  1. I loved the part in "Remote Control" where the cereal would fall from the ceiling and the contestants had to put the bowls on their heads. The only lasting thing "Remote Control" gave us? Adam Sandler. Mike
  2. I think I was the first to report on it. I saw Narnia the first week it was out. Mike
  3. It's interesting to me how "google" has become a verb. Mike
  4. Yes, and there's always a lingerie drawer involved, it seems. All well and good, but it's mindless drivel. Except the episode with the hot lesbians was pretty funny. Even worse is "My Super Sweet 16". The network broadcast a marathon of that show today. For those who don't know, "16" is a profile of spoiled, sorry rich chicks (one per episode) about to celebrate her 16th birthday, complete with a huge party that costs more than most people's weddings and completely clueless parents who are trying to be their kids' buddies, rather than parents. BTW, I refuse to call the network by its initials anymore. I think they last played a music video sometime in 1996. Mike
  5. "Legends of the Buffalo Bills". I forget who wrote it...it's downstairs and I'm listening to the Motor City Bowl on my new Sirius radio, so I don't feel like going downstairs to check right now. And yes, I was very happy for the Bills on Saturday. Big win for the team, but not for all the Mularkey bashers on this board. And of course, I'm very disappointed in the Browns right now. A side note: I got a surprise gift from my parents. I don't desire to brag about it, since it's expensive. In pig Latin, a and-heldhay amcorder-cay. Mike
  6. Yes, and I think ESPN is making fun of Buffalo and Bills fans. I guess the Bills are just joke material in the hallowed halls of ESPN...and yes, I'm being sarcastic. Mike
  7. For my fourth Christmas on this board, I just have to state the following: I'm still lurking around here, even if I'm focusing more on the Browns right now!!! Happy Holidays to all (yes, including CTM and the guy who eats crayonz). Mike
  8. Great line by Jay Mohr: Considering the Raider fans I saw on TV this past weekend, yep, that's about right. Mike
  9. Hmmm...intriguing choice. What seems to be his problem now in Tennessee? The salary cap? Older team? Mike
  10. Basically, right on 1 and 2. Someone mentioned a while back that it's likely Jim Kelly was hung over that day. No idea about that, but I remember what a wild guy he was 15 years ago. The FG was Norwood's longest attempt that year on grass. If the game's played in New Orleans, or even a turf field, I say he makes it. Mike
  11. The Bills D needs to watch the tape of the Browns-Bengals game a couple of weeks ago. Leigh Bodden basically shut down the little TO wanna-be. Box score from the game (scroll down) -- C. Johnson, 2 receptions, 22 yards. Too bad Bodden isn't big enough to knock Little TO into the next county. Mike
  12. Uh, not true. The Browns beat the Patriots (coached by the subject of this topic at the time), 20-13 in the 1994 AFC Wildcard game at ancient Cleveland Stadium. I know. I was sitting in the Dawg Pound. And I'm pretty sure Adam Vinateri was not the Browns' kicker at the time. It was Matt Stover. Mike
  13. And we're all glad you successfully rode out Katrina a few months back. I like where I live...mostly in the summer. This winter's been a bee-yatch so far. Mike
  14. Huge billboard across from Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland. It's pretty hard to miss...I always see it when driving past Jacobs Field and "The Q". I remember seeing one similar billboard for Barry Sanders in Detroit. After he retired, the billboard was all covered in black with three words: "Gone to Canton". Mike
  15. Mike Leach has done a verrrrrry nice job in Lubbock. The Bills sure could use his offensive savvy...but from what I've read about him, he's basically worshipped in that part of West Texas and it would take a LOT of $$$ to pry him from a perfect situation. Mike
  16. Thanks Chevy. I bought this book a while back...it will make a good gift. Mike
  17. That's just sooooo wrong. And yet, I'm laughing. Mike
  18. The Browns won in Oakland, 9-7, on a last second FG. First win for the Cleveland team in Oakland since 1973. Does this mean the Browns are about thirty points better than the Bills on defense? Oh, well... GO BROWNS!! BEAT THE SQUEALERS!! Mike
  19. Seen it before, my friends. The last couple of years with Butch Davis here in Cleveland. The Browns would always score first, it seemed...and then, either the other team would make adjustments or the Browns never would. Romeo Crennel seems to be a MUCH better game day coach...they took the Bengals to the final play last week. I said Mularkey was a good gameday coach earlier in the season. Boy, was I wrong. Mike
  20. I woke up...missed the TD to make it 14-7 and watched the field goal. Then I had to leave my friend's house (where I was watching the game since my wife had to go to work last night) and missed the third Broncos TD. Watched from home to make it 28-17...and turned it off. That is the last time I am watching that sorry excuse for a team this season. Mularkey seems to suffer from the "Butch Davis" illness...score on the first drive and try to hold the opposition off for the final 55 minutes. Maybe the Browns can beat the Raiders out in Oakland today...the Bills certainly couldn't do it earlier this year. After that, it's "Steeler week" and the Browns close up with the Steelers and Ravens at home. Maybe beating the Steelers will make my Christmas...or ruin it if they lose. First time I can ever remember the Browns having their last two at home. Mike
  21. Nope. Not Haslett. Did the wrong Buffalo football team hire Turner Gill? Mike
  22. Is anyone on the grounds at RWS yet? Are you wearing bright orange? Mike
  23. ...and Turner Gill as HC might be a darn good start. I remember Gill was in the Indians' farm system in the late 80s. That's right, he also played baseball (got as high as AA, I believe). Mike
  24. The dark-haired chick looks like a younger Diane Lane. And we all know Diane Lane's a hottie. Mike
