  1. An update: Tina has a fever, and her heart rate is high, but it's not a blood clot. The CT scan was negative. Her lungs have some fluid in them, but she was able to get up and move around a little. It sounds like the doctor is being extra-cautious. Praise God. It's not as bad as we thought.
  2. Listen to KzooMike. He speaks the truth.
  3. Friday morning, she went to the hospital with abdominal pain. Saturday afternoon, she had surgery for a twisted intestine. The surgeon also removed her appendix. Kim and I were at the hospital Friday and Saturday. Tina (the sister-in-law) was in recovery on Saturday afternoon and looked better after surgery. She was in a lot of pain, but it was better than the abdominal discomfort she had Friday. About 30 minutes ago (1:10 EST), we get a call from her husband. Tina has developed a pulmonary embolism, or blood clot, and has been taken to the ICU. My wife is on her way to the hospital now, as it's across town from where we live. Please pray for Tina. She is married with three boys (15, 12, and 6). The six-year old on Friday night, named Peter, was with me as we couldn't find Tina's minivan in the hospital parking lot to take it home and pack a bag for the boys. Petey started crying over finding the van, but it was cold and windy outside. Honestly, I think seeing his mother in a hospital bed in pain was what really upset him, but he didn't admit it. Pray for a full recovery, rest, and lots of strength.
  4. So Gwyneth thinks that we Americans are uncouth? Big effin' deal. I'm certainly not going to lose any sleep over whether or not she likes us.
  5. The Marshall Thundering Herd board I post on is happy about it. But I will believe it when I see it...especially with the Spurrier rumors now swirling.
  6. Sadly the flagpole-tongue scene was not filmed in Cleveland, but in St. Catherines, Ontario. Some of the movie was filmed in Canada, but the house and the Higbee's/Public Square scenes were filmed here. Those scenes were filmed in April, and snow-making machines were brought in to make it look like the holidays. In fact, Higbee's was a real local department store chain which got bought out by Dillard's in the early 90's. My brother's father in law was the manager of the store where the movie scenes were shot, although not at that time. The store closed about six years ago and has remained vacant ever since.
  7. Good pics and great body...but I wouldn't do Jessica. And you can blame that insipid MTV reality show...sure, she's a piece, but I'd hate myself in the morning.
  8. Thank you. What a good day for me. And I like BOTH Shania and Martina BTW. Martina may have the prettiest eyes I've ever seen...next to my wife, that is.
  9. The Willis - plate of ribs one was clever, and the Dick Jauron - Steve Carell one made me laugh out loud.
  10. please stay safe and God bless!
  11. Just a wild guess, AJ. That's all.
  12. We like Faith, but where's Shania?
  13. It's none of my business, but I'll say AJ's boxer briefs and a tank top.
  14. The only Woody Allen film I've liked in recent years is "Small Time Crooks". That's the one with Tracey Ullman as his wife, and Woody is a thief who has Tracey's character rent a storefront for a cookie business next to a bank, so Woody and his cohorts can rob it by breaking in through the wall. But, it turns out that Tracey's cookie business is a success, and they become rich that way. I thought it was his best movie in the 90s...easily.
  15. Gives new meaning to the phrase "monkey love".
  16. Actually, he was. There was some Best Actor nomination buzz around Sly for his performance in "Copland", but then everyone sobered up and remembered who he is.
  17. Mark, I can hardly wait for your December preview. With "We Are Marshall" and "Rocky Balboa" opening on the same day (December 22), I am really looking forward to this Christmas movie season.
  18. We have the extended trailer! Best line is by Duke: "Heavy duty punches that'll rattle his ancestors!"
  19. Or this one, for the Home Run Throwback.
  20. I figured you'd call him a Sooner fan.
