  1. No worries, Sorry I didn't have what you needed. But, the SL100 just got spoken for. If anyone wants the S50 ...just pm me.
  2. I have: Model: Sirius S50-Tk1R - Like New Condition, hardly used (really) Remote Control Ear Buds Car Kit (with Vehicle Cradle, Cigarette Lighter Adapter, Antenna, FM Antenna) AC Adapter (Model AU505D) SMB to USB Cable (for connection to PC or AC Adapter) Original Software and booklet (this one was mine. I hardly ever used it... just on occasion on the road to listen to Bills games. Got an ipod about 2 rs ago and couldn't see keeping the service just to listen to bad Bills football.) Model: Sirius SL100 - (Excellent Condition, only minor scuffs) With Standard Battery (SLEB1) and Slim battery (SLSB1) Remote Control Ear Buds Car Kit (with Vehicle Cradle, Cigarette Lighter Adapter, Antenna, FM Antenna) (Vehice Mounts used) USB Cable (for connection to PC) Stiletto 100 Antenna Headphones Stiletto 100 Armband and Case (this one was the wifes, she used it quite a bit but then a year and a half ago got a new car that came with satellite radio pre-installed and hasn't used it since) At one point in time, I had thoughts of selling them on ebay, but never signed up for an account and all. So, they've been boxed up and sitting on my floor for a year or more. Now, I'll just be glad to know a fellow Bills fan is getting some use out of them.
  3. I have 2old sirius car radios ... still in good shape. If anyone wants them, let me know. I'll be glad to mail them just to see them put to use. Dan
  4. Problem is ... if you read/watch anything about the Bills, few in the "media" have such an all consuming negative opinion of the Bills' offiense. Stevie, for example, is widely regarded as an up and coming star in the league. What I read more than anything from the media is very positive about the Bills' offense, usually with the caveat of ..if they stay healthy. So, in most every respect, the OP was very much pulling stuff from who knows where in a vain effort to either make a point that doesn't exist or rile up enough posters to get responses. Seems to have worked... on both accounts.
  5. You're quickly becoming one of my favorite posters. Injecting rational, factual posts into dribble threads like this needs to be done more! Thank you.
  6. I completely agree with you. Fitz still has a long way to go, but he's definitely shown enough to have a little leeway. IMO, he's got this season. If he improves his accuracy and, consequently, his consistency while leading this team to a winning record and possible playoff run; then he's doing what he needs to. But, if he plays like he ended last season during the course of the full seaon (not a game or 2), then he's clearly not the guy and needs to be replaced.
  7. Perhaps... but only by knee jerk fans and sportswriters looking to create contrroversy. A rationale knowledgeable person understands that every person, every player has good days and bad days. To pull Fitz and completely revamp the offense and team chemistry because he "buckles even the slightest" would be the assinine. Few QBs or players ever succeed when they're under that kind of pressure every week.
  8. I agree with what you're saying, to some degree. However, you have to think about it another way... what would you rather have Fitz do? We all know that accuracy has been a big flaw in Fitz's game. And most any fan of the Bills has some measure of skeptisicm towards him becoming the guy because of this accuracy issue. So, he's gotta work on it. He knows it. His coaches know it. We all know it. And there's only one way he can improve his accuracy - improve his mechanics. So, he and the coaches have to do this and with all hope, his game will begin to improve because of it. I just wouldn't expect him to become Drew Brees over night, that's all. Its kinda like bringing in Mario Williams. We had to improve our pass rush, so they did the right thing and brought in the best FA pass rusher out there. But, there's no guarantee that he'll immediately get bunches of sacks and improve our D. But, you gotta try. That's what the FO did there. And that's what the coaches are doing with Fitz. In some sense, you could say they're all doing exactly what they should be doing... working every day to improve this team. Will it work? We'll see. But, I'd much rather see Fitz trying to do what we all knows he needs to do, than just blindly ignoring the biggest hole in his game.
  9. IMO, this is the first bad move by the FO this off season. VY is just not a solid backup kind of QB. His strength has always been his physical attributes, not his mental preparation. And a back up QB has to mentally prepare far more than anything else. Has VY ever shown that he can a strong locker room guy, support his team mates, and help the starter prepare? My other concern would be if he does come in, his strengths as a player are the complete opposite of Fitz. So, if Fitz goes down for a couple games, you have to remake the entire offense for VY. Chan even suggested he'd do as much. IMO, you want your backups to have similar skills and attributes as the starters. Then, when/if they come in... nothing changes for the 10 other guys on the field. So now, if VY relieves Fitz does everyone have to learn a very different offense? I just don't get this move at all. Yes, we needed a better back up than Thigpen. But, we didn't really sign a backup QB. We signed a potential headache that has shown little ability to be a quality backup. I'm not terribly concerned, but I certainly don't think we just solved our QB depth issue at all, either.
  10. ...and tonight..after a long week .. back home in Greenville, MS. So, check MS off the list. My parents were born and raised in Buffalo, but then my Dad got transferred around the country. So, I was raised in TN. (lived there till after college). From there... RI, NJ, NYC, and now MS (with a lot of travel).
  11. ...tonight ...it's now Colimbus, OH.
  12. ...tonight is Pittsburgh, PA.
  13. tonight its Little Rock
  14. With all due respect, no one here knows who you are... so how do they know you're not a liar? Point being; you and everyone else is fairly anonymous on an internet message board, if you're going to get insulted every time someone doubts you or has a little fun at your expense, you're probably in the wrong place. Two sentiments perhaps best sum up the last several pages... (1) Lighten up Francis, and (2) Its hard to post on the interwebs.
  15. Seems to me, most people are not discussing the most important quality of a back up QB. Its not stats, arm strength, win/loss record, leadership, etc. To be a successfull #2 QB, you need to be a student of the game. You want to have someone that prepares mentally every week to start, knows the playbook inside and out, gets along with all the players, and most importantly knows he's the backup. If you're looking for a back up that's a proven winner, wants one more shot to prove he can be the guy and can lead your team through half the season or more, then you're looking for a starter, IMO. Regarding VY, who really thinks he would ever put in the time to study and learn the offense if he knew he wasn't going to start. Shades of Billy Joe come to my mind.
  16. I would have to put WR at the top of the list. We addressed every hole on the team this off season... even kicker! However, the type of WR we needed just wasn't really available. So we went the other way, IMO, fast burner as opposed to big and able to out jump DBs. However, all of these addtions have yet to prove themselves on the field. So, obviously, there's still a fair number of question marks for the more cautious fans. Heck even the DLine, which should be stellar, still has to come together and gel on the field to be as good as they look on paper. My biggest concern, period, is the injury bug. If we can finally make it through the season without half the team on IR, then we have everything in place to be a playoff contending team. But, it seems like forever that we haven't been in the top five in terms of IR'd players. Just imagine last year if Jackson, Wood, Bell, 2or3 of the WRs, Chandler, Kyle, Merriman, and McGee all finished the season. This year we get all those players back, plus the addtions. If they all stay healthy, there's no reason to not see dramatic improvement in this team.
  17. If JW doesn't pick up what I considered fairly obvious sarcasm, he's not half the poster I thunk. So, no worries.
  18. Care to reveal your sources on this?? Otherwise, I'm calling it BS, sloopy reporting!
  19. I would suggest that your problem is ...expecting more starters from the draft. We got a couple solid defensive line starters in FA. Outside of the first round (which I think we got a starter there), and maybe 2nd, you should only expect day 1 starters if your current roster blows. I would contend that our roster going into the draft, did not completely blow. And finally, who would you have liked seen drafted that would be these multiple day 1 starters?
  20. The Bills defense has been horrendous for years! We've been unable to do anything with any consistency - stop 3rd and long, force turnovers, pressure the QB, stop the run. You name it. Quite honestly, slant patterns and pass caching TEs have been instant 1st down conversions for opposing offenses for so long, I've just given up thinking they could EVER be stopped. I truly hope this defense comes together. At this point, I'd settle for adequate.
  21. Didn't Painter come in after Collins was lost for the season?
  22. That's exactly how I see it! We have pretty well addressed every area of need in this off season (although, WR a little less so). But, if these picks pan out to be starters (in some cases) and decent depth (in others), this team going forward is completely rebuilt in 3 years. Obviously, it depends upon how these guys play, so I'm not calling it job complete. But what I like is Buddy is addressing the areas of need and doing it in a way that should work. In some respects, I would argue that that's all the GM can do. Now its up to the players and coaches to do their jobs. I am absolutely loving this draft and off season as a whole.
  23. Maybe I'm clueless... but I don't recall Jones ever looking like a legit #2. Its because of his drops, poor effort and injuries that we need a WR so badly now. Of all the WRs currently on the roster, he's the first one I'd like to see cut.
  24. Exactly. It always amazes me how people look at a draft and immediately draw direct conclusions of success. These guys are all rookies and it generally takes several years before any player can contribute consistently. The idea that you can re-make your offense in one off season with rookies is jsut ignoring the obvious. Quite honestly, if I were a Colts fan, my biggest worry would be who's going to block for Luck? He's going to struggle enough as it is being a rookie. Do you really want him running for his life on every down as well?
