  1. Yep, that's the one. It almost makes me long for "Like a Rock" to come back, even though it's not 1988 anymore and Dennis Miller once quipped that those Chevy Truck commercials lasted longer than Bob Seger's career. (I know, I know, he has a new album out. I'm asking for it for Christmas.)
  2. I first heard this joke years ago...told it to my father, and it made him laugh out loud, which is not always easy to do.
  3. Not the answer I was expecting, but very funny.
  4. Well, since no one else is asking, I'll do it: How did Lana like the platform bed?
  5. You would rather SHE hold THEM against you. Way too easy...
  6. Oops, Mr. Longhorn Fan is right.
  7. One of the best on YouTube! Did you check your TCP/IP Sentence? Enable cookies? You want this dog?
  8. I'm not saying I'm a fan of the logo (which I'm not...the original bison-over-swords logo should have been brought back permanently), I'm just saying that if the Sabres win the Cup, no one will care.
  9. What's the record for most consecutive wins in the NHL? I know the Islanders had 15 in a row in the early 80s, but I think someone else might have broken it.
  10. It's funny what winning can do. As recently as a year and a half ago, many on this board were criticizing Lindy Ruff and the Sabres ownership for not improving the team, and some even said they'd never root for the team again, because the Sabres were headed for years in the basement. Boy, how things have changed. Guess the fearless leaders knew what they were doing after all. And it's my view that if the Sabres win it all with Sluggo on their sweaters, no one will hate that logo anymore.
  11. Only the fifth non-TBDBITL member to do so. Chris Fowler said on "The Dan Patrick Show" this afternoon that the school should honor the sousaphone player that gave up the spot. I agree. Give the band member the honor at the Michigan game. BTW, I was looking at the future schedules on the Buckeyes website...a home and home with Army in 2009 and 2010 is intriguing, and Ohio State heads to West Point on September 18, 2010. But, sadly, part of me thinks Army still won't be very competitive by then.
  12. I don't really like our 2007 schedule either: the Bucks play three other Ohio teams, all at home: It's not a difficult schedule, at least until State College, and we miss Iowa. My concern is that the weenies in the media next year will say that the Bucks play a cupcake schedule. Can't say that this year.
  13. 1-1, but the Buckeyes scored more points. da da da da, da da da da GO BUCKS!!
  14. I can name two, and one of them is "Napoleon Dynamite". The other is "Shrek". You can see I'm partial to comedies.
  15. I'm not a fan of either band. I think I'll stick with "Weird Al".
  16. It's amazing to me that Scarface is still popular nearly 25 years after it first came out...popular enough to have a new video game named for it, anyway.
  17. Reason No. 526 on why I hate to fly: The planes now have walkways narrower than a Greyhound bus...or your average subway train. I've always felt like saying MOO!! whenever I board a plane.
  18. Wow...great trailer. Wayne Palmer as President?!?
  19. I think you're going the week after the Michigan game, right? Perfect time to see the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Beware though, I-77 north of Canton has been under construction for about the last five years...but they finally finished the part directly opposite the HOF. About a mile to the south, however, it's still all torn up.
  20. He's right...the Flats are dead. There is a proposal for new housing, shopping, and clubs, but right now it's stalled b/c the property owners don't want to sell.
  21. Weenie.
  22. Biggest hit of Weird Al's career. BTW, my wife got me "Straight Outta Lynwood". Good album; first time I've owned a dual disc with DVD on one side (but the video for White & Nerdy is not on it).
  23. Fezmid is correct. I only double dip when it's my own bleu cheese or salsa or guac, or whatever.
  24. Weis will stay at Notre Dame...forever if he can. He realizes he's got a shot at being mentioned with the greatest ND coaches ever...right up there with Rockne, Ara, Holtz. Why should Charlie Weis go anywhere when he can become a legend right where he is?
