  1. Or Courtney Brown. I say, take the Combine stats with a grain of salt. The Texans got scared off by 1) What happened with Bush and the house situation and 2) Being afraid they couldn't sign him. Mike Mike
  2. See? There are too many to name in such a short post. Mike
  3. Sabes win in OT, 4-3. Mike
  4. Thanks to this and the Umberger hit, I discovered Youtube.com this week. And I haven't got a damn thing done. Mike
  5. OMG, I forgot about Kit! Short and sweet. Mike
  6. To play right beside Ted Washington, Sr., huh? Mike
  7. The Browns apparently will take either Ngata (if he's there) or Kamerion Wimbley, who might fit better, because Cleveland still needs another linebacker. There have been some rumblings that Ngata will slide down to the Browns. I have no idea why. Good character guy, stud DT in a draft that's thin on that position. If the Bills have Ngata available, they would be wise to take him. Comments? Mike
  8. Napoleon Dynamite has several great scenes: (((SPOILER ALERT))) The cow getting shot as the school bus passes by, and the kids on the bus screaming. The scene with Tricia and Summer walking down the street and Rico giving them a flyer for his herbal breast enhancements. Tricia's reaction to Napoleon's drawing of her. Kip's first scene looking like a rapper. The scene where Pedro's cousins prevent a kid from getting beaten up. And of course, the entire dance sequence in the school auditorium. Mike
  9. Hmmm...I've often thought the same thing. I haven't watched Cold Pizza since they reassigned Thea Andrews. Bring back Thea!!! Mike
  10. Philadelphia. Where the locals think Cheez Wiz on chopped steak is a GOOD idea. Mike
  11. "He can't do that to our pledges. Only we can do that to our pledges." Mike
  12. hehehehehehehehheh Giggity Giggity goo... Mike
  13. There's a source who reported to the Arizona Republic (no linky) that Steve Nash will win the MVP for the second consecutive year. Heard that on the local station this AM. The award won't be announced for about two more weeks. Mike
  14. Winslow reworked his contract and gave the Browns one more year tacked on to the end of the deal. He is expected to play this year...perhaps in October, due to the fact that he had a career-threatening staph infection after the bike accident. Reports are that he and Charlie Frye have become friends, and that KW has been quite humbled by what happened last May. He knows he has to prove himself. As for Braylon, I expect him back about midseason. He suffered the same type of injury KW did...in fact, they have been rehabbing together and challenging each other. It wouldn't surprise me if there's a bet riding on who comes back first. Mike
  15. Uh-huh...the Browns are right where I figured them. 32nd out of 32. Mike
  16. Don't let Kellen Winslow II anywhere near that bike. Mike
  17. Does anyone else find it ironic that the Wing Bowl takes place in the Very Same Arena in which the Flyers play? Mike
  18. Just remember, the APs have to buy gifts for Boss's Day in October. Mike
  19. 1. Okay, but since I have nothing to do with tonight's game and I don't think that Flyers players are reading this board, what I have to say doesn't make any difference. The players have to play, we all know that. 2. I'm not from Buffalo. To quote Forrest Gump, that's all I have to say about that. Mike
  20. We had this discussion last year. Since the Sabres are about to go up 3-0 in their playoff series, I thought I'd bring back this little chestnut that ESPN.com sent a writer to. I think this article just about sums up everything that can be said about that lower-than-homo sapiens species known as the Philly Sports Fan. In one word, ick. Mike
  21. The Wizards are talking about banging LeBron around tonight. Sound familiar, Sabres fans? Mike
  22. Game 2 Preview Hopefully, the Cavaliers will be as successful as the Sabres were last night. We here in Cleveland are very lucky to have a player of LeBron's caliber. Is he the MVP this year? BTW, I have heard that the Cavaliers will offer LeBron a contract extension at the maximum this summer...estimated to be 5 years at approx. $75 million. Downtown's liable to be crowded tonight. The Indians are in town (Bosox tonight!), the Cavaliers are at home, and a film crew is shooting exterior scenes for "Spiderman 3" this week. Mike
  23. uh, did you see the one with the kids from MySpace? Set to the strains of "Greatest Love of All", the old schmaltzy Whitney Houston song? Back before she discovered the joys of Bobby Brown and crack cocaine? It can be found on the same page as Grandma Coldcock...NSFW, by the way. Mike
  24. Let's see...I think I've violated all the rules at one time or another... So, do I get a slap on the wrist from the lunchlady's spatula? Thanks for sharing, that was good. Mike
