  1. When we have an O-line worth crap then it might be worthwhile to talk about the QB. Right now, I say anyone that blames JP for a 1-3 start should have their head examined.
  2. It amazes me how the Bills front office and an overwhelming numbers of Bills fans can be so ignorant!!! For 10 years our O-Line has sucked ass and we've had non-existent Tight Ends. Yet, all anyone can ever think of is the QB, the RB, or whoever else they happen to want gone that week. Face it, until we improve the line with real players, we'll suck - it doesn't matter who we put in their! It's friggin incredible. All I heard all offseason was how great we were going to be. The Defense was great and would keep us in games, and would even score points. The special teams was great and would give us good field position. Willis was great and would shoulder the load of the offense. JP didn't have to do anything and we could coast into the playoffs. Now after 4 weeks.... the defense sucks and couldn't stop a runner if they had to. The Special Teams is mediocore. And Willis is given the ball 18 times in a game we were winning or only a score behind for most of. So, what's the problem.... JP! Lets get rid of him. He sucks. We need a new QB with no experience. If only JO could be the QB we all said he wouldn't be this summer. What a friggin joke. Now we bench him. So a 2 bit back up can try and win the game. This makes me sicker than just about anything. Not only are we losing, but we're all SO ready to blame yet another QB, when there's not a QB in the league that can throw the ball with less than a second to throw on 75% of his pass attempts.

  4. I don't know about anyone else. But, I was watching the Bills 92 season and the Comeback games on NFL Network this weekend. And ya know what, I had a revelation, especially after Tasker (I think) said its tougher to go to 4 consecutive than it is to win 1. What if we won that first Superbowl? I doubt we'd have went to 4 straight, once we got to taste the victory. So, then I wondered... is it better to go to a Superbowl and win it, then suck again (like the Ravens) or is it better to accomplish what Buffalo did and go to 4 straight? After contemplation, I'm glad it came out like it did and we have the distinction of going to 4 straight. Now that shows a great team. Hell, every year someone goes and wins. But, how often does a team dominate like we did? (Regardless we still beat the Giants.)
  5. Given the way our O-line has played, why would we worry about losing any of them? Our line men are average at best. If anything, they should be happy to keep their jobs - let alone wanting a pay raise. And top dollar money? Absolutely no way.
  6. You're seriously diluted. Did our secondary stop a single 3rd and long play all year?
  7. The NFL Network is perhaps the greatest thing since the dawn of mankind. If I could, I'd put on channel 212 and throw away the remote (until Sunday afternoon of course).
  8. Is it the head coaches responsibilty to water the grass too? No wonders these guys get paid so much.
  9. It's interesting. The general theme of this post has been the timeless theme of Macs versus the other guys. There's always people that site fact after fact - price, memory capacity, and so forth. And conclude that you get so much more from a non-Mac product. Then you have the Mac people talk about the interface, ease of use, style, and so forth. And the two sides of the brain never meet. What I always find interesting is the few people that have crossed over and used to own a non-Mac gadget, but for various reasons finally broke down and bought a Mac product. Now they're completely sold and "see the light". You'd think the totally progmatic fellows would see this as a sign that conversion may actually be a good thing. But the earlier analogy to buying a car, I think, is very accurate. There are lots of cars out there that will get you around. Yet, some people buy the high-priced Benz and others buy the Tercel. Believe me teh Toyota Tercel is probably about the best car you'd ever hope to own - it gets great gas mileage, almost zero maintenance, basically its reliable transportation for a good 10 years. Yet, there's so much more than just getting from point a to point b. Buying a well-made pice of computer hardeware, the iPods included, can change the way you look at your every day work. Alas, some people will never understand this and will continue to strive for the most bang for their buck. Hence they will always want to trade proven veterans because they can get more value (also trying to keep this on the Bills). And they'll always be just a little shy of seeing the big picture.
  10. Kitna's my vote because he almost beat the Patriots this year. He's the new man.
  11. I'm not sure but I bet its somehow Drew's fault. So, I'd suggest contacting TD and getting him to publicly state that JP is our starter (or possibly even Kitna). I'm sure that will make everyone feel better and we might even attain world peace.
  12. To one... I'm not saying we should keep his concreteness. I'm just saying please don't bring in Kitna. He beat the Jets. So did Drew. He beat the Eagles? Not only did we not play the Eagles (hence invalid comparison), but it was a a week 17 Eagles, so even less note worthy. He almost beat a couple of teams? Hell, Drew almost beat several teams himself. Almost only counts in horseshoes and hand granades.
  13. Please, please explain how he's better than Drew. Please. I mean what has he ever done to show he should even be on an NFL roster?
  14. I'd completely disagree that he's better than Bledsoe. Kitna lost his job to Plamer, so he can't be all that. Where does all this Kitna love come from? What did he do in Seatle or Cinci? I haven't seen him lead a team anywhere. Just look at this year, the Bengals were looking good until Palmer went down - Kitna took over and they sucked it up again. So how could anyone think he's an answer? Thisis quite baffling.
  15. Please.... if we bring Kitna in here then I'm slitting my wrists. How long has he been in the league? When did he ever prove that he was a great QB? This post is right up there with some of the more absurd crap I've ever read. I mean I was hesitant to even post a response. Kitna? It would be funny except that I suspect some of you are actually serious about considering this guy.
  16. That's the points. For months all I hear is talk about lets put JP in so we can finally win a Superbowl. And these same people completely ignore the fact that there's alot more wrong with this team than just Drew. I'm not saying we shouldn't JP. All I'm saying is that if we do start JP and we're still not in the superbowl, who will these same people start wanting to cut next?
  17. What kills me about all you get rid of Drew nuts is that you completely ignore the fact that there's all these other players out there suckin it up too. Like a different post says... we're several players away from a good team. The damn Pitt scrubs walked all over our great D in the 4th q. Bottom line is this team needs more than just a new QB. I can only wonder what everyone would be complaining about today if JP was put in earlier in the season.
  18. "the offense will be fixed" How can we make that assumption? The offense hasn't been fixed for years and all of a sudden its a given the offense will be fixed? I can't buy it. But, the arguement that the defense is lacking something is a good one. They performed extremely well; however, they seemed to have a knack for letting up at exactly the moment they shouldn't. Namely almost every 3rd and long situation.
  19. Having one and being one can be 2 different things. Please explain.
  20. Always stick to AFC. This year I'd like to see the Colts get there. If not then the Pats.
  21. Why do we always have to bring up Flutie as though he's some horrible figure that blew a Superbowl for us? As I recall it all Flutie did was quarterback the team to a 10-5 record, get us into the playoffs, re-energize the franchise in the process, then get benched in the playoffs, and finally ridden out of town on a rail. Why - because he couldn't throw a long ball? He didn't look good in the pocket? It makes no sense to me. Part of me thinks this franchise is cursed for treating him like that.
  22. please... if we can't get a better kicker in here next year.. then we're dooooomed.
  23. I agree the line play improved but it was no where near great. And believe me, I'm not using this as an excuse to get rid of Drew. I'm all for trying JP. However, both sides of the line still get man handled when the game is on the line against a first rate oppenent. If we don't bring in some top talent on the line, I just don't think we'll ever take that next step. We may make the playoffs (heck we were almost did this year), but would we have beaten NE or Pitt this year? No way.
  24. I've been saying it for years.... Drew may suck, sure. But so will JP or anyone else you put back there behind this line. We can talk sh-- all we want about how great the line improved this season. But the fact of the matter is that when the season was on the line and we were playing a quality opponent - we got pushed around like catholic school girls at a frat party. If wee don't upgrade our line - offensive and defensive - we'll never compete with the bid boys. Period.
  25. I muted most of the 4th quarter because I was so sick of Randy's inane comments. He made a bad game worse.
