Benford, Bernard & Shakir will all be FA after 2025 season. Likelihood that all 3 get signed to extensions?
A case could be made for keeping all of them in the fold.
Probably a huge no brainer.

Maybe if they didn't win the last 2 super bowls, I might believe that.
Not no way, they're still a scary team to face.

The national media tried to will it into existence before the season. Luckily the Bills said F that.
Beane said it was a transition year. Nothing to do with the national media, we lost many key players this past offseason.
The window with the 'core' is closed, but a different window opened.

For everyone crying about Romo and Nance...just turn the TV down. I rarely pay attention to the nonsense and I am in a much better place. Oh and beer. That helps too
Some people want to get upset. I couldn't tell you one thing they said.
It's background noise.
Fans need to get over themselves.

He got massively overpaid, which is probably all he cares about.
Should he have turned down the offer? Bills weren't going to pay him. He likely cares about playing NFL football too.

Anthony Munoz ... no question about it ... period ... end of story. He is the Gold Standard. I actually just saw / heard him do a Private Speaking engagement at a work related convention last month. Truly fascinating. His collegiate career was marred by injuries, and he was still drafted 5th overall in his class. Was ranked the 12th best player in NFL history. Boselli was dominant ... but Munoz was SPECIAL! He OWNED Bruce Smith in his prime
Bruce had 2 sacks in the first qtr against Munoz in the 1989 playoff game.
He also had a 3rd sack in the first qtr taken away by a phantom facemask penalty.
Then, Bruce got hurt and was ineffective. But until the injury, Smith made Munoz look like a HS tackle.

I heard you the first 2 times.
All 3 times you posted are equally dumb.
Whether I played football or not is irrelevant to me thinking that tackling is not a lost art. It happens hundreds of times every Sunday and most players are pretty good at it.

Moving him to safety would be better than taking him off the field. Again this was with the premise that McD would play some 4-3 at times with Milano back. He tried it against Baltimore for a few plays with Morrow and he got burned. My guess is he will stick to his nickel base.
Why even consider taking him off the field? That's as poor a decision as moving him to a different position would be.
And if you were to ever seriously consider a move like that, it should not be to get Williams on the field.

Would love to see that against Baltimore and the Chargers if we face them.
Move Taron to FS and put Hamlin on bench.
Move your All Pro nickle to another position? Why?
Makes no sense at all.

Williams isn't that good. We won't miss him when Milano returns.
Can't shed blockers, bad angles... he's decent, but too many shortcomings.

However the insistence on running the same plays on first down is developing a pattern. He better have his A game ready for the Chiefs defense.
Wasn't the first play of the game a pass to Samuel? That's not the same as usual.

Cooper Rush is 13/23 for 45 yards... 2.0 YPA... Dak may not be elite but his absence is showing how poor that offense really is.
How is that possible?

Look....I get it. They see these guys day in and day out and we don't so we can't see for ourselves what is happening in practice. But, I just don't understand why Hamler can't get a shot. A guy like Shavers gets called up multiple times and I am not sure he has made more than 1 or 2 catches for us. I actually can't think of any off the top of my head. Hamler, although he has battled through a ton of injuries, was at one point a 2nd round pick, showed that, when healthy anyways, that he could make plays in this league. He offers elite speed that is lacking on this team as well.
Now do I expect any of these guys to have any type of a major impact on this team or in this game, including Hamler? No. I don't. But I guess I would like to see a different element in the offense to see what it looks like. I wouldn't be even bringing this up if we were getting anything of note from Samuel, but when we are lining up with Shakir and Hollins as our 2 top WRs, I am more apt to want to swing for the fences with a guy we haven't seen that does at least offer something different. Whatever, though. Like I said, they see these guys every day and know what they offer. There must be a reason they like Shavers better even though he hasn't offered much on the field. I am guessing it's probably that Shavers is a better blocker in the run game, but call me crazy, I'd like my WRs to catch the ball once in a while as well.
But hey, that's just me. I was completely expecting this to happen, so it's not a surprise at all.
You answered your own question in your opening sentence.
You(we) have no idea what goes on in practice and what the coaches see.

The first part is quite the walk back from "debunked" to " no intuitive reason", you claimed the first. As for officials I would argue baseball officials are the best in pro sports, so that would be a mark in full time column. Secondly I have seen many times where officials are 20 yards away throwing flags, the only one I actually remember is from like 2012 vs the Rams where we had a pick 6 called back against us by an official who was about 40 yards behind the play and the call was literally without any contact to the player.
Umpires work from Feb through October, they are full time because the season can be up to 9 months long. They stink overall. The umpiring during the world series was terrible. And the umps have it great. First class flights , per diems, great salary, vacations during the season... and they still miss obvious calls at first base.

It seems like bad calls by NFL officials become a bigger story every year. Far too many big games are decided by awful calls and non-calls, and it's diminishing the product and alienating the fans.
In my estimation, the biggest problem is that the NFL absolutely refuses to have full time officials. For a sport this big, which makes this much money, and which sees so much money wagered on it by the betting public, to NOT have full time officials, seems inexcusable to me.
There is also no real accountability for egregious mistakes, and there needs to be.
I think the Tweet below proposes some logical solutions, but I'd love to hear everyone else's opinions on it, because I'm sick to death of this god awful officiating week in and week out.
How will having the refs 'full time' change much? What will they be doing in March? April?
I don't know how that will make them much better. There are very good officials that are not full time, so it can be done. Just need to find the good ones and get rid of the bad ones.

Everyone seems to think that the great 61 yard field goal solves what was a major problem. Sorry, but no, Bass is still a huge question mark, and could be a fatal flaw in the playoffs. Prior to that great kick, he missed an extra point. Then clanked ANOTHER extra point off the post. After the extra point he barely made, he mishit his kickoff, allowing a return at the worst possible time. So three consecutive shaky kicks, then one spectacular kick, and problem solved? I don’t think so.
You don't know what everyone thinks.
He's not a problem but a worry, like kickers always are.

He's just there to go in motion. I wonder if the defense pays any attention to him?

I asked my son if Keon was held and he said the refs wouldn’t call the PI and give us a win.
Crappy, but true. It did take a disgusting play by poyer to keep the drive going. Should have been a PI called and maybe he pulls up and doesn’t hurt Keon.
That was not PI
14 minutes ago, ProcessImproverMan said:Too blatant of a dirty hit to not call.
We saw the refs invent holding to take away 7 legitimate points from us. Refs didn't throw the flag when Coleman was factually held by the Dolphins defender there (was at the game and saw it - sat on that sideline ). They waited until Coleman was killed by a dirty hit. No stupidity by Poyer and we are punting with the Dolphins getting away with a factual hold on Coleman (based on rule book and standard of what holding was in that game)
Ridiculous. They waited until Coleman was hit? Stop whining, the league is not out to get the Bills, that's just plain stupid to think that.

We knew what agenda the league had with those two first half bs holding calls.
Only reason we got the flag at the end was Poyers hit was too blatant. The other Dolphins defender technically held Coleman's jersey at the collar from behind and got away with it so refs were looking for a way to not call something but Poyer bailed us out.
So the league had an agenda to stop us, but called a penalty on the dolphins which became the most critical call of the game.
Yeah, right.

NFL is so broken.
Branch took about 3 steps after the incomplete pass before he hit him. I'm wondering if that was the reason.
