  1. This whole Retatta thing just gets funnier and funnier. Mike
  2. 8. Don't bring up the words "swapping" or "threesome". Mike
  3. MM certainly seems like a bright guy. However, the coach can only work with the players that he has on the field. The trick is to get the whole to be more than the sum of the parts. MM has good assistants (esp. Gray and Krumrie, so I agree with Bill from NYC), but he is the man in charge. I never got that feeling with GW...maybe it helps that MM played quite a few years and can relate to both the players and coaches better. I really believe that GW was TD's last available choice in 2001, and that's a big reason why it never worked out (TD really wanted Marvin Lewis, who in retrospect, is not as good a game-day coach as MM is already). This bunch is not going to the Super Bowl this year, but I think they are a playoff team now, and will compete for bigger and better things in the years to come. Mike
  4. I think it's time to switch to decaf. Mike
  5. One word: masturbation. Mike
  6. I was watching Rachael Ray on the Food Network tonight and wondering what she could do with Retatta... Methinks you won't see her cook this, or see Retatta on the menu at Ilio Dipaolo's, anytime soon. Mike
  7. It's nice to know that there is a bit more levity than I thought on this board. Mike
  8. Not at all, VA Bills. I'm just stating that not everything people complain about is correct. People should form coherent arguments, not simply spout off for the sake of doing so. I know that's a LOT to ask, and I don't think I'm going to see it. And no team wins every Super Bowl, despite what Patriot fans are starting to think... Mike
  9. Yeah, I'm tired of them too. ESPN = RJ Mike
  10. If all of these things don't happen, I guess we're DOOMED! Mike
  11. LMAO...forgot to note the special teams and all the turnovers they caused, plus the 12 touchdowns Clements and McGee each scored on returns. Mike
  12. The Bills steamroll through the preseason and go 16-0 in the regular season. McGahee runs for 3,000 yards and 25 touchdowns and isn't even touched in several games. Zero Fumbles. Losman runs for 1,000 yards scrambling, 4,500 yards passing, 35 TD's and 0 INTs. No penalties all year, no turnovers on offense. Spikes has 250 tackles, 15 sacks, 10 INTs. Fletcher has 300 tackles, 10 sacks, 15 INTs. No injuries to report. The secondary bats down or intercepts every single pass thrown their way. The Bills steamroll through the playoffs and beat the Falcons by six touchdowns in the Super Bowl. ESPN gives us the respect we deserve. Stuart Scott's head blows up, and Stephen A. Smith's new show is cancelled after he develops season-long laryngitis. All fans everywhere hail the 2005 Buffalo Bills as the greatest team ever. With all of the whining I hear on this board, it sounds like there are a number of people here who will accept nothing less than the statistics listed above. This is football. There are always mistakes and mental errors. There are always injuries. Even the 1972 Dolphins had to come back three times in the final minutes in order to win games. There is always luck during a season...good and bad. I say, let's just enjoy the ride. Complain when it's necessary, but otherwise, don't act like we can replace MM or TD. This will be a well prepared football team, but it's not the best team in the division right now. However, I see the Bills building something. Something really, really good for the future. That's my two cents, and now I will step down from the soapbox. Mike
  13. 24. Don't take her to a steakhouse if she's a vegetarian/vegan. Mike
  14. Let's just have fun and see how it all unfolds. We all worry too much. Mike
  15. The article sounds like something from The Onion. It's satire. I hope. Mike
  16. Good point...as a rule (and as a former Browns fan), I refuse to put Denver and/or Pittsburgh in the top 5 in anything. Thanks, eball. Mike
  17. Ice, have you possessed LA's body??? Mike
  18. Ditto. My Top 5 List: 1) Green Bay 2) Cleveland (selling out every game since return despite 30-66 record). 3) Kansas City 4) Buffalo 5) Washington Mike
  19. Ask and ye shall receive. It's all a part of our friendly neighborhood service. Mike
  20. Ugh. Thanks to Aussie and I, the legend of Retatta is reborn. Mike
  21. New York/Penn League -- Class A short-season minor league baseball. The most expensive ticket is around $12.00. They almost always sell out their park. Mike
  22. I read that the Packers game Saturday is sold out...is this true? Mike
  23. My views on garbage plates (I thought) were known previously on this board. Cleansing abilities?? A couple of Exlax or a jar of Metamucil will also do the trick. BTW, I read the first two pages of the old thread. That stuff sounds more awful than the garbage plate, and I NEVER thought that was possible. Mike
  24. 100% correct. The prosecutors needed to be held accountable and they were by the jury. Needless to say, that's always a good indicator on whether or not a case is strong. And this is coming from a lawyer with nearly 11 years of experience. Mike
