  1. I would hope that the police act properly any time I or anyone else calls them. I would also like to see the good cops call out the bad cops, but they can't or won't, and that's a big part of the problem. I would have a lot more respect for them if they would do that.
  2. come on, comment on it. that's why we're here. (OJ was 'not guilty' too) In a perfect world. But in the Stadium case, I'm with you.
  3. It's his fault he was in legal trouble, it's the fault of those that recklessly caused his death that he is dead. Not every crime should result in an immediate execution. and one more point, because this could go on forever. I can see why some people run from cops, if i were in some others shoes, i'm not sure I would trust them enough to just sit there and wonder if this is the a-hole cop or not.
  4. a very naive take on this. It wasn't 'sitting calmly in the back of a cop car'. He had a broken back and was sitting in a van and tossed around as the driver had his fun making sudden swerves.
  5. this could get deeper than I have time for, but... I don't defend michael brown. I'm not in total agreement with the cops version of the story, but I don't defend Brown. Re: Freddie Gray, from only what we learn from the news, this seems like a horrible decision. I don't know all the facts, but it would seem someone needs to be held accountable for this man's death. The riots are a much deeper issue, riots on their own are wrong, fighting back decades of racial injustice with no end in sight can cause an unfortunate reaction. At the time of the riots, I said, I don't like it, but I can see their point. therefore, he deserved to die.
  6. not rogue, just a black cop. Yes , of course , not as often as white cops. Are you really that out of touch?
  7. why was the word , victim, in quotes. Do you question that he was a victim? Was his death by a broken back and lack of medical care a reasonable outcome of the situation and he deserved to die. Let's be clear, it's almost always white cops.
  8. my view is that cops, regardless of color, have killed black citizens unlawfully and gotten away with it, as it looks like it will be in this case. Cops seems to get away with a lot.
  9. so what. A good cop wouldn't do anything illegal so there shouldn't be anything to report. Not news.
  10. Is this really so foreign to you. Do you not pay attention to the news? Your last sentence doesn't seem to follow what you previously said, but i think i get your point. No, i've never said f-off to a cop.I've never had a confrontation with one and try hard to avoid cops at all costs. I don't feel they are all bad, but I'm not willing to risk it.
  11. odds are, yes. maybe not ok, but probably not dead. give it a shot, let us know what happens.
  12. I would love to be there when you tell the cops to f-off. I hope for your sake you aren't black. That won't end well.
  13. I would say most people hate the police that are on such power trips that they have no problem killing who they wish to. I would like cops more if perhaps a few of them might be decent enough to say that the bad ones are indeed, bad. But that would take courage without a gun to help be courageous. And yes, If i need a cop, I will call, in the hopes that I don't get one that feels that they are judge , jury and executioner. And btw, I hate lawyers, even when I need one. I just plug my nose when dealing with them.
  14. Not that I'm expecting this at Bills games, but as we've seen, cops have killed for much less than that. Usually black people.
  15. How do you know they are hard working? I'll ignore the rest of your post, as we all should.
  16. the team was prepped, they just screwed it up. And it a forward lateral.
  17. Or they might be better, right?
  18. Never fire Chuck Knox- to me that is the biggest mistake Ralph ever made, and he made a lot of them.
  19. For all those who use this poll to support keeping the Washington nickname, if the poll were reversed, would you support a name change as fervently as you support keeping the name?
  20. When I attended St Bonaventure in the 80's, the team mascot had full headdress, the usual indian look that we saw on mascots. Eventually, the got rid of the mascot, and made the logo a more traditional looking Native American. All done with respect and no fanfare. It can be done.
  21. Well done. The problem is that most people don't care if they offend any group of people, and many seem to enjoy offending others(Trump).
  22. The logo of Chief Wahoo is offensive for the Cleveland Indians . The Bill/Bills comment is just plain stupid so we'll just ignore that one.
  23. I think you need to read the article over, and a little more carefully. There’s a new defensive coordinator upcoming in Dennis Allen, and we all saw what happened last time the team made a change in that area. The Saints went from the NFL’s worst defense in 2012 to a top-five unit when Rob Ryan replaced Steve Spagnuolo.
