Why does everyone assume a 1 game suspension? The NFL gets a lot of grief for going 'light' on domestic violence suspensions. I'm guessing if the accusation is true, it's more than 1 game.

I did say "if he's ready" - I'm guessing he will be able to train a few weeks before playing in games. He'll likely rotate like most of the DL does. Maybe a bit more early on.

Maybe the coaches didn't think he was good enough. Everyone just annointed him as the replacement for Mario, and it just seemed odd to me. Even with Mario's crap season last year, to think Lawson would just be given the job as a suitable replacement never made any sense to me. And I like Lawson, he's a decent player. I'd have to think that's probably not the case.

Unless the coaches see this differently than you do. And you really can't say he was our starter, since he wasn't.
