Yes,I liked what he did this summer, but he would never play unless there were injuries.
Looks like Singletary, Moss ,Cook and....Jones? I personally would be good with Blackshear taking over for Jones.
Right. I didn't day WHEN Bills would sign a punter but I assume it will after 4pm today.
A veteran punter should be fine within a week and the Bills will have a number to check out.
I like that Berry is 4 or 5 years younger.
Would Beane pay what Martin wants? He got released over salary so I wonder how much Bills would invest in a punter.
They don't "have" to sign a punter, but they will.
Per NFL rules they DO have to get down to 53 by tomorrow, punter or not. Most of us assume they will sign a punter.
I don't know about "practice squad bonuses "....the minimum PS salary for a veteran is $207,000. It counts against the cap. However, I think a team can pay whatever they want which is attractive to the players and might scare off a team thinking about poaching a player from a PS.
When will he ever be asked to punt again? It was cool of him to punt, but that doesnt make him a better QUARTERBACK.
I assume you are kidding but I admire his effort.
And,I thought teams are allowed to pay MORE than the PS minimum.
I like to think that professionals can function during an issue that they aren't personally involved in.
If the team played flat in the Carolina game because of the Araiza case, we have a problem.
I never worry about our "cuts" getting signed by other teams. If they aren't good enough to make the Bills 53,well,good luck to them.
By Tuesday ,there will be another 800 free agents out there and the Bills will be shopping, too.
There won't be a lot of money available THIS year, and as others have pointed out,he will be another year older in 2023 and NOBODY pays a safety tandem like the Bills would be.
I don't believe making POYER happy erases the stink of the Araiza scandal. There is no logical correlation.
Bills need to "examine" THEMSELVES and their process to figure out how tney got to this point.
