  1. He actually came on early...had some good things to say about the team, but the host got one of his records (the one for tackles) wrong and London sounded irritated the rest of the way. It was pretty funny. The host blamed the Bills' media guide. Mike
  2. They're playing the Browns. Hardly an NFL game. Mike
  3. I like NL Christmas Vacation (strangely, it's one of my mother's favorite films, along with Christmas Story) and Elf. Mike
  4. He will be interviewed on WKNR radio (850 AM) at 3:30 this afternoon. I don't know if it will be up on the website at Sportstalk Cleveland. Since London's from Cleveland, this will be an interesting perspective. Mike
  5. I've heard of it, but I don't think I've ever seen Emmet Otter's Jug Band Christmas. Did it run on HBO in the '80s? Mike
  6. Robiske will not announce his starter until later in the week. My guess is Luke McCown will start again. Mike
  7. Today I have only found this link from the Browns' website. Bills at a Glance It's not much, but it's something. More will certainly follow... Mike
  8. I thought Bernie Kosar would win multiple Super Bowls with the Browns. I thought that the new Browns would be good by now. Mike
  9. It's interesting...I haven't seen the Grinch on yet this year. The cartoon version, not the awful Jim Carrey movie. That's been on a couple of times. There are some things that shouldn't be messed with, and this is one of them. Mike
  10. Buffalo 32, my formerly beloved Browns 14. Mike
  11. Wow...I'm still 3,000 posts behind you! Congrats, Bill. Mike
  12. Great avatar, Gavin! I remember when Christmas Story was filmed here in Cleveland in 1983...the scene at the department store is the old Higbee's on Public Square (now vacant). The scene was filmed in April, and they had to truck snow in. Mike
  13. Of course TSO counts. It's the holidays. Mike
  14. Remember when IAWL used to be on 300 times every holiday season? About a dozen years ago, NBC bought the rights, cleaned up the original prints and shows it about three times a year. Over Thanksgiving weekend, I had a chance to see "It's A Wonderful Life" on the big screen at a local cinema, where admission was one dollar or two canned food items. I never thought I'd get a chance to see it in a movie theater. Mike
  15. That is the lovely and talented Kimberly's (my wife's) favorite. I wish I could find it for her on DVD, but so far I've been unsuccessful. Mike
  16. and Santa Claus is Comin' to Town and The Year Without a Santa Claus (both of which, ironically, have Mickey Rooney as the voice of Kris Kringle). ABC Family had them back to back this past Saturday. And there's always, always Rudolph. When you see Rankin/Bass holiday specials, you know it's Christmas. Mike
  17. Accurate, even though I don't really like "The Shield". But I like Denis Leary, and I think "Rescue Me" is perfect for his personality and sense of humor. Mike
  18. Uh, dude, I just watched the video at BFS website. I think ICE is correct...I'm pretty sure that's Tawny Kitaen. And that's probably the last time you'll ever see me say "ICE is correct". Mike
  19. Hmmm...I went to Mount Vernon Nazarene. You guys play us in basketball at least twice a season. Mike
  20. That, and the fact that most of the Browns Stadium parking lots are separated by both a freeway and a set of railroad tracks. People have actually been killed by both cars and trains trying to get to and from the stadium. Most of these people were heavily intoxicated at the time. Mike
  21. OK, it's time for a response from a 30-year Ohioan: 1) You may very well be right about Ohio drivers, but if you live in the part of the state where it gets the most snow (ie, east of Cleveland), they know how to deal with it and it gets much better. 2) I don't think anyone from WNY has any right to cast aspersions regarding inferiority complexes to anyone else. 3) You're right on the 60/30 alternation during the winter, but the NASCAR smack rings a bit hollow to us in the NE part of the state. The farther south you go, the more that might be true, but I maintain that the nicest and best people in Ohio can be found anywhere south of Canton. 4) I have always doubted whether a terrorist could even find Ohio on a map, much less try to blow it up. And if you hate it here, you could always go back to the high taxes, corrupt governments, and even worse weather in WNY. Mike
  22. 1) Bad team 2) Overpriced PSL's in a brand-new cookie cutter stadium that could just as easily be in Charlotte or Tampa. 3) Real morons in the local media who tried to get Bill Belichick fired (and succeeded, after the Browns left) years ago. 4) No open containers in the parking lots during tailgating. 5) No stars to speak of on this squad. 6) A former coach, referred to by many as a "hillbilly" who tanked the team and took $12 million as a parting gift. 7) Did I mention a bad team? Mike
  23. I have a jury trial scheduled for a client on the 15th. He's a kid who's facing ten years in prison for having over 100 grams of crack cocaine. I'm already preparing for it. The main hope here in Cleveland is that the Bills are looking past the Browns, because they have the Bengals the following week. I haven't heard much here regarding the Bills to this point, but it's only Monday morning. That will come. BTW, how many tickets left for Sunday's game? Mike
