  1. Mine are worse in the morning...so bad they could peel the paint off the bathroom wall. I've always wondered why that is. Storing them up all night?
  2. I bring you Jane Badler today. She will turn 56 on New Year's Eve. I think her looks have held up pretty well. Not all the pics are current (some are from V).
  3. Linky What this means is that Mountaineer, Wheeling Island, and the Detroit/Windsor casinos will lose about a third of their business. Two of the casinos will be run by Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert, who makes money on just about everything he touches. They will probably be running in about 2 1/2 to 3 years. Lots of money for Gilbert (who probably will need it if LeBron James stays, which I think he will), but the state is charging way too little for the licenses...$50 million for each. Indiana, for example, charges $250 million. Per casino. This is an opportunity for some to make a whole lot...and others to make a little, with the jobs and all. I'm usually ambivalent about casinos, but after examining the issue, I see why this one passed (too much being lost to other states).
  4. Take a look at any Heart video from the mid to late 80s and study the camera angles for Ann Wilson. Notice that she is never shown straight on like Nancy was. It's always at an angle or only from the chest up. And she almost always wore a corset (you could tell from some of the angles). That's really unfair to Ann, who's always been a fantastic singer, but I guess the camera is unforgiving.
  5. This is true. Other than Romy and Michelle (a funny movie which is actually the female version of Bill & Ted), what has Mira done since?
  6. Linky This is not surprising. Since he has no criminal record, once he completes the intervention program in January, his record will be wiped clean. Many first-time offenders get a chance with this. Cleveland Municipal Court (and Judge Stokes, the judge hearing this case) are big on this program. I've gotten it for my clients several times. So, basically, it becomes no blood, no foul for Whitner. He just needs to complete the program successfully.
  7. I'm from Cleveland. I don't even say that.
  8. Boy, do I ever remember that game. I was hyperventilating as Kelly marched the team down the field, and then Ronnie Harmon drops the ball in the end zone. Next play was the Matthews interception. Remember that I was a big Browns fan...at the time, 20 years ago.
  9. Tell that to Packers "fans" who were cheering Brett Favre last Monday night. Still burns me up. BTW, I know I haven't been on much lately, but the Browns do have a shot at 0-16. In Cleveland, the current question is "When does the season start for the Cavs?"
  10. Um, have you even SEEN the movie? Or are you confusing it with Buffalo '66?
  11. Yeah, it's really bad. The lag, I mean.
  12. I'm sorry Dean...is there such a thing???
  13. Who are about to go 1-7 in their next eight games. You heard it here first. Well, I actually heard that from Colin Cowturd this morning...
  14. Burgers are good; stay away from the wings. Agree with Beerball, go with the pulled pork. You usually can't go wrong with pulled pork.
  15. One of the best videos I've seen in a long time. IMO, it sounds like the whole thing is the fault of the drunk hottie in the Roy Williams jersey. She's practically falling over. Suprised she didn't pee herself at some point.
  16. They support Polanski because he's an auteur, an artist, an "innocent victim". And the big bad United States finally got him. That said, even his victim (who's now 45) says he shouldn't get hammered by the legal system. I think he may serve a couple of years and get deported. He would be sentenced under the laws that existed at the time of the offense, which would be 1977. Escape laws really weren't on the books then like they are now.
  17. +1. Bravo for Heston. RIP.
  18. New blog entry out.
  19. This reminds me a bit of the case of the girl in Salt Lake City who was kidnapped from her bedroom a few years back...but that was a few months. This was 18 years...wow.
  20. Actually I "came out" as a Packers fan during this post last Christmas Eve. But, like most of my posts, no one really noticed. That's one of my longest posts ever. I must have been channeling Barry Brady or something. It's better than the "Cleveland troll" accusations I've gotten in the past. I must really like you guys, because I've been around here going on seven years. BTW, I saw someone on Deadspin.com refer to the Eagles this year as "The Ron Mexico Cheesesteak Experience". I just HAD to use that, so I changed my avatar.
  21. RIP -- I wasn't a fan of his, but he is gone, and deserves respect.
  22. Burger Chef Tastee-Freez Drive-ins not named Sonic (which are starting to move into the Cleveland area) I must be hungry. Other items include: MTV and VH1 playing music videos Glass pop bottles Regular leaded gasoline Good R&B and Soul music (like Earth, Wind and Fire and the late, great Luther Vandross and Isaac Hayes) Astroturf Westerns on TV that aren't reruns Those weather maps on old TV newscasts that aren't projected on to a "green screen" Pagers (even though my dad still carries one...he refuses to get a cell phone) And my favorite: SHAME.
  23. Rosati's here in Cleveland. The Higbee's Chocolate Malt....mmmm...the best ever. Hands down.
  24. http://frozencustardfordinner.blogspot.com/ Yeah I know, it's not 2003 anymore, and blogging is passe. At least that's what Beerball and ExiledinIllinois are going to say, so I beat you guys to it.
  25. Hey VH1: Play a frickin' music video!!!! Even Michael Jackson will do!
