  1. Most definitely. Would he be here without the suspension? What about without the injury? I'd love to be a fly on the wall while Whaley and Rex discuss the 53 man roster. Yes and no. He definitely needs to add weight, but he supposedly has a solid lower half which should allow him to anchor in the run game. I'd love to have the time to go back and watch all of his snaps to see how he set the edge, but I'm lazy. With how important it is to Rex's system, I have to believe he's at least decent at it. I don't think he needs to gain 20-30 pounds to be successful. Manny Lawson did a tremendous job at setting the edge and he's only listed at 240. If he doesn't pan out, at least he didn't cost a first round draft pick like Maybin did.
  2. Great line from Mario there, he obviously doesn't want to think much while playing. I get it to an extent, but also, be a pro and do what you're told. If their front 4 is only worried about attacking the QB, we better see a bunch of roll-outs, screens, draws, etc from the offense.
  3. It's possible they liked Albright too much to expose him to waivers. Manny is 32, it's possible the combination of Alexander's strong play, Manny's injury, possible suspension, and/or decline in play all played a factor.
  4. Agreed. Here's the offensive side, not as big of an improvement.
  5. The rankings don't necessarily mean anything, but this is interesting and gives a little bit of context. Maybe not trying to mesh two schemes and having players know what they're supposed to do actually helped? Who would have thought?
  6. Not fake (solid joke though) and they're sold out. http://www.tb12store.com/collections/nutrition/products/tb12-snacks $200 for a nutrition manual. What a scam.
  7. I just bought one of the Nike mid level Watkins white jerseys. I've had horrible luck with the jerseys I've bought in the past, rarely do they last more than a year after I buy the jersey. So if sammy tanks this year and in the future, you can blame me. Here are the jerseys I own; Fred Jackson Stevie Johnson Lee evans Marshawn Lynch Donte whitner Aaron Maybin *knockoff* Anquan boldin of the Ravens (wife is from maeyland) and he was traded a year later
  8. Even if he does perform well and hits all of his incentives, he'll still make under $17 million a year. As ridiculous as this may sound, that is still a very good amount for a starting QB.
  9. Above: Ragland, Shady, Woods Ragland came from a similar system and will jump right in. Won't be a pro-bowler, but will play well in all three downs. Shady came into camp lighter and in better shape than last year. He's got a year with this line and is very hungry to perform. Rex will keep him healthy by not overdoing his workload before the season and Shady will have his best year as a Bill. Woods is healthy and is underrated as a #2 WR. With Sammy demanding double teams, Woods will get plenty of looks and will take advantage. Below: Graham, Robey, Gillislee
  10. The only part that stuck out to me was when he said he's not going to ask for the ball and that type of stuff. Sounds like a jab at sammy. I'm not saying I think he dislikes sammy, but maybe he wasn't really buddy's with the other receivers. Even if that's the opposite of the truth, he wasn't going to be a top 2 WR and would be pretty low on the pecking order for offensive options here. He got paid and has a better shot at snaps in a throwing offense, the move made sense. He'll probably put up solid numbers because defenses will focus on their other weapons. He's a decent player but I don't think will be missed.
  11. I don't totally agree with this. I know people say it more than show me the baby, but I still don't agree. You really want Boobie Dixon running the ball? If RB was so easy, CJ Spiller would have been a hall of famer. He was as fast and quick as they come but couldn't find a hole to save his life. He showed flashes of what his ceiling could be. If he quits acting like an idiot and takes football seriously, KW could be very, very good. Shady won't be around for a long time and RB's frequently miss time. It's very disappointing to see him and J. Williams messing up this early in their careers.
  12. I'm curious to see how he bounces back. There's been a few articles about him in the Buffalo News and BB.com about his family's struggles including getting evicted just days before he went to college. For his sake, and selfishly because he sounds like a promising prospect, I hope he can use this as a wake up call and realize that his NFL dreams and his ability to provide for his family can go away in the blink of an eye.
  13. Brady suspension upheld and confirmation of no suspension for McCoy, good day.
  14. http://www.buffalobills.com/video/audio/Manny-Lawson-Youll-have-to-stop-our-attack/c65ca268-234b-44fd-aec2-b1043e616621 There wasn't a ton of ground breaking stuff in the interview but a good interview. Manny is a very smart player so I enjoy hearing what he has to say. The main thing that stood out was when he was talking about Shaq. He said he expects big things from him and he's ready to come and work. He also believes Shaq has the right mindset in part because the first time they met, Shaq asked him how he's stayed in the league so long. Lawson's response, do what the coaches tell you to do. Hopefully more players have Manny's mindset this year.
  15. I haven't gone through the whole tread, but found this stuff this morning. https://twitter.com/ChrisTrapasso/status/735840853214658561 Here's a picture of the Patriots guidelines. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CjY5hmmVAAAZaLL.jpg Unsurprisingly, the Bills are not the only team that implement similar rules. Maybe it's purely paranoia and unnecessary, but I honestly don't see what the big deal is. The team spends millions and millions of dollars to create a winning product. If they don't want to show anyone anything besides the team on Sundays, that's their right IMO. It would suck, but I would understand.
  16. True, but you don't necessarily strive for continuity between 5 random positions like you do with the offensive line.
  17. Murph said the last time the Bills had all 5 starters return on the offensive line was something like 20 years ago.
  18. Well the Bills did just draft a strong pass rusher in Shaq, added an interior D-lineman in Washington who's best at rushing the passer up the middle (You know, probably the first thing people say you must do when trying to beat Brady), and added a LB in free agency (Zach Brown) who plays well against the pass. It's not like the Bills have done nothing to try and get better against the pass.
  19. The last play shows the importance of 11 guys on defense all doing their jobs. One guy jumped to the wrong gap to try and be the hero, ends up costing them 7.
  20. Someone posted the following link, but I don't think the mentioned one of the videos down the page a little bit. http://www.nfl.com/labs/rr/pathtothedraft/lawson It's under the portion titled, "Lawson gets expected outcome on medical recheck." The video has nothing to do with his shoulder or medical check, it's about how he plays his game and then they watch some tape on Von Miller and talk to Shaq about what he's doing. Shaq talked about the different moves he likes to do if he sees a tackle leaning and waiting for a bull rush, he also talks about different moves he likes to do when he long arms tackles. Good stuff.
  21. It's pretty cool to hear that Washington was John Blake's (D-Line coach) number 1 rated player. He might not be the best at playing the run, but the rest of the front 7 plays pretty well against the run, including the first two picks. Obviously Washington has to put in the work and develop, but I love his potential. I can't remember the last time they drafted an interior D-lineman who's main strength is rushing the passer. Well that's not true, Dareus is good at everything, but besides him.
  22. Interesting tid-bit here. https://twitter.com/YardsPerPass/status/728279589118709760 Between Shaq, Ragland, and their thoughts on Washington, the FO and coaches have to be pumped about this draft.
  23. I guess he missed the play where Stanley had to tackle Lawson after a beautiful spin move. https://vine.co/v/iPdQU7Z6xgW
  24. There's a great article on Reed in the Buffalo News where he addresses his pass rushing abilities. http://bills.buffalonews.com/2016/04/25/dl/ I've come around on Reed. I know everyone loves to point out it's a passing league, but people also run the ball a lot. It's not like they changed the rules to CFL or something where there's only 3 downs, they expanded the field, and teams throw all the time. You still need to stop the run. Darron Lee worries me because I think the run D will suffer and with such a small LB group, teams could pound the ball against the front 7 all day.
