I realize this. My point was disagreeing that Roman's offense is about controlling the clock. He wants to control the clock when it's to our advantage, but he will try for the quick strike when it's there. He's a good coordinator.
Those 4 TE's had good games and their team lost each game. I understand what a good TE can do if he takes over a game, just like a good RB, or WR or QB.
If they are really good. It's the same as WR - can't cover Julio Jones, Dez, AJ Green, Sammy....
I've never understood the emphasis on how TE's fare against teams compared to other skill positions. Do we follow stats on how WR do against certain teams. It's important, like any matchup, but just seems a little overdone. The top TE's generally play well as do the top WR's.
He was lined up against a RB wide, and was burned easily for a TD, wasn't even close to him. Make all the excuses you want. He's no good, hasn't been very effective since about week 6 with us 2 years ago.
