  1. I find this hard to believe. Kromer is a highly regarded OL coach, his assistant is just that, an assistant. Perhaps they get lucky, but there most likely would be a significant falloff. And it's also very hard to believe that he has already taught them everything they need to know. That just makes no sense whatsoever.
  2. I agree. Hope you are correct. He was their first choice to be OL coach, I don't want his assistant taking over. Would be a huge setback.
  3. He made a key block on Fred's big run against Chicago to set up the winning FG in OT. Probably the only good block from our LG position all season.
  4. I think a big problem with the song over the years was that it was often played in pretty dismal situations. We were losing, or going to lose, or lost quite a few games already, seemed quite lame when it was blaring over the sound system and most fans didn't give a crap.
  5. I hate the shout song, love the Sabre Dance.
  6. Many fans B word about any signing, sometimes they will be correct. Did these fans have a better option? Obviously the players behind him on the depth chart were pretty awful.
  7. Not sure that nazi is the appropriate term here... or anywhere, unless you are referring to actual nazis
  8. Elway, Eli , Kelly- they were going to get a contract regardless... they were some of the few that have any leverage to choose their teams. Not a fair comparison to a first time head coach.
  9. We've been a crap team for 15 years, most people expect us to be a playoff team with a defense that has potential to be talked about with the best of recent memory. We have more talent on offense than we have had in years. I think they are handling the roster just fine. No complaints here. (and Kiko was way overrated)
  10. they were not a 'stud ' defense under Pettine. One of the worst defenses against the run in the league.
  11. I've lived in Phoenix since 1999, like to pull for the Cardinals, they have been pretty fun to watch for a while. Bills still my main team. As far as all the negative comments about other teams fans, in my experience at many stadiums around the country, Bills fans are about the most obnoxious and annoying fans around. Bills fans love to tell everyone that they are the greatest fans around, the weather in Buffalo isn't that bad(telling that to fans in San Diego is amusing) and they are loud and obnoxious. They also get too drunk and act stupid. Look at yourselves in the mirror before criticizing others.
  12. that's the smart move
  13. i haven't checked to confirm, but weren't they both on a Ravens super bowl team?
  14. What if we sign him to a long term deal now and he has just as poor or worse year than last year? Plus, why would Glenn sign a contract now for less than what he could get next year. Many fans always look at contracts from one side, saying to sign someone early at a bargain price, the players agent is there to make sure something like this doesn't happen. If Glenn/agent feel he is a top tier tackle, no way he signs a bargain deal.
  15. Yeah, but the weather still blows most of the year, why would a florida guy want to spend jan, feb mar april may.... in crappy weather. If he wins, he could live in New England for all I care.
  16. I believe Rex said he's probably ahead of Henderson now, which means, Kujo MIGHT be ahead of one of the worst rated tackles in the league last year. Nice for Kujo, but not really much to get excited about at this point.
  17. Seems to me these days it's all insincere. Watch on TV - an emotional salute to the troops in a commercial - brought to you by Budweiser. They may really appreciate the service, but they are doing it to make a buck. If it was out of the goodness of their company, they wouldn't have to attach their product to it.
  18. I'm glad you corrected yourself a bit regarding Bird. Albeit brief, he was a very successful coach. I think he had a health issue which took him out of coaching.
  19. Since Fred was not a coach, it's unfair to criticize him for not making other players better. That was not his responsibility. Regarding him being a coach after his playing days, I think it's just mentioned by people that like him so much that they think it would be good for him to coach, even though I don't recall ever hearing him talk about it. Those saying that have no idea if he would be a good coach, they just really like him.
  20. You are nit picking. They don't think Vick is a good fit for this team or else they would sign him. Maybe Simms will get cut, but if a QB gets injured, he will come back. They are not 'going through the motions', are they going through the motions with 5 tackles on the roster even though they'll only keep 3?
  21. I think the main point to be taken is that Carucci has no clue what he is talking about. He is guessing, be basically said so himself. They have not even started training camp, to suggest such drastic line changes at this point is not only wrong, but irresponsible for someone who is supposed to be such a knowledgeable football reporter. I'm confident that this coaching staff will start the right players in their best positions. Unless Henderson and Kujo make giant leaps from last year, it could be a tough season for the line. But let's at least wait til training camp and have the players in pads before we jump to conclusions.
  22. let's petition the sunday night games, because someone wants to watch it on direct tv
  23. too many excuses for the poor performance of the line last year. Henderson was a gamble in the 7th round, I know he was highly recruited out of high school, but he hasn't done much since then. It's not a stretch to think he's not very good.
