  1. The last 2 weeks I've been unable to watch the game. 2 weeks ago I was in STX and without a tv. This past Sunday, I was driving a Uhaul to Chicago. And not only did we win, but we won convincingly. I'm sorry Bills nation. I've watched every game since I got Sunday Ticket in 2003 (I didn't get it this year because I had zero confidence in Rex's ability to be competent). We've sucked since then. I've gone through every possible permutation of lucky shirt/hat/food/game day ritual possible. Nothing has worked... Till now. Although, I have streamed the WGR broadcast both weeks.. So I'm not completely tuned out. It brings up an troubling delimma (I just watched the 4 falls of Buffalo), all I want is to watch our Bills in the Superbowl again. For my Mom, my sisters, my family, and all of us to experience that win. But, if they get there with me not watching... How can I watch the game? I can't can I. I'm just glad the Bills are winning, even if I haven't actually seen it. ...and everyone can rest easy this week. I'll be working in NH and unable to watch this Sunday as well.
  2. Script the first 15 plays so you don't have to call them in. But call them in anyway... The wrong plays! Then confirm everyone's suspicions when the cheaters are lining up to defend the wrong play. Anyone that thinks that team doesn't cheat is in serious denial and purposefully ignoring the reality of everything that has come out of that organization for 15 years.
  3. Is this the same guy that coached the Broncos to the bottom of their division while dumping all their decent players and cheating? http://www.denverpost.com/2015/01/27/patriots-josh-mcdaniels-admits-to-mistakes-when-broncos-coach/
  4. I'll accept the game ball for the day. After years of speculation, it has been confirmed. I'm bad luck. This was the first game in years I haven't watched. I'm sorry everyone for a decade + of futility, but I will not watch next week. Let's keep this thing rolling!
  5. Like many on here and most diehard fans I know... I watch less and less football every year. And for many of the same reasons we've all listed. The officiating is absurd and most games you turn off with the feeling the game was rigged. Why watch a rigged sport? All the coverage is for the same crappy big market teams. I'm so sick of seeing a bad Dallas team play a bad Giants team. Why watch that crap? Over saturation with games on Thursday which affects game plans and "fairness", Sunday night, and Monday. Extra MNF games. Used to be MNF was must watch because it was the only prime time game of the week, now you have at least 3 to choose from. Why watch games, especially when it's usually 2 teams you don't care about, that get forced down your tube every week, and the fix is in with blatantly bad officiating. Add in poor announcers, commercials every 2 minutes, and generally poor play ...and its just not that worth the time.
  6. Last year's excuse was that the QB threw the ball in 2 seconds. You can't sack a QB that fast. So this year it's gonna be they're playing a cover 2, no one can throw against that. When do we stop making excuses and just start palying football? Every team in the league throws deep, every game. Every team attempts to be a professional football team. The Bills, on the other hand, are professional excuse makers and take every opportunity to run for the bus. It's pathetic.
  7. Why do all Bills QBs play so scared and timid? I don't really care what the game plan is... at some point the QB has to throw the damn ball. Its beyond old watching every team in the league play football, while the Bills come out week after week and whine because the other team did so something they weren't ready for.
  8. Its been a long crappy year... All I want is a Bills win. Start the season right and make us all feel hope again! Go Bills!!
  9. I just see a young guy at the top of his game that's having fun. What's so bad about that? If he was a Bill, we'd all be lovin. It.
  10. I keep seeing this.... Why is Cam such an ass? What am I missing?
  11. At this point, with no significant changes to the FO or coaching staff, nothing really. I see more of the same. So we cut a few defensive players that didn't fit Rex's system and replace them with new ones? The new guys still have to learn a new, complex, rexy D. So then next year we get to hear about how it's gonna take time for all these new players to gel. Unless the offense matures and puts up 30+ points per game, we end up losing games because the defense can't stop anyone. Also let's not forget about the special teams, either. Not to mention, does anyone really think Rex is suddenly going to coach a disciplined team and pay attention to the details in game prepation and management? I certainly don't. The margin between winning and losing in the NFL is smaller than its ever been.... And Rex is still coaching like it's 2000. Unfortunately, I see more mediocrity from our team, no Sunday ticket for me, and football becoming less and less something worth keeping up with. 16 years and counting is becoming enough to break this fan's give a damn.
  12. Don't confuse effort with results. Their time to play hard and show what they're all made of is long gone in this season. But, I guess it'll be a great moral victory to see our guys playing hard to try and save their job for next season, when they can slack off again when it really counts.
  13. But isn't it on the coaching staff to put him in a position to play up to his abilities? What if he'sbeing asked to cover TEs out of the backfield, or to set the edge and not rush the passer? Is that what he's best at? So, sure, people say he should be getting constant pressure on the snaps he's asked to rush the passer? But that's putting your players in a position to fail. No one gets pressure on every single snap. Especially, when he's gassed because of the lack of substitutions and the fact that he's running around covering backs part of the time. The problem is the same problem we've seen for over a decade. Run good players out of town because crappy coaches can't figure out how to use them. A year ago, we had one of the best pass rushing defenses in the league. Now we have to retool the defense with new players, because the old players suddenly got bad. It's the very definition of treading water. We've all seen it many times over, and it's happening again. Personally, I'm not saying Mario is indispensable. Cut him, keep him. I honestly don't think it matters. As long as we just continue to rearrange the deck chairs, the real problems are being ignored.
  14. Let the rebuild begin! ....again. Maybe we can bring in more guys like IK and Muligan that buy into Rex's scheme. That's what we need!
  15. Send that to Pegula! Who needs a stinkin Czar?
  16. Exactly my thinking. And every bit as important as figurung out how he screwed the defense up. And, for me, the worst of it all was that we saw zero improvement over the course of the season. None. How anyone can have confidence that a couple of new players will suddenly make this a playoff team after the garbage coaching we saw this year is beyond me. I guess hope bleeds eternal Buffalo blue.
  17. I'd prefer the Bills to stop making low risk, high reward type moves trying to catch lightning in a bottle. These guys never pan out for long, and more often than not end up wasting a roster spot and valuable practice time. And when it gets a little tough out, their true colors always show through... and they get injured/quit/pout/fail/..lose. Wouldn't it be nice to just once have good, players that play hard every week and actually make great, game changing plays in clutch situations? Harvin is exactly the type of player you never want on your team. Because he's good enough to make you think he's gonna be good. But he never comes through for the team when he's needed the most.
  18. They couldn't bring batteries for the head sets. Enough said
  19. I'm sorry but this is another of those "moral victory" type posts. We're really not that bad, yada, yada. Bottom line, the Jets are 10-5 and playing for a WC playoff spot in the final week of the season. Our season ended in November. They're a better team. Plain and simple.
  20. You rock. It may have been a meh game to most of us. But, for that mom and her son, its a memory and game that will last a lifetime.
  21. IMO... if Rex stays they need to tell straight out that he has to fire Thomas and hire a real defensive coordinator and then he can focus on being a Head Coach. If he wants to be the DC, then fine, demote him and bring a real HC. But we need a real Head Coach. This team is a dysfunctional mess, undisciplined, soft, bad clock management, poor game plans, they even forget batteries for the damn headsets. We need a HC. Until they get one, nothing else matters. Personally, I don't think Rex is HC material.
  22. The entire organization is in full on excuse mode. Everyone has an excuse for the steaming pile of mess that had become our season. After 16 years, I'm tired of excuses. And at this point, I don't care what changes are made. No one associated with this team have proven they can win anything.
  23. When Rex was hired, I was hesitant. He said he had learned from his time in NY and would improve. I was hopeful. The next day (or so it seemed), he brought his entire staff from the Jets, like you said. I was immediately concerned and doubtful it would work. At this point, like so many people, I'm just trying to figure out how a supposedly smart coach could make so many mistakes doing what he's spent his whole life doing. It just defies logic how quickly the wheels fell off this wagon. I guess now we wait and see how bad it gets.
  24. I've read so much about the players, the coaches, the GM, and so on. We all sit here after yet another dismal year and pick this team apart, debating every position and person. Who needs to go? Who needs to fix it? Where the problem really is? But, for me, the real question is... Does anyone believe that there's a single person in the Bills' organization that can fix this team? We can all talk about which players suck and which don't. Everyone seems to have their favorites - EJ, McKelvin, Woods, etc. But are any of these players winners? Does anyone ever step up and make the play when it has to be made? Do any of them even care that they suck it up week after week? The coaches say they need players to learn their systems. But, does Roman have any idea what situational awareness means? Will we ever have a HC that focuses on details like game planning and getting batteries in a headset? Does every coach in the league just bring along their buddies and ignore the reality that's so apparent to all of us? And the FO... How can Whaley fix this mess? Didn't he just bring in the HC that dismantled the top 5 defense, so he can install his new scheme only to then claim we need new players to fit this new scheme? Why wouldn't they hire a HC who was committed to improving with the current high-priced players? I guess I've just lost all faith in this team. From the top down to the players... I don't think any of them have a clue and I certainly don't have any faith in any of them. So, cut them all, re-sign them, make a few moves, do whatever. I don't think any of it matters any more. They all suck, and not a single one of them seems competent enough to matter. This franchise can't burn it down and start all over - they suck at rebuilding. Suck for a good draft pick - great another 1st round average player. Get a new coach - when was the last tiem they hired a HC that could actually coach? I'm telling you... None of it matters.
  25. Unfortunately, there's more than one. Apparently really rich people can just buy more family and friends, so we should never have empathy for them.
