  1. At least one good thing happened today with the Browns win. Mike
  2. At least you can provide a little bit of levity, Harriet. Mike
  3. I did not see the game, but I saw some of the lowlights. First, JP was very smart in taking that safety. It looked like the Bucs D was ready to kill him. Where was the run defense today? Did London get hurt? I saw an earlier post that said he missed some time today. Three points. 19 allowed with a vaunted defense. However, there is always at least one game like this per season. Let's hope they got it out of their system early. Really, I think this was a bump in the road. A huge bump, maybe, but these guys are pros and they will be ready for Ron Mexico and the Falcons next week. I fully expect Takeo to break Ron Mexico in two. Mike
  4. Approximately 1.5 million Browns fans feel the same way. Now I'm waiting for the 41-14 loss to Favre and the Pack this afternoon. Mike
  5. We have Tops here in Cleveland, but no Wegman's. Should be the other way around. Mike
  6. Not to mention Chillicothe, Ohio, Kokomo, Indiana, Scranton-Wilkes Barre, Columbia, South Carolina and Olympia, Washington. Mike
  7. If your two year old starts to play hockey, we might have another Gretzky on our hands. (Seriously, I know that's a backhanded response at an earlier thread. Still, it's pretty funny.) Mike
  8. TKO and London > Bennett and Talley. If not now, later. Mike
  9. They could go down as the best 1-2 LB combo in the history of the Bills. Yes, better than Conlan and Biscuit. Mike
  10. I think you need to reserve that domain, taterhill. Mike
  11. Even if Madden's mancans are bigger? Mike
  12. I'm so sorry to hear that. Our cat Doggie (see pic) has been sick recently, but is feeling better. He will be 17 in November. He wasn't supposed to live out the week when my wife got him...in 1989. He had dystemper before my wife got him and survived cancer 2 1/2 years ago. Mike
  13. People on this board NEVER cease to amaze me... that is just too friggin' funny. Mike
  14. I wouldn't because I'm married, but other than that, you're 100% correct. Mike
  15. I tried to find loganberry at the McKinley Wegman's on Tuesday and was told they no longer carry it. I had never had loganberry before and wanted to try it. Bastards. Mike
  16. Fifteen years ago, I absolutely HATED Sam Wyche, because he was the Bengals coach and I was still a fan of my formerly beloved Browns. At one point, Wyche came to Cleveland to raise money for a charity, and volunteered to be put in a dunking booth. If I didn't have to work at a job I had to have at the time, I would have been down there, spending my savings on baseballs to throw. And now I like what he's doing in Buffalo. Life is pretty strange sometimes. Go figure. Mike
  17. I certainly don't think this is an easy game. However, the Bucs offense is not exactly the St. Louis Rams of a few years ago. I don't think people expect Tampa Bay to go to the Super Bowl with Brian Griese as their QB. Cadillac is a stud, yes, but he's a rookie. Give him some time to develop as a pro. The Bills D will be terrific and the Bucs defense will be very good as well. This is not a blowout, but I see the Bills pulling out a close one, 14-12. Mike
  18. The only pizza I've had in WNY was at Ilio DiPaolo's earlier this week. If you are there...try the Blanco Pizza, which is basil, fresh tomatoes and mozarella. No sauce, but then again, it doesn't need it. And the tomato/mozarella salad is awesome. I was talking to the waitress when I was there on Tuesday. She said she drops off dinner from Ilio's for the Bills coaches a couple of times a week. I wanted to go with her, but she declined...no passengers, I guess. My wife and I loved that place...terrific Italian food. Mike
  19. I would prefer the charging buffalo with the throwback unis, but the grazing buffalo is a decent match. Mike
  20. But only use them with the 1965 uniforms. They work well together. I've referred to them as "the grazing buffalo" and I've always thought the bison in the logo was ready to, ahem, defecate. Is it possible the Bills could use the old uniforms and helmets at their home games (perhaps starting next year) and keep the road uniforms with the current helmets at away games? I don't know of any NFL restrictions on using two different helmets, for home and away. Nate Clements likes the old school unis, and I'm not gonna argue with him. Mike
  21. Bills prevail in a squeaker, 14-12. JP plays just well enough, Willis gets 100+, Takeo and London come up huge, and Lindell doesn't have to kick any field goals, even though he was 5-5 in the Houston game. Mike
  22. Duey, I must disagree with both you and your father-in-law. Namath was not one of the greatest QBs ever, but he made a guarantee and backed it up in possibly the biggest upset of all time. He was the first QB to throw for 4,000 yards in a season (in 1967), but he's also the only HOF QB to have more INT's than touchdown passes. He was simply a good QB, yes, but he didn't make his whole career on Super Bowl III, though at times (and to Jets Fan), it may seem that way. Mike
  23. London Fletcher is my favorite player, but Takeo is the guy I'd want backing me up in a street fight. He's not the greatest Bill LB ever, but ask me again at the end of the 2007 season. London gets tackles, but Takeo is a warrior, after all. However, I am surprised that London Fletcher has NEVER been to a Pro Bowl, according to the Bills Media Guide. Mike
  24. Uh, September 11 is our anniversary. But we were married in 1999. Congrats!! GO BILLS!! TROUNCE THE TEXANS!! Mike
