    Why mess with a good thing of you don't have to? Unless we get Hendrickson, there's no player out there that we break the bank on. We'd have plenty of money for Cook. This is about winning it all next season.

    2 foot injuries, 2 concusions and a groin tear. Will those injuries lead to others, or was it just bad luck?

    And in year 3, the percentage of cap space for this contract will be down from what it is today.

    All of those players were on division winning teams with the Bills. Won playoff games as well.

    Without even seeing him play, yes, he is likely head and shoulders above almost every 3rd or 4th rounder. Most of those guys won't last enough to finish their rookie deal let alone secure a 2nd contract.

    Beane wasn't going to spend big on a WR, we need to focus the money on defense.

    But you're ignoring the fact that Garrett had 2 years remaining on his contract and Cleveland refused to trade him. He was in a corner.

    Of Cleveland fixed their qb issue, they're probably considered a contender. Strong defense, strong oline... Also, you can criticize Garrett for changing his tune, but he had 2 years left on his contract, the Browns said they weren't going to trade him. What should he have done?

    If we sign him, we have the dead cap and his new deal, right? If that's the case, should have just kept him.

    Cook has a year left on his rookie deal, giving him a 4 year extension $60 million, I'm sure we can go the next two seasons with minimal cap hit, he gets his money and we don't get the big cap hit for a few more seasons, when the cap has increased by about 50 million. I think this isn't a difficult contract to are on. I also think Cook has superstar skills. We need to keep him.

    The Browns said they weren't going to trade him, he was still under contract. What did you want him to do,, hold out for the next 2 seasons and become a free agent then?
