  1. Also, when he did finally make contact, the ref's blew it. He was a good half yard short of the line to gain and it should have been 4th down, or Marrone should have challenged the spot. It was clearly short.
  2. I totally agree with you. He adds quite a bit to the game with his commentary. Most others do not.
  3. not to be too pessimistic but Wood seems to be very average at his position and Henderson is 3 games into his career , a bit premature to say we are set at LT with him.
  4. Damn, he sounds really good.
  5. they drafted 3 lineman this year and signed a free agent. It may not have worked yet but they made a very serious effort to upgrade their line.
  6. Seriously? How would that happen? By doing the job he was hired to do, well? Is he showing up McCoy in San Diego?
  7. Sometimes it's hard to tell sarcasm online. Yeah, he might be impossible to cover as a TE. Great idea, it's amazing nobody has thought of using him as a TE before now.
  8. I think Henderson needs to get his crap together quick then. Never really heard of an on field mentor, especially one that blows. Yes, Richardson could be worse. If he was better , he would be playing.
  9. San Diego looks tired. Big letdown after beating Seattle last week. Out of sync playing at 10am their time.
  10. What makes you think that? You really think if they're playing the Texans, they will have NE on their minds?
  11. It's a subject that has received an amazing amount of attention this week, I'm just amazed at how much emphasis people are putting on a plane trip the day before a game and that San Diego playing at '10am their time' will be such huge factors. How about the skill set of the teams. I wonder if that will affect the outcome at all.
  12. Makes you wonder if the quality of the teams playing is a factor in the outcome as well.
  13. and from what I know, Payton had been warned about it and did not stop it.
  14. I don't have the rule book in front of me but my guess is there is something in there about deliberate attempts to injure players. And paying someone to injure other people is definitely illegal.
  15. Goodell hasn't done anything illegal or against any league rules. There is a difference. A big difference.
  16. It's easy to be a hard ass, most people seem to like it. And although Silver did the necessary thing with Sterling - imagine what would have happened if the Clippers boycotted playoff games or other players boycotted as well, which from what I hear was a distinct possibility. A multi billion dollar industry would have had an incredible disaster on their hands. Getting rid of Sterling was easy , although one can argue not totally fair. The NBA had no problem with his years of legal issues until it threatened their pocket book. But I do agree that Silver handled his situation much better than Goodell, my feeling is that Goodell should have the opportunity to fix the problem. It seems the solution most people come up with is to fire somebody, but not address the problem. They seem to be doing the right thing after many missteps.
  17. The league is not out of control. I have no doubt this type of behavior has happened before, but the league is doing very well. They need to address this problem and attempt to fix it. This is what they are doing. They admitted to their mistakes and now will move forward. As much as everyone loves to just say to fire him, as all sports fans do, just like fire the coach...., nobody feels that those in charge should have the opportunity to fix the problems they are confronted with. And I have yet to hear any solutions to the problem? Should Rice, Dwyer, Hardy and AP all receive the same punishment, or what should the punishment be? It's not that cut and dried.I think the NFL is a very well run organization and I'm a big fan. I have no problem letting the league execs and the players union work with abuse experts and try to find a solution to the problem facing the league right now.
  18. I think fans try to find things to make them feel more confident about the game, even if they don't really think them out that much. A four hour plane ride, emotional letdown, looking past this game, the temperature, rain, fans..... usually the better team wins. But I think it's silly to put so much stock in these other factors. Do they have an impact on the game? maybe, but not for sure. By this logic will the Bills lose when traveling to nice weather climates since Buffalo's weather sucks most of the time. Will the Bills be distracted with the Miami nightlife since Dave and Busters closes at 9pm in Buffalo????And if the Bills win Sunday, did we win because of other factors other than that we played better or are a good football team?
  19. sometimes it's best to keep those thoughts to yourself.
  20. it's a 5 hour flight on Southwest, charter would be about the same. it's usually pretty brown here in the summer. It's plush green landscapes with wildflowers all over the place. Never seen anything like it in 15 years out here.
  21. I bet their arms will be tired. I thank you! It's called climate change. I live in Phoenix, we usually get a couple inches of rain a year. We have had about 3 storms in the last month that were 2-4 inches each time. It's crazy.
  22. Nolan will say, My team sucked all last year and they still love me. You are 2-0 and if you lose this week they'll be calling for your job.
  23. Unlike Nolan , who's team doesn't have to win and Buffalonians would still kiss his butt.
  24. ok, i give. Put this one in the win column - it's amazing a west coast team ever wins a game on the road.
