  1. Please don't trade Glenn. His return has really solidified the O-Line. Even the right side of the line is greatly improved.
  2. A fairly competitive game between two top teams?
  3. that 6th round pick is getting run over already
  4. Woods was just signed to an extension. You're probably right on everyone else. I think next year will be a difficult season. From now til the start of training camp, there will be a huge turnover on this team.
  5. Wouldn't give it a 2nd thought. With all the other likely purges- the cap won't be an issue. Alexander could work in the community all he wants, we don't need to pay him a couple million in order to do that. His community presence means nothing on the field. He'll be 35 next season, makes no sense to keep him. Gonna have a lot of rookies on the squad next season. Growing pains.
  6. Alexander has had 1 good season out of , what, 11? I was surprised they signed him to come back this season. He's a career special teams player. All the planets aligned for him last season, shouldn't have expected that to happen again. I wouldn't be surprised if you were right about every player on your list. Hughes may have a good chance of sticking around though. No matter how this team performs this season, expect a totally different squad next year. Lot of new faces.
  7. I don't know. But I know if we win tomorrow we are in first place. That's one of the steps needed to get there. It's nice freeing up cap space and i'm not totally against the trade, just the timing. it seems like we are trying to win now, but also sacrificing the present for the future. A bit of a contradiction.
  8. Exactly, and I want to win this year.
  9. I'm not concerned about anyone's 'conversation' we are in a battle for first place in our division...I'm not against trading Dareus, I'm just concerned that we are hurting our chances for this season. I'm also concerned that we will trade Glenn next and that would be an enormous blow. I understand what managements plan is, it's just really strange to see it acted upon like it has this season. Big trades before opening day, during the season.... this happens in baseball and hockey when a team is out of contention, we are in contention. It's uncharted territory and a bit uncomfortable.
  10. This is my concern as well. We seem to be a weaker team compared to yesterday. We are in the thick of a playoff race. It's concerning.
  11. We don't have to pay his salary anymore, we just have a dead money cap hit for this year and next. No money paid out, just a cap hit.
  12. I guess we have a different definition of lunch pail- I think LT was a superstar, lunch pail is used by buffalo fans to describe someone without much talent. Not sure you comprehended what I wrote.
  13. Maybe hungry, but let's wait a few more weeks before declaring them overachieving. The schedule gets tougher and our depth will be tested. Also, not sure if Glenn is next to go. If so, the season is over.
  14. LT was not 'lunch pail' whatever the heck that means. Hoestetler was hardly a scrub. Led the Raiders to the playoffs and nearly beat us again in Buffalo.
  15. This was a salary dump and nothing more. I understand the logic, but I still think we are a better team with him than without , this season, while battling for a playoff spot.
  16. Addition by subtraction is the only optimistic way of looking at this deal because we didn't receive any thing of any real value for Dareus.
  17. but with who and when. We are in the middle of a playoff race right now.
  18. Agree I understand the logic, the process... but we are in a battle for playoff spot and this doesn't help our team. IMO.
  19. let's not forget if they trade glenn and let Incognito go, also we need a right guard as well. Probably a replacement for McCoy too. Lot of new faces next year, I think however this season ends up, we will have a huge roster turnover next year.
  20. and what about those missing 10 minutes?
  21. Glenn, McCoy and Incognito might be gone as well next season
  22. The problem is ,referring to my employees, is that they had nobody to teach them how to fish, now they are in their 20's, 30's .... and don't know the basics of getting through life. And then they have kids, and they don't know how to teach them properly either. It's a cruel cycle. We've pulled aside some employees over the years and tried to 'teach them how to fish', but there are too many. And it's getting tougher on these people, not easier.
  23. Now if this was another Houston football owner of the past - Bud Adams, now that would be interesting. What a piece of work he was.
  24. It just seems to me a way to demean the players. It's not that important. More like a pet peeve for me.
