  1. To the point about 20% of the NFL being UDFAs; counting 53 man roster and PS,the league needs app. 2000 players in a season. Rosters have gotten larger over the years....the draft has shrunk, most recently, from 12 to 7 rounds. So,there is a need for UDFAs ,purely from a numbers perspective. I dont necessarily view that as a function of parity.
  2. He will be a free agent after this season. You would have to trade him BEFORE that
  3. And Yeldon Shady would probably need 15,16 carries per game to reach 1000 yards. I think can still by dynamic, in limited use.
  4. Sills has to actually make the 53 ,first
  5. Like changing the name will fool Anyone?
  6. I personally want what is best for the TEAM. I dont care whether whether they went to UB...I don't care they were a 13 year old QB prodigy...every year, some fans get worked up with man crushes on certain late round picks or UDFA:Reilly,Proehl,Sills...maybe someday they will become a major contributor
  7. Signed thru 2020; his cap hit is about 9 million this year, and the DEAD cap hit is about 6. i hope Bills get their money's sorth.
  8. ...Favre also tnrew over 500TDs.. 62% completion,3.3% int rate
  9. Way too long to read completely...but I did notice the statement about keeping a rookie for 10 years . Wishful thinking with no guarantee. Rookie contracts are only 4,possibly 5 years. And 10 years is an exceptional career.
  10. ...are nicknames necessary?
  11. Kelso was knowledgeable and analytical...but WAY too "wordy". Wish he would been have more "conversational". Got in Murph's way
  12. This is ridiculous and somebody is either high or bored
  13. So, you seem to contradict yourself; You 'want to find the best nutritionist in the league"...why wouldn't you be willing to pay more for that person? its called 'free enterprise' and rewards the person with talent and work ethic. Personally, I'm tired of all the whining about the Patriots. LEARN from them
  14. Does anyone actually know the contract details yet? I doubt it is guaranteed for all 3 years, probably a way to spread out a signing bonus.
  15. It is so easy to CREATE MORE roster spots this time of year. It's not an issue
  16. "Tweener"? At 255?
  17. I'm not convinced Fisher makes the full transition to TE and he has had some injury issues. he has TWO catches as a tackle-eligible. Smith has 50+(but just a 7 yard average). Fisher was a mediocre tackle, so blocking experience doesnt necessarioly translate into becoming a good tight end.
  18. McKenzie WAS here last year. I think the big improvement is overall depth, and hopefully wont be running so many young guys out there after somebody gets hurt. Now, we have more experience backups and I assume fewer rookies make the 53
  19. Just remember; a player is cut and becomes a free agent before he can be signed to the PS; you dont just automatically move them over there. Makes for interesting decisions if you dont want to run the risk of losing a player you like. PS changes often, depending on the condition and ability of your active roster.
  20. Allen completed app 53% of his passes, or, about 16-30. 2 additional completions per game would raise that to a slightly more acceptable 60%. Flipping the TD -INT ratio to a +.....sustaining drives.,and, the improvement expected from the offensive additions...I 'expect' the passing game to be more productive. Overall, with the RB depth, I think the offense will be a bit conservative, with the THREAT of the Big Play. 20-24 TDs - 12-16 INT's, 3200 yards would be a step in the right direction.
  21. Roberts has like 250 catches in his career so he is a guy with receiving ability I think it is too early to give Sills a roster spot
  22. had some injuries and didnt do much in the way of stats. but he has played special teams and has good size.
  23. You dont just "leave" a player on the Practice Squad; you have to cut them first, which makes them available for another team to sign. If Jackson plays well, do Bills take that risk?
  24. Roberts has recently been mostly a KR/PR but had several 50,60 catch seasons. something like 260 career receptions
  25. Kyle was 35,Oliver is ,what 21 22? Might move him outside at times, too
