a story once with Marshawn to show how much fun Buffalo can be. Does he still party at Dave & Buster's a lot? Trent: He's moved on to Applebee's. But there's also a T.G.I. Friday's, Red Lobster, Long John Silver's, Ruby Tuesday, and we got a Cheesecake Factory, which is huge. (Note: I've been to Cheesecake Factory. Except for the cheesecake, which is good, the place is wildly overrated.) Kenny: You're not married, but do you have a girlfriend? Trent: No, I'm single. Kenny: Do you just go to Dave & Buster's and wait for it to happen? Trent: Yeah, I play Golden Tee in the corner and hope a striking blond will be impressed and come over. Then I can buy her a Diet Coke at the bar. Kenny: You know, because I'm a native, I raised Seattle's 12th Man flag the other week. Trent: They must be running low on people to do that.

Me too. I can't stand either the Yankees or the Red Sox. And it's well-known here that I'm a Tribe fan.

This is great! The best news I've had today so far. -
Or Bills-Indians. Or Browns-Indians, for that matter.

Executed this morning, unrepentant to the end.

From Spaceballs, after they get the combination for the Air Shield (and after Dark Helmet says, "What kind of a stupid combination is that? It's what an idiot would have on his luggage!") President Skroob: Great. Now we can take every last breath of fresh air from planet Druidia. What's the combination? Dark Helmet: 1 2 3 4 5. President Skroob: 1 2 3 4 5? That's amazing! I've got the same combination on my luggage! Prepare Spaceball 1 for immediate departure! Dark Helmet: Yes, sir! President Skroob: And change the combination on my luggage!

Jason Peters vs. someone like...
buckeyemike replied to Lv-Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yep. Consistent with a #3 overall draft pick. And imagine, I wanted the Browns to take Brady Quinn in that spot. I thought until last night, Thomas had a bit of a sophomore slump. Not anymore. Thomas is the type of player who can and will go to multiple Pro Bowls, barring injury. The Browns are hoping he's the next Anthony Munoz. -
A palpable sense of doom here tonight...
buckeyemike replied to buckeyemike's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wow. Just ...wow. I didn't think the Browns had a prayer, and they go out and do THAT. Rubes, you said that you love reading threads like this after the fact. Me too. I don't mind it, because 12 hours ago, I was expecting a slaughter. I got one. Only not the one I expected. This is why I don't bet on football games. Any given Sunday (or Monday night), right? Believe it or not, this is the Browns' first Monday night win in 15 years. I'm largely speechless right now. -

Ouch. OK, I guess I deserve that. -
Today was a very nice day weather-wise...it's still in the 70s outside with a beautiful sunset. That said, there doesn't seem to be much hope here in C-town tonight. The Giants are here, and still feel like they have something to prove. The Browns? Well, when you're Soulja tight end could have a serious problem down low, your QB has been flat out awful, your RB has been fighting injuries, your OL suddenly forgot how to block and your superstar WR has a bad case of the dropsies, a Monday night exposure at home on national TV couldn't have come at a worse time. Cleveland can pull it all together tonight. But the chances of that are slim...and Slim's getting out of town for this one. Giants, 35-10.

This is honestly the first I've heard of this. But it's gotta be true, because you can't just make that up.

Who does the better Sarah Palin impression?
buckeyemike replied to buckeyemike's topic in Off the Wall Archives
...and that's the point. Tina's imitation is much better. I just wanted to point out that Gina's in a bikini in her version of Sarah Palin. Other than that, it's not an imitation. -
This has been a big story here. Apparently, he hasn't always been this big. Cooey is 5'7" (one inch shorter than I am) and 267 pounds (approx. 50 lbs. heavier than me). I've given blood as a fat man; there should be no question that they could find a vein to stick in the needle. But I voted to put the fat@$$ on a diet, for purposes of slimming him down. He's going to be executed soon anyway, so what difference does it make?
-
Who did it first, The Daily Show or Bill Murray on SNL earlier this week?
-
Is it Tina Fey? Or is it Gina Gershon? Gershon is 46, two years old than Sarah Palin.

Even Britney in all her stoned-out glory would know better than that. -
I don't think any of the Five Guys stores serve alcohol. The local one here only has Coca-Cola products and iced tea. I wholeheartedly agree with you on Steak and Shake, as far as the shakes are concerned. I stop just for a chocolate shake. The burgers are good, but they're a C+ compared to Five Guys. Maybe a half-step above Wendy's. Have you ever been to the Double Play in San Francisco? It's at 16th and Bryant, Mission District (across from where Seals Stadium used to be). My uncle took us years ago. Great food there.
