  1. actually only over the Raiders.
  2. Just because there are many WR in camp doesn't mean you have depth. We have bodies, not depth. Woods is very good, it makes sense to keep him.
  3. Totally ridiculous statement. Just because the situation ended last year as a big problem doesn't mean it can't be fixed. Just because someone wasn't great before doesn't mean they can't get better and continually improve. Taylor was on a very good team for 4 years. Ozzie Newsome doesn't make many mistakes in judging talent. Taylor learned for four years, that used to be what many QB's needed to do before they got a chance to play. Cassel has had success when surrounded by talent, he is surrounded by a lot of talent now. EJ looks to be improving. All these QB's have a great OC to work with. I'm optimistic, no reason not to be. If the QB's looked awful this preseason I would be worried, but they have looked good, and this is with most of the talent not playing. Things change, sometimes for the better. It's not that unusual.
  4. i know what it is. It's one of those 'words' that just annoys the crap out of me.
  5. Good article about the switch . http://www.nfl.com/superbowl/story/0ap1000000132169/article/colin-kaepernick-over-alex-smith-the-truth-about-a-bold-move Fair enough. Thanks!
  6. Not really assuming that, I would think he had some input as OC. I also understand the dynamics of a HC wanting the player he drafted to play at some point. Don't assume because we don't always post all of our thoughts at one time, that we aren't as 'smart' as you are. The reason I mentioned Roman is because some posters here are using the starting QB discussion as a vehicle for Roman to use to help get a head coaching gig. All posts here don't require an insult in return if you can't understand everything that is being discussed. It's ok not to be as smart as you think you are, nobody really cares.
  7. Although in SF, he went with inexperience over experience with a good team. Smith was the safe bet, but Kaepernick got him to the Super Bowl.
  8. Meh? Seriously. Probably wasn't even funny the first time you used it.
  9. Most QB's would look immobile compared to Taylor. My comment about Manuel playing with the first team wasn't a shot at the coaches, but just an observation that he will not be considered a starter if the coaches won't even play him with the first team. It would make no sense to start him based on his play against scrubs. That was my point.
  10. Unless EJ plays with and against first teamers, he won't have a chance. Right now, I'm with Taylor, but curious about EJ. His arm looked great last night, he has more arm strength than any QB on the roster, and that should mean something strong in his favor.
  11. Hill 8 for 25 Seale 8 for 10 Wood 3 for 6 I think you may need to rethink your logic.
  12. I think the coaches need to determine which QB will perform better in the red zone. That is the key.
  13. EJ may be the only QB on the roster capable of throwing the ball downfield with some zip on it.
  14. It makes no sense to cut EJ as of right now. If we have 3 QB's that know our system and all could be expected to perform well if needed, let's keep them all.
  15. I was being a bit sarcastic , you're not sure about signing Dareus, you wouldn't have signed Suh, was getting the impression that you didn't believe in the big deals. You also mentioned you thought good DT's come out of the draft every year, giving me the impression you see no problem using young players, rookies....and not to worry about players who require big bucks. They couldn't have gotten Graham, he was not a FA. Ngata is on the backend of his career. Suh makes more sense.
  16. Who would you pay and why? Why not just let everyone go after their rookie contracts expire.
  17. It was great, even though not #1. They'll be even better this year.
  18. I have no idea. Do you think he had nothing to do with making our defense great. They were pretty poor the year before.
  19. It's amazing we won 9 games last year. Schwartz saved this team.
  20. Seriously? But we may have 4/5 plus a FB on our team, but it's not important.
  21. players change organizations all the time, do you really think this makes a difference?
  22. do you ever hear a GM say they are a dime a dozen?
  23. can't count on anyone these days.
  24. probably because many people find the idea of a god to be kinda far fetched, especially a god interested in football. Except I'm sure he is a Tebow fan.
