When the Dolphins had the lead, and all the momentum in the game, driving the bsll methodically on a 8+ minute drive to start the 2nd half... Tre makes an amazing play. Allen then walks out into the field at the 2 yard line. All he did was flip the script and drive 98 yards, and get the touchdown. Then get the 2pt conversion. At that point, everyone knew he was going to win the game. That.. is what Josh Allen brings to the game. We are all lucky he's on our team.

But don't we see this every year, almost every week? How many years have we all been saying that poor officiating is ruining the game? I mean... it is true. I rarely watch non-Bills games any more. I might watch a bit here and there, but can you really get invested in a game when you just absolutely know that the refs are going to do their best to ensure an upset doesn't happen? is it just lousy officials? Poor training on their part? Over complicated rules? Or game-fixing for the odds makers? I'm not sure. But, one thing I'm sure of... It's going to continue. The league is either unwilling or unable to correct it. What would I do? Get rid of Riveron, simplify the rules to make them more black and white, add a ref or 2 either on the field or in the box, and find the refs ..substantially.. for obviously blown calls (or just fire them). But that is one of the worst things in all this.. There is zero accountablity by the league or the refs when they practically gifted a win to Greenbay.

Completely agree.. I would love nothing more than to watch, relaxed in the 4th quarter as we're up by a couple of scores and stiffling the Dolphins all day. But, I'm just as good with a 14-3 win as I am a 30-7 win. Hopefully, a couple of the injured guys... Kroft and Singletary.. can get in the game and shake the rust off without really needing to do too much, as well.

We just need a win. All this talk of blowing them out and scoring big is just talk. A couple points to consider... We will play them again. Why show them the entire playbook? If you get a decent lead, why show any up coming team more than they need to see? Just win. Play solid and focused. Clean up the mistakes. Stay healthy. For the first time in a really, really long time, the Bills are in a game that they just ..should.. win. Don't lose focus, take care of business and just win. The we all get to move on to the next game. That's all we need to be worried about. That... And someone just beat the damn cheater team!

Week 7 Against Miami - Allen's First 300 Yard Game
Dan replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Honestly, I don't care what his stat line looks like. Just keep making good decisions and win. Josh is still very young and learning to play in this league. He's got 16 games under his belt and he was someone a lot of people said needed years to develop. IMO the coaches are doing everything right with him... developing him to be a well-rounded QB. We haven't seen this before... but part of that is developing game plans that don't require him to put up 300 yard passing games. It's a process ? He's developing into a solid, winning QB. That's all I want to see. -
Week 7 Against Miami - Allen's First 300 Yard Game

I don't give a crap about annofnthe stats... other than the number in the Win column. I say... don't take any team lightly and do what it takes to get a win. -
In our section... it was all Bills fans and about 5 Titan fans. Bills mafia definitely took over Nashville! It was truly unbelievable how many Bills fans were there. So much fun!

Actually.. I'm reading sparingly because. ..yeah.. People have gone off the deep end. I think they'd rather be 1-3 with a win last week than 3-1. Its a messed up mentality.

Good write up, as always. One thing I'd like to add regarding Zay Jones and the passes to him. We see that type of stuff every Sunday... QBs throw a pass to somone they shouldn't and the WR "goes up and makes a play". Then the announcers and ex-player pundits all rave on how you gotta give your guys a chance to make a play, and praise the QB for doing that. The only difference yesterday is... Zay did not out jump, out muscle, out play any one. He failed to make a play. And Josh is being vilified for throwing the passes. Yes, Josh needs to be better with his decisions. Yes, Josh needs to take what the defense gives him. But, just once, once... I'd like to see a Bills a receiver make a play for the guy. Wait I did... It was Knox on that crazy, falling down, ball behind him catch. He made the play, and made Josh look good. Zay just rarely does that. I hate to rag on Bills' players. But Zay needs to be moved well down the depth chart and surrendering playing time to someone that can make a play.

Why did we abandon the no-huddle offense?
Dan replied to gjv001's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wondered this as well. We saw a lot more of this in the Jets game as well, and it was working. They don't run the no huddle to confuse the defense, as much as to lock a favorable matchup on the field and most importantly it seems to give Josh time to scan the field and make better decisions with the ball. I was hoping they would have relied on it more in the second half. -
I agree with most of your comments, but I'm not so sure we have to wait till next year. We face them again and I don't think that's an automatic loss after seeing what they did yesterday. But, I agree, I'm waiting to see how they repsond next week. If they truly are contenders, turning the corner, they'll beat TN. Let's see how they handle a hard fought loss.

I woke up today with a similar feeling. Did anyone think we would be undefeated this season? Did anyone really think Josh was never going to have a bad game? It happens... and it'll happen again. So yeah we lost. We're still 3-1. And the way our drense looked, the way they made that team look, they can contend with anyone. They shut Brady down all afternoon. Yes Josh, and the entire offense, need to get their collective ****s together. We still need a lot of growth there. But, I don't think we're as far off as a lot of people here are making it out to be. They need to put this game behind them fast... this weekend we play a team trying to take a playoff spot from us. We need to go down to TN and get back on the winning track.

Completely agree with that. You have to capitalize because you know the league is gonna give them their shots later In the game. No doubt the Bills and Josh just made too many mistakes... but the league forces every team to be perfect when they play that team. -

And as usual, when the game is on the line. The calls go the other way. So in the end.. the numbers all average out. But the most critical game changing calls... clearly favor the team with goodell in their back pocket. -

If the Bills ever want to beat a team like the cheaters... they have to take the final step in the rebuild and get Pegula on the officiating committee. Because until the refs are on our side... we're never going to win games like this. -
We'll all talk about the cheap ***** hitnto take Allen out. And how we got screwed ..again. But how about that interception that the DB clearly bobbled, as he's being grabbed by say Jones who's out of bounds. That play lead to 3pts for the cheating team and should not have stood.

It is mind boggling how many critical plays the refs give that team. Crucial, game altering penalties always seem to benefit them.

Is there a Bills lot and tailgate for Nashville?
Dan replied to freester's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is one of my few Bills games! I don't get to many, for various reasons. But my folks got tickets for me and my girl. And meeting my sister and her husband... they live outside of Nashville. Planning for family time/ relax on Saturday..and game on Sunday. Should be a great weekend! Definitely saving this as my siste and I were wondering about a tailgate. -
The only time you don't defer, and get yhe ball to start the 2nd half is when there may be a wind advantage (or sun, depending on the stadium in the old days) if you can the wind at your back in the 4th. Otherwise... Always defer!

Oliver currently is #4 in DT Pass Rush Win Rate
Dan replied to syhuang's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And 3 games into his career, was Warren Sap the dominant player you think he was? Come on man... cut the kid some slack and let's let him have a season or two before we decide he's a wasted pick. -

So you don't like a player and question his play, simply because you wanted a different guy drafted? Are you actually watching him play? It seems you're letting your preconceived draft beliefs guide your opinion long beyond the draft and just ignoring all facts to the contrary. -
There is absolutely no way the league allows Jerry Hughes to take shots at Brady. The refs will be told to allow holding all day long on him. And Newhouse will look like a HOF tackle because of it.

Josh Allen - Draft night retrospect
Dan replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It would be nice if more people did this in regards to all things in life. The internet and everyone having the platform to constantly spout their opinion as fact leads to far more defending of hills just to not admit you were wrong than needed. It creates unnecessary division and detracts from what the vast majority of us all want. In this case... A Super Bowl winning QB. There's nothing wrong with being ..wrong. The only people that are never wrong are the ones who never have an opinion. It reminds me of a quote... The more I learn, the less I realize I know. In this case, I don't watch much college ball, so I'm a victim of falling for people's draft opinions here (and the tv pundits - although I find posters here to usually be more thorough and knowledgeable). I was thinking Rosen would be best, but no way we get him. Mayfield is who I was hoping for. Darnold 3rd. Interestingly, my feeling on them is almost completely reveresed now. Mayfield seems to be a rpo guy, and I'm not convinced has much more. Allen... I wasn't even thinking of him. Figured no way he'd go in round 1! Shows you what I know about the draft! LOL. At this point, I'm completely behind the decision and feel we definitely got the right guy for our team. I was gonna buy his Jersey.. But man I can't put that curse on him! -
Win or lose... This isn't the Super Bowl. There are 12 more regular season games after this one. We've seen our undefeated Bills beat the undefeated cheaters in September. We've seen them get blown out as well. Hell, we've seen it all. But, we haven't seen the Bills control their own destiny on the raod to the playoffs in a very long time. Win or lose, they still do that. Win or lose, they still need to beat the Titans the following week. That's my perspective. Do I Dare to Believe... ? No. I know. I know.. The Bills can win this game. I know they can compete. The rest of the league may not realize it yet, but the rebuild is complete. This is just the beginning... The Bills. Win or Lose. are here. And no one is pushing us around again. So ***** the pats ***** the pundits, just bring it this week and every week. Go Bills!

Bills weakness is becoming a trend in QTRs 2nd & 3rd
Dan replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Is it possible that McD has been a bit conservative in these games, both with blitzes and play calling, so that he puts as little as possible on tape for our 4th game? If so we're damn lucky. If not... then coach game planning and adjustments may be the weakest link on this team.
