  1. Once again... A team is up on the Pats, late 2nd quarter. Moving the ball. Suddenly penalty, penalty, punt. Pats get the ball, pentalty, penalty, 1st and goal they score. How many of times have we all seen it. The league takes all momentum and drive from one team and gives it to the Pats. They then get on a roll and win. Sure they're good. Sure they got great coaches. Sure blah blah. How many games do they win when all the calls go against them? When was the last time even the majority of calls in a game went against them? Call it what you want, but the league has done more to help that team than any other team..ever. Period. I'll watch a This is Us marathon in 2 weeks before I watch them handed another win and glorified for cheating and bending every rule possible as the league glosses over the poor officiating. As you might imagine, I voted yes.
  2. Wow.... Regardless of how the Refs steal this game, I will say that this is exactly why so many people here need to be patient and give our current coaches and FO some time to build and develop. We were all too happy to see DM & NH leave town, and somewhere along the way...they figured it out and and are doing a good job in the Championship game.
  3. I'm sure it mattered to ..a lot.. of people considering the betting lines on the game. But I don't expect, nor want, coaches and players to check with Vegas to see if they should try to score one more time in a game.
  4. Moral is... When the game is essentially over and the other team runs off the field.. But the refs say you have to kick the extra point. Show some class, don't add insult to injury...take a knee and be decent in victory.
  5. I turned it off after the 4th and 5 ...give them a first down. And watched ..The Layover.. Horrific movie. But still better than watching a fixed football game.
  6. So what you're saying.... No way someone gets that open against the Pats unless theres a penalty. Throw the flag... Figure out what to call later.
  7. Text book PI and no call. Like we've all said here... You gotta play so well you beat the refs too. Miss that amazing one handed catch and they're kicking a FG and people are saying you gotta score TDs to win.
  8. I completely agree. I think we've all seen what Tyrod has... And he has been found to be lacking. With that said... He's still better than Peterman or a raw rookie. So you keep him on until you have a viable replacement. Perhaps that's a rookie you just drafted and feel can start day 1. Most that do suck however. Perhaps its a good FA pickup, but some of them may cost more than any rational team would want to pay. So... Untill I see who the new QB is, I'll reserve my sentiment that I'm glad Tyrod is gone. How many times have we said...just get rid of this one player/coach/whoever and we're a better team only to have that blow up in our face?
  9. In the history of histories has there ever been a coach hired that said... I have a system that I will install. I know it doesn't really fit the players, but they will have to figure it out because that's all I know how to do. They all say the right thing.. And then do what they've always done.
  10. This game was there for the taking. But the Bills failed to make any plays when they needed to. It was a team effort..... Too many dropped passes, missed throws, poorly timed holding penalties, dropped interceptions, bad play call for the situation. At some point... Good teams just need to make those plays. Today, we didn't.
  11. How many snow games have there been in Buffalo in the last several years? Tasker, who's played quite a bit of football in Buffalo, said it was the worst he's ever seen. Perhaps people are over reacting bit to the conditions? This is how football should be played. The elements should be part of the game. Yeah, speed andprecision may suffer, but strength, coaching, mental fortitude become part of the game. IMO, this was one of the most exciting games I've seen in years. The refs let the teams play for once and the players fought tough as hell for the full game. There was an element of the unknown to every kick, pass, or run. It was exciting and fun to watch. No way should any team have a dome.
  12. After all the butt whoopins and ending of our seasons, wouldn't it be nice to see the Bills play the Pats with this kind of intensity?
  13. I agree, the game was largely over. So it didn't help the Patriots at all. Nor would an extra 15yds have helped the Bills. It's more the principle of being a Bills fan and seeing this type of officiating every single time we play the Patriots. I was watching the game with my brother-in-law, a lifelong Broncos fan. He was in complete disbelief at the play and subsequent outcome. I just looked at him and said... Welcome to the Bills/Patriots rivalry. I've been seeing this going on 2 decades. The Patriot players treat our players with zero respect, the coaches show zero respect, the league show zero respect in how they officiate, our own players take the beat down in stride and congratulate the Patriots. They win, we lose. That's the way it is... And it's sickening to cheer for this team during this game twice every year, knowing that its going to happen.
  14. I totally agree with you. They should have went after him yesterday, if they were going to. I honestly don't think the Bills will; they're too resigned to being the Patriots bitches. Kinda like yesterday, even with that hit, I sat there wondering how the Bills were going to get the bigger penalty out if it. The league and the teams know the Bills are supposed to lose those games. And they all make sure it happens, in their own ways.
  15. What are they gonna do to the Bills? Take away draft picks that we squander any way? LOL We might not make the playoffs, if they punish the team.
  16. Without a real QB, none of the moves on or off the field matter.
  17. And I think we can ...all.. agree that we hope they're successful in the rebuild.
  18. So we all know the future of who would re-sign and who wouldn't? I do agree... They wanted alot of draft picks and they traded away most anyone they could to get it and reshape the roster in their image. It's one hell of a risky move, and one that is likely to take 3 years to see the results. I just think too many people are giving them credit for this great draft and the amazing future we're going to have. I'll be impressed when they field a team that can compete in the NFL every week and not put up 8 yards of offense in the third quarter, or whatever it ended up being.
  19. Sure. As others have suggested, the "loses" were due to the current FO getting rid of those players, the "unheralded" additions were hand picked as the replacements by the current FO. So, they dug their own hole. Now we should be impressed that they put the dirt back in it? Many people may have predicted or expected a 4-6 win season, but not me. But I guess I think differently. As I see it, if you're making the roster changes they made, they must think the new guys are much better than the old guys; so we should be better not worse than the previous year. So if we end up with the same record or a game better, why should I be impressed? Now... granted, I'm not saying the team is in disarray and McD needs to be replaced as some are. I am suggesting that for the good they did this season (5-2 start), there's also been a lot of bad. And much of that bad is self-inflicted (starting Nate when he was obviously not ready and costing us a win). So, I'm certainly not impressed. I get the argument that these players were bad and didn't buy into the process; therefore, they needed to go. But, at some point isn't it the coaches job to get players to buy in as opposed to just dumping them all if they don't immediately? In my opinion, and I know it doesn't mean much, but one of the reasons this franchise has mired in mediocrity is because we have a history of dumping good players simply because they don't like it here, while keeping lesser talented players because they buy in. As much as we need a franchise QB, we need a coach that can convince talented players to play hard each week ...for Buffalo. So, no I'm not impressed with anything the Bills have done this year. They avoided a full tank and gave us all some excitement and that is good. But, until all their moves translates into a team that can actually show up and look like a hard-hitting professional team capable of playing with anyone in the league... They're just rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. I guess I could have summed all that up and just said... I expected the Patriots to beat us by 4 scores yesterday. But, we only got beat by 3 scores... That's impressive.
  20. Exactly. They gutted the roster. So now we should think its good that they got their hand picked, lesser talented guys to perform as well as last year?
  21. No its not.
  22. It would appear he's not worried about those rods at all. The brace is large, extraneous, and now being used as a weapon.
  23. You cannot ignore the fact that this team needs him to make another run. And when have they ever been punished properly? I would suspect a $12,500 fine and a letter sent to all the teams saying they should not do anything like that. I'll add... The league should also make him take that brace off. He's not injured, and now he's using it as a weapon.
  24. That dirty hit was every bit as bad, if not worse, than anything Suh has done. And the result... The Bills get penalized! The coddling of that franchise by the NFL is sickening.
  25. Perhaps the most frustrating thing about the game was how predictable it is/was. It literally is like groundhog day. We all know the refs are going to make some highly suspect calls that hurt the Bills. I'm sick of the league and media and everyone ball washing that team. They can play with a complete disregard for the rules because they know, more often than not, they're not going to get called on it. I would like to see the Bills go old school Raiders on them in foxboro. Take matters into your own hands, penalties and fines be damned. If they're going to leave Brady in a blowout game, after you start cheapshotting our players... You damn sure should cheap shot his head on the next play. I like Tyrod, but he seems to put up games like this far too often. Did anyone genuinely think we could come back once we were down by 2 touchdowns? It's been nearly 3 full years, and I don't think we've ever seen him elevate his play to rise above the crappy play calling and crappy refs. For all his good... It just isn't good enough. Whether we move on next week or next season, I'm not sure it matters. I want to like McD , but he's making a lot of bad decisions. Milano is just one of them. Dennison was a huge one. I'd like to see him correct his mistakes more. But, I'm hopeful he will. I guess we'll see. The Bills have improved in a lot of ways...unfortunately the results are so far the same. He's good... Just not good enough.
