Yes because spending 24% of what your net worth is, isn't an absurd idea at all.

I'd say there was probably a 100% chance they would secure a loan and not have to liquidate their assets, while the value of the franchise continues to rise and with the new TV deals coming into play after the season, they'll be raking in hundreds of millions more a year than they are now. They're fine, don't worry about them.

I agree with what you have to say.  Regardless of circumstance, Brady has been nothing short of amazing.  I still don’t like home, but show the man some respect.

I agree completely on Herbert, he’s got the tools and had the flashes than got us all intrigued with JA.  He may not be quite as athletic, but we are splitting hairs on it all., they are top 7 picks in the NFL, they are freaks.   Herbert is far better than I realized from his college days, he came in with far better coaching than Allen, he may be further along in development and maybe he hits a plateau, but at this point he’s the closest thing to Allen there is.  Nothing against him, I just hope he suck’s against the Bills for the next 20 years.

The Week 18 game vs the Raiders was as exciting as the Bills/Chiefs game. Herbert was amazing, 4th and 21 with the season on the line and makes the throw. He's got that special something that Allen has. Those 2 will be the best in the AFC with Burrow for years to come.

Did anyone see that heated debate on First Take just now? They were debating if Allen is a top 5 QB in the league.  Keyshawn had him behind Brady, Rogers, Mahomes, Burrow, Herbert & Watson.

I actually have issues w/ all of those names being ranked ahead of Allen.  I get the deference for Brady, but would anyone really want him over Allen RIGHT NOW?  Rogers I can understand more.  Herbert has done nothing in the league.  Burrow looks to be very good, but hasn't shown nearly the versatility & clutch play that Allen has (imo).

    But Watson?

I don't really get it - not just Keyshawn's take, but a still fairly large group of pundits who can't seem to break away from what they thought of Allen in the draft, or his rookie season.  I get that it's not that important, and in general, prefer it when the Bills are disrespected, but it just seems like I'm living on a different planet than some of these guys.

EDIT:  he also had Mahomes ahead of Allen (which is one I completely get, though I think is closer than most)

Not to get too deep into this discussion, but Herbert has had 2 tremendous season, Burrow is also a dynamic QB, no reason to criticize them to build up Allen.  Quite a few very good QB's in the league right now, many capable of winning a Super Bowl.

Dude you have no idea what you're talking about I'm just saying I lived in very very South Florida for a number of years and there are a lot of illegal drivers down there that's all I'm saying if you can't grasp that then tough beans.

Your comment was not relevant to the topic and your poor grammar made you look like a fool for mentioning that others didn't speak English well.

You're entitled to your viewpoint, but not to put words in my mouth.  Please review and be absolutely certain that's not what you're doing here.

Neither Hyde nor Poyer were consistent starters on their prior teams, much less "all pro", when they signed here.

My point here, is that it's not a case of our options being to either resign Poyer or draft a safety high.  It's possible to sign players in FA or even trade late round picks for a player, and develop them.

I thought Hyde was a regular with Green Bay, I remember seeing him on the field a lot and was very excited when we signed him.

People downstate obviously don't care about that.  Northeastern NJ is part of the NYC metro area and they look at that as more NY than anywhere upstate.  Their football teams play a few miles away from Manhattan--about as close as OP to downtown Buffalo.

Downstate they see how Metlife was funded and say tell the owner to fund it.  They look at Yankee stadium and say let the owner and the city of Buffalo/Erie Co split it.

Neither the city of Buffalo nor Erie county paid anything towards new Yankees stadium. The team, NYC taxpayers and MLB funds paid for it.

We need to get beyond the “hurt feelings” and keep the eyes on the prize. The Super Bowl is all that matters!! Gilmore isn’t the player that he was but could be a valuable addition.

Buffalonian's don't get beyond hurt feelings.  How can they when everyone is so mean to them all the time?

Just the fact he was active after a stint on ir in his rookie year gives me hope that the coaches feel he can be an X factor on this O.

This is a legit SB roster after all.

Didn't they take him off kick returns late in the season?  I would love to be wrong about him, but I saw nothing from him last season, not one thing to make me feel good about his future.

I don't remember any game off the top of my head that Hodgins was active for.

Like I said, the coaching staff seemed to gain alot of trust in Stevenson as the season went on.

Which coaching staff are you referring to and can you give any examples of this trust?  I thought he was one of the least impressive players I've seen in some time. Maybe he'll show something this season, but I have no expectations.

"For those Miami fans revved up and thinking the Fins will be going toe-to-toe with the Bills for AFC East supremacy this year, I bring you this factoid:

Buffalo and Miami met three times in calendar year 2021 (including the final game of the 2020 season on Jan. 3, 2021). The Bills won by 30, 35 and 15 points, an average of 26.7 points per game.

Maybe Tyreek Hill can add four touchdowns a game against the Bills."

I suppose if every game played this year is exactly like games played last year, yeah, he has a point. But it's really a ridiculous comment by a seasoned football writer. What if Hill gets to TD's in the first qtr, the whole game is changed. It's a huge signing , remember, Miami won 7 in a row last season and added quite a bit this offseason. Chase Edmunds is a very good RB.  Tua played well more often than not last year, they will be tough. Good thing we beefed up our defense.

So the question becomes quite simply if you take the Ball and Allen leads us to a TD - are you kicking the XP or going for 2.  Because if you take the ball and are assuming both teams are going to score - I can assure you Reid would be going for 2 on his terms to keep the ball from Allen on the sudden death round.

good question.  Do you think McD would have gone for 2 if we got the ball back and scored in OT?  Probably.

Would certainly make for exciting finishes, as if we need anything more exciting than last years game.

Funny how you think it was Littman.

Unless Ralph Wilson's alias was Littman you are wrong.

I think it was pretty well known back then that Littman was very influential with Wilson on how to spend, it rarely worked out well.
