  1. I understand the reasoning but for me, keeping the wind down to avoid negatively impacting the offense is more important. What they need are some huge doors, like 100' by 30' at one end that they can open in a 2 minute span that would allow the wind to come in. Oh the chiefs have the ball with a minute to go and they need a FG to tie the game? Open the doors!
  2. Would you really want them to maximize wind swirl and turn every game into a mess where no one can pass the ball? I know Allen has a canon but he can't throw through everything. I'm pretty sure they designed the stadium to minimize the wind, which is the way to go. Maximizing crowd noise should definitely be a priority.
  3. Hurdles one guy and before hitting the ground trucks another dude, simply amazing.
  4. McKenzie is a seven year pro who's missed similar plays in the past. He's not a bad or dumb player, I just don't see that high level IQ in the heat of the moment I see from Shakir or plenty of other of players. It's like watching Allen in the pocket after years of Losman, Edwards, or Manual sitting in a pocket for 3 seconds only to get sacked because they're oblivious to what's going on around them. Allen has IT, they didn't. Shakir has had drop issues in the past as well, that's a valid concern. It was something pointed out in the draft process, he'll make spectacular catches but miss some easy ones.
  5. I love Shakir's awareness on the field. He goes up for balls and simultaneously contorts his body to protect himself and secure the catch. You saw McKenzie catch a 2nd down pass near the 1st down and didn't pick it up because tried to make more happen as opposed to just getting the first. I think that's a play you'd see Shakir make.
  6. I knew their D wasn't good, but I didn't realize it was quite that bad. I'd feel a lot better if Poyer or Hyde could go, so at least they'd have a vet in the backend to keep guys lined up properly and make sure they're all on the same page. Having Edmunds, Milano, and Taron playing is big though, they should at least make the intermediate throws in the middle of the field tough and help slow down the run game. Hamlin and Johnson have been in the system for a while, so they should be good, and the young CB's have good heads on their shoulders. I have no doubt they're preaching 1/11th all week. Don't get caught cheating and let Hill run passed you. Who cares if you give up an easy 12 yard dig here and there, the offense will keep the pressure on their offense and the D-line will get home eventually. Should be a fun game to watch.
  7. Watching some of the highlights and breakdowns of the fins/ravens game and it looks like Tua had more solid throws and plays than most are giving him credit for. Some of the big plays came on busted coverages, but he was moving in the pocket and hitting intermediate targets in stride with anticipation. Now these are highlights, so I'm not sure what other throws he missed, but he looked solid. This is a very good test for the secondary, especially if they're out Hyde, Poyer, and Dane. They can't let Hill break short passes for huge gains and the front 4 has to get to him. It's a good thing Johnson and Hamlin have been in the system and should know it well, they'll need to play very well. Considering their D is banged up too, I still see the Bills putting up more points and taking the win, but it might be quite the barn burner. I'm looking forward to how they respond.
  8. My wife is going out of town Friday night until Sunday noonish. Handing off the hellions the second she walks in the door and plopping my ass on the couch. Damn it's awesome having football back.
  9. Never read anything into the PFF scores. I'm not saying Dawkins should have gotten a perfect 100, I get they're basically doing Olympic scoring where tiny mistakes ding the score. But zero pressures and you don't even him an 80? Idk, doesn't add up.
  10. Lost in the, "Now Poyer/Edmunds/Oliver" can't sign talk is how much cap space Beane can clear by restructuring contracts. It's one of the things he does really well and so far hasn't had to do a lot of. It sounds like a lot of money for Knox but he's in his prime and still has room to grow.
  11. Most disappointed that Kingsley Jonathan was picked up. He flashed some good looking moves.
  12. Between Settle being banged up and knowing they kept 5 DT's on the 53 last year, I thought sure they'd keep a 5th DT. I know Rousseau and Basham to an extent can come inside at times, but they feel slim at the position now. I assume they'll try and bring a guy or two back to the PS, but it seems a hair risky with Settle not practicing much. If he was missing games, but still participating in team work, it would be one thing, but I don't think he's practiced since the first pre-season game.
  13. They've had Morse, Bates, Muscle Hamster, and Shaq on before (probably others too). They've broken down all sorts of film and their responsibilities. If the coaches had issues with it, there's no way they'd still be going on. I'm sure other coaches can watch film and come to basically the same conclusion.
  14. Hopefully he's what I had hoped Quinton Jefferson was going to be. So far so good.
  15. You can just argue that it's good the QB is questioning the HC so that they can work together and create the best product, but I don't think that's what's happening here. Kyler is taking vet rest days? Okay...
  16. How could they not include the video of Josh giving him a hug at the Sabres game? Come on.
  17. No doubt in my mind he is re-signed and stays here a long time. It'll be one of those deals that looks like we paid a ton, maybe even top 5 for TE's when he signs. In actuality, it's a fair deal for both sides that gets Knox paid well and still gives the team flexibility down the road. He's going to get better and better, fits in perfectly with the team/community, plays a key position, and appears to be very close with Allen. He's not going anywhere.
  18. Knox and Allen seem to be pretty close. Whenever you see Allen at a Sabres game or something, seems like Knox is always there. I think he gets paid here with a solid, team friendly'ish deal.
  19. Oh man, what a game to go to for your first time. The atmosphere is going to be insane. I find the wings at Jimmy's in VA to be amazing when they're on point. Although one time they weren't amazing it was 2am and the other time my friend asked for his to be extra crispy and I'm pretty sure they did everyone's that way because they were kinda dry. He's ruined my wings a number of times asking for extra crispy, drives me crazy. I can only imagine what Bar Bill wings are like. Great, now I'm starving.
  20. Levi talking about the Kelce play. "Usually he's (Poyer) near me... He was that far back, If I would have just looked back, I would have scooted him or I would have pressed." "In four years we never took communication for granted and in the 13 seconds we let ourselves down." Yes, I'm still pissed about that play. How the F do you just relax on that play? Right after Hill gashed you for 20 yards to get into much better position. How the F^(# are you relaxing at this time and not going over every detail??? Is it a coincidence he wasn't re-signed?
  21. Ah right, Crowder. That's actually perfect, give him a year to adjust and take over next year.
  22. Elam's ceiling is a bigger and faster Tre White. Having a great and willing leader in White is a perfect situation for Elam. Shakir makes me think of Robert Woods with some Beasley mixed it. There's a glaring hole at slot receiver, if he can take that over, that's a huge win. They don't need him to be amazing, just get open when you have the advantage and keep teams honest. By all accounts Elam, Cook, and Shakir are all high quality guys in almost ever sense. They all work hard, have the ability, and could fill huge holes. Very exciting.
  23. I don't think I've ever been more convinced a draft pick will pan out. He might not end up at Tre's level, but I have almost no doubt that he's going to be a strong #2 at the least. I mean, look at this kid. I've only ever dreamt of being that cool. It's not the over the top, look at my necklace, cool/confidence. He just is. Plus he's got the athletic ability, notebooks, and work ethic to back it up. Kid is going to be good.
  24. At some point, maybe during the press conference or another interview, Von mentions that he was very anxious during the process until he signed the contract. He said it was a really tough day. He just left a great situation where they won the Super Bowl and he's on the cusp of leaving that for something mostly unknown. Once he signed the contract his friends started talking about, "oh you're smiling again" or something like that. The way he was acting made total sense if you think about what was going on in his head the whole time.
  25. Levi deserves a lot of blame. With 7 seconds to go, he was one on one with Kelce. He bit on a quick out fake by Kelce and let him get way too far up field. Maybe he was expecting someone to come down hard, idk, but a quick out doesn't help them. The only thing on both plays that ***** helps is getting up field as fast as possible. ***** ***** ***** Epic failure from everyone on that drive. McD talks so much about situational football. I have a hard time believing they didn't practice this situation at some point and they looked like they had no idea what to do. *****&#&***#($)@(&*#@*$#)$(#*(@(*
