  1. I understand, what I'm asking is , if you were the GM speaking with Whaley, would you trade your first rounder for Taylor?
  2. would you give up a first rounder for him?
  3. For all the criticism Shanahan has rec'd for his play calling, I'm still shocked that he's not getting more. This is the most blatant error in play calling I've ever seen. In any regular season game, you would have seen the blue line at the 35 yard line as the 'to go to' line for a FG attempt. All the strategy for that last drive would be to get in field goal range to make it an 11 point game. I'm still in utter shock over this. Falcons fans will never get over it.
  4. I'm thinking people do take advantage of those things in theirs cities, for many, that's why they choose to live there. People may choose to stay in Buffalo partly because of the sports. People live in bigger cities because of other options. I live in Phoenix, I'm always amazed at the activity all around, not just with sports. Every city is different, it's not a big deal.
  5. It's kinda true though. Bigger cities have more diversity in their activities do to around town. Just a fact of life, nothing to be ashamed about.
  6. It starts with Brady, winning so early in his career allowed the team a chance to focus on building a solid organization and they done that almost to perfection. They've never put themselves in a position for a major rebuild, they've done what teams dream of doing, release players a year too soon instead of a year too late. They game plan brilliantly, they rarely make mistakes. They are in a position, mainly because of Brady's ability, to bench a player if he fumbles or drops a pass.... it won't hurt the team because of Brady. It's really fascinating to watch. They seem to have a specific plan for their roster which they've stuck with that allows them to plug new players in without disrupting the schemes. Great coaching and QB to start with, great team management after. It's frustrating for us but they're a remarkable dynasty. Dynasty's aren't supposed to happen in the free agent era.
  7. Buffalo goes crazy when a donut shop opens up, very easily excited.
  8. Very childish.
  9. there are so many times that when fans question play calling, there are 2 valid sides to the argument, the coaches and the fans. It's just mindboggling that i think Shanahan was probably the only person watching the game that didn't think running the ball 3 times into the line was the smart(only) move. I still can't fathom that logic.
  10. that's just crazy talk. I think it further cements his legacy as the greatest modern day QB. It's uncanny how he always delivers in the clutch. He's better than Montana in my opinion. Part of that comes from watching Montana's skills deteriorate at the end of his career, which happens to everyone eventually, but hasn't happened to Brady yet. It will be interesting if we ever get to see him play with diminished skills.
  11. Easy, we watch him play. I would have bet everything I own on Brady going right down the field and scoring the final drive of the 4th and opening drive of OT. I'm sure I'm not alone in that type of thinking. How many QB's in history would you expect that from. In my lifetime, maybe Montana, but that's it.
  12. After Julio Jones great catch, that put them at the 22. Could have knelt on the ball 3 times and had a 40 yarder.
  13. And Matt Bryant is an excellent kicker, and we're looking at a 41 yard attempt. Falcon fans must be beside themselves today...
  14. There can be no rational explanation as to why they didn't run and go for the FG. None at all.
  15. why is that even relevant. It's a ridiculous price to pay, even at $2000.
  16. But it was exciting, if it was a blowout, the same people would be complaining about the league. You want to be entertained? you were.
  17. The game went to OT, it was a competitive game, even though the falcons blew it. Makes no sense at all. The brilliant Kyle Shanahan
  18. average ticket price was over $6000 for the game. Even if that's down, it's still a lot.
  19. It was a real exciting game, would a blowout during a championship game mean the league is great and not a joke? I don't follow.
  20. I don't think Namath deserves to be in. Never saw Mazeroski play, but from what I hear, he was an exceptional defensive 2B. That usually doesn't count for much, but it should.
  21. Warfield is in, do you think Carmichael and Pearson should also be in?
  22. Maybe neither player should be in. Maybe having a positive public image helps.
  23. Yeah, Swann shouldn't be in.
  24. He's had a few awesome seasons, but I guess part of the argument is , do you ignore the many mediocre/poor seasons he had? Some do and some don't. Simple as that , I think. Nobody is disputing his on the field achievements.
  25. lot of people had jobs before making the nfl. big deal.
