I like the idea of an Ohio State - Team Up North rematch in Glendale, but I also believe that there would be a great hue and cry from all of the other deserving schools (and yes, I would include Rutgers now, but only if they run the table). So, I think it would probably be Ohio State - Florida, or possibly a third Buckeyes - Longhorns Winner Take All Rematch.

I'll be nice to you, Ed. I always try to be nice to you. BTW, when Ohio State beats Michigan ( ), the Buckeyes will have beaten two number 2 ranked teams in the same season. That would be impressive.

Congrats Ed! This Rutgers team is a Cinderella...and it's not midnight yet. As far as a bid to Glendale is concerned...run the table, and then we'll talk. There have been other teams which finished undefeated that didn't get a chance to play for the title (Tulane in '98, Marshall in '99 and most notably, Auburn and Penn State, each a few years back), but if the Knights beat WVU, then they may well have an argument. But savor this win...big things like this don't happen very often. I predicted Louisville by one, but I didn't predict this.

Two new commercials for "We Are Marshall" (Click on 11-7 blog entry). The first one I have already seen on Fox Sports Net. BTW, the film is rated PG. I also have heard that the trailer is being shown prior to "Borat", so a lot of people are seeing it.

Tops is here in Cleveland...for a few more months. They are leaving because Tops is losing more and more market share to Giant Eagle, and with the first of several Wal-Mart Supercenters opening in the area, the handwriting was on the wall for Tops in NE Ohio.

I tend to agree. And if the BlueFires on this board think Ed is insufferable now... (Just kidding, Ed). I think that the Cards will still be suffering from post-WVU hangover. It is entirely possible that the State University of New Jersey pulls this one out, but they will have to play out of their minds to do it. If Louisville gets by (and my prediction is they just SQUEAK by, something like 22-21), then they run the table and play the OSU/Michigan winner. Which of course, will be the Buckeyes.

Rutgers could really give Louisville a scare this week. And what happens if the Scarlet Knights actually pull off the biggest win in their history? For starters, suddenly WVU is back in it. And Rutgers could go as high as eighth in the polls. But, even if the Knights run the table, it probably isn't enough for a shot at the Buckeyes... who would absolute annihilate the Jersey Boys...Sorry Ed.

My prediction: Michigan 10 THE Ohio State University... 23!!!!!!! (What, you didn't think I'd pick the Buckeyes?)
