  1. The HOF has a special section to recognize those that played in other leagues, like the USFL... it's located near the bathroom I think.
  2. let's not forget the interception that Warner threw at halftime that went for a 99 yard touchdown for Pittsburgh.
  3. Does that confuse you? Do you think WFL, USFL performances should be taken into account and do you know if they ever are?
  4. I have no doubt there are valid arguments all around on warner, but to take into his account his NFLE and Arena stats would be ridiculous. Arena league is not the same game and NFLE, while being the same game is not the quality of the NFL. If you want to base his induction solely on his NFL career, I may not totally agree, but it's a valid argument. totally disagree. Do we start to talk about a poor upbringing, no money to afford eqiupment.... mom or dad working multiple jobs just to afford football.... It's based on the NFL, nothing else should be taken into account.
  5. I don't know. He had a few exceptional years, many very mediocre seasons. He's borderline. His arena football and NFL Europe stints shouldn't have anything to do with case for the Hall. The voters only looked at his success. Without researching I can't imagine a QB in the HOF that had as many poor seasons as he did.
  6. I hope he knows enough not to use Rex's system.
  7. What is really comes down to, that save for a few decent articles every couple of years, the reporters are absolutely useless. They rarely offer exclusive insight, rarely ask intelligent questions, they shed little or no light on the games or the organization that we can't gather ourselves from paying attention. Anyone of us on this site can do what they do. There is very little reason to read them, except for the fact it's about our team and we read everything, regardless of it's value.
  8. local radio sports guy here in Phoenix. Originally from Buffalo. Don't you ever get tired of typing the same thing over and over. We all know where you stand on Taylor. At least try to get a little creative.... 2nd from the bottom in passing, 15/16th's in passing????
  9. Lynch will be starting with a much more inferior roster than Elway did. He definitely has a difficult job ahead of him, a seasoned GM would have a difficult task in SF.
  10. Good coaching makes a difference.
  11. I disagree, inside the box still works, just make the right hire. Expertise and experience are still good things.
  12. not really, but it's not important. Just interesting conversation.
  13. it's one thing to criticize Cutler, now St. Jim?.... you're gonna get some heat for that.
  14. So when Kelly missed the Houston comeback game with strained ligaments in his knee, was that poor leadership on his part? He should have played.
  15. Maybe, but you can't qualify that. You really don't know. that's all I'm saying.
  16. I'm not fan of Cutler, I think it's ridiculous to criticize for this, there are many other valid reasons to not want cutler as your QB. I'm glad you understand that you are not being fair. Read about his teammates and coaches supporting him. Lovie Smith even said it was his decision to sit him. Urlacher defends Cutler too. None of that has anything to do with Cutler and his injury. I am no fan of cutler at all, I just get frustrated when people speak so strongly with no real knowledge of what really happened. And you have no idea of the extent of the injury.
  17. I'm sure he will continue to get the ball to McCoy and Gilislee as much as possible. I'm sure if TT is here, he will utilize him as a runner at times. I'm sure he will emphasize not turning the ball over. I hope he works on our passing game and it looks more like the Seahawks game.
  18. It was a sprained MCL. Not a minor injury.
  19. His performance against SD in the playoff game with the severally injured ankle was probably his finest hour. If only Charlie Romes picked that Fouts pass off....
  20. and 3 of those Pro Bowlers are in the Hall of Fame. Not too shabby an offense, was it? Oh, and Keith McKeller and Kenny Davis too.
  21. He had skills, but rarely took advantage of those skills. He made the most bonehead plays at the most critical times. I've said this many times on here, Jay Cutler is Fergie cloned. For fans too young to have seen him play, just watch Cutler. It's amazing. Super talented, mentally just doesn't have the fortitude and makes horrible decisions.
  22. Sad is an understatement. Fergie had great talent around him. OJ, Cribbs, Butler, Frank Lewis, Chandler and one of the best O lines of that era. He wasn't very good.
  23. Based on what, the fact that he keeps coming back after injuries? Or the fact that he's still playing football and he'll be playing next season as well.
  24. Rutledge, Hostettler.... whatever
  25. Both teams have FG kickers that can make it easily from 47 yards. Biggest difference between this and XXV. Kelly running the ball a couple times is what cost us all that precious time.
