Round 1 Playoff: Colts at Bills - Sat. 1/9 1:05pm
elroy16 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Colts aren't anything special in the red zone. They might get some yards, but they won't keep up with the Bills offense. Barring Josh getting way too amped and freaking out (which isn't going to happen), bills win comfortably. -
Dion Dawkins: A Letter to Bills Mafia, Part II
elroy16 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I didn't think I could be more amped about this weekend, but here we are. I can't think about work, I don't care about what I'm eating for dinner, I don't want to do anything besides read, listen, and watch Bills football until Saturday. Usually the end of the year is depressing, even if the playoffs are in the future, there's no way they could scrap together four wins. I know how it's going to end even if I don't know exactly how. This year though... I don't know. Regardless of how it plays out, I freaking love this team. -
The work he's done to improve his mechanics has been pretty amazing to watch. Last year he was better, but it didn't quite seem like the muscle memory was totally there yet and he'd get a little bit sloppy when things weren't perfect. This year, even in dirty pockets and with guys in his face, he's got much better mechanics. Even if it doesn't look like they're great, he's keeping his left arm closer to keep his body from flying open and he's keeping his shoulders square to the throw. Awesome pic by the way.

So many clutch plays today. I'll throw out Milano and the D sniffing out a couple of screens and making a few key stops in the first half. The rams moved the ball pretty much all game the difference was in the first the bills got a few stops.

Hopefully it'll be better than Jimmy butlers when he's 30.

Wow, GMFB’s Kyle Brandt drops the mike on Peter Schrager!

That makes me think of this play with Kirk Cousins. Josh Allen ain't sliding 2 yards short of a first down. Maybe Cousins didn't have enough dog in him for Diggs and that's why he wanted out. I have no evidence, just thinking out loud. -
Tre White ankle sprain? (Not on injury report)
elroy16 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Great example of how speed isn't the only thing that makes a someone a great deep threat. First, great release to get on top of White. Then strong arms to keep Tre from grabbing him or slowing him down. Lastly a little hip check to slow down White and create separation. It's going to be sooooo fkking fun watching Diggs. -

3rd in the NFL in yards per game is pretty strong. They don't bend too much. I know what you mean, it felt like they gave up more yards than you'd like, but teams are going to move the ball at times against any defense. -
Mario and Quinton talked about the depth and talent on the D line. Love to see it.

He's got a little kid, I get it. The idea of staying away for 5 months would be incredibly difficult, as is knowing you are potentially exposing your loved ones to a disease we don't fully understand. My daughter is in daycare for the first time today because I have to start going back to work. Scares the crap out of me. If she ends up with some sort of life long health issues because of this, I'll never be able to forgive myself. I can't blame these guys, if they have kids or don't, for opting out. Doesn't mean I'm not disappointed though.

RD 3, Pick 86: RB Zach Moss, University of Utah
elroy16 replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Watching highlights, it doesn't make sense. He puts the hurt on guys a good but bigger than he is. I saw a Travis Henry comparison which would be an incredible compliment to Singletary. I would have loved a burner but I can't complain with two backs that have great balance and should move the chains. -

My wife works for TSA and the amount of times she reads about someone accidentally bringing a loaded gun to the airport is alarming. -
Who Is Your Least Favorite Bill of All Time ... and Why?
elroy16 replied to Gugny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
2:50 mark. After the game my friends and I got lost on the way back to the metro, then my friend's metro card got eaten by the machineat the end of the trip so he jumped the turnstile so a cop stopped us. Since he was drunk, he started getting snippy with the cop, thankfully he let us go. That was a long day. -

My brain must have suppressed those memories or I was too inebriated to remember. -

Lol, fair enough. For Royal it was the WR pass from Evans (I think). For Leodis it was the Monday nighter near the end of the game. Were there others? -

I always had a soft spot for Trent. I just started really paying attention and watching the Bills around then. My first Bills game was Bills at Washington when he dropped a beautiful pass to Josh Reed to put them in FG position to win the game. I thought we were set. I was so young and foolish. Peters' hold out pissed me off, so he's up there. I liked Lynch, but then he kept being a dumbass. I really liked Dareus and thought he was going to be a stud, then he kept fu'king up. Robert Royal is up there cause he sucked, his inability to keep his foot in bounds for a TD that one time sealed it. I liked Leodis, but that GD fumble against NE will forever piss me off. -

John Brown failure to toe drag
elroy16 replied to Lieutenant Aldo Raine's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This and the failure of three people to block Cunningham are the two plays that drive me most crazy. Neither were hard plays, both were just absolute brain farts in the worst possible times. -
Not the call. I have faith Allen will learn a lot from this game and season.
-
Allen audibled or killed a play at the line, right? I'm guessing (based on nothing specific from the game) that whatever play call Daboll gave Allen had a built in kill that Allen used because he didn't like the coverage. I'm guessing Allen did this based off of what he's been told to look for and do. Instead of realizing the situation where he should have hiked it and threw it away quickly if it looked bad, he went back on what he's been taught and did that. IF this is what happened, I can't get too upset with him. Playoffs, near the half, there's a lot going on. He'll learn. If it was Daboll's play call, then he's a freaking moron.
