  1. What'll happen is they'll finally run the ball more than pass. As a result Willis will have a big game. KH numbers won't look bad - although they won't be spectacular. And we'll win the game. Then everyone will say, see KH was the right choice. That will play out for a few weeks but then the bubble will bursts and we'll see exactly why KH is a journeyman QB that has never amounted to much. But by then, we'll have lost another year of JP's development and we'll be in this same predicament next year - a young qb with no experience. So we'll try to beef up the receivers and maybe bring in a better backup QB because KH couldn't do it. All the while ignoring the line. Sounds like the last 5-10 years in a nutshell to me. De je vue.
  2. It's all bull sh--. JP will never get better on the sideline. KH has never proven that he should be a starter anywhere. How we go from the season is not on JP's shoulder's to.. its JP's fault lets bench him is beyond me. It's not about supporting anyone player, its about supporting a team. If you bench one guy because he's not performing, then they should bench half theteam right now. Mularky just dropped tremendously in my book. We'll still be lucky to finsh 8-8 this year, regardless of who's the qb. All they're doing is playing a trucky game with a young man's confidence and his ability to be a leader. This team has gone downhill since they unceremoniously cut Thomas, Reed, and Smith and now the sh-- continues. Let's all blame who's not the problem and just keep rolling to sell tickets and merchandise.
  3. It wasn't stats. It was attitude that I liked.
  4. If they did announce that, it'd be the first mistake - giving the Fins time to think about KH and not JP. Not to mention the other mistake.
  5. Amen to that. Haddad was a great young and "wanting to prove himself" receiver. I think he'd be leading the team in recieving right now if not for being so undeservedly cut.
  6. Well, I certainly wasn't someone that signing KH was the greatest thing since sliced bread. But, I do see your point. Stranger things have happened. I haven't given up on the season, mostly because I never really got behind the season. I being somewhat level headed and a student of history, knew that JP was going to struggle this year. That he would play some games and look good and then follow up a week later looking miserable. So the season, in my mind is not at all lost. In fact, we're 1 game better than we were last year. And of our 3 losses, 2 were to teams that are (at this point) looking like Superbowl contenders. I'm not saying we should protect a No. 1 pick or anything. I'm just saying that if JP supposedly has all the potential that everyone seems to think he has, then why don't we let him play and develop that potential. He was pulled last week when we were down by 6 points. How great for his and the teams confidence would it have been if he were able to struggle all game like he had and finally get a drive together in the 4th quarter that put us in the lead? Win or lose, it would have done immeasurable good to this team not on now but for years to come - certainly in comaprison to him watching KH try. If we don't give him a chance, how will he ever become the starter of the future that leads us to the Superbowl?
  7. True, but that's a marketing ploy by the teams to make money. But the NFL will only let them do it for 2 games each year. The real uniforms are all becoming just that.. uniform. Of all the teams with new uniforms recently, look at the colors and tell me they're not all the same few colors. Why is that?
  8. Anything is clearly possible. I mean no one, and I mean not even Miami fans would have thought that after 4wks Miami would be in first place and NE would be in 2nd place in the division. So sure, anything is possible. But before I even begin to think about getting my hopes up, I want to see how this team plays over the next 2 weeks. Because I agree. The next 2 games are critical as far as hope for the rest of the season goes.
  9. No way they're tailored to each athlete. Do you know how much money that would cost? Why do you think all the Uni's are switching to the same colors and styles... to save money.
  10. The problem with benching JP is... what good does it get you? Now, if we're reasonably confident that KH will get us to the Superbowl that's one thing, but lets face it - that ain't gonna happen. So, if JP is sucking because he has no experience and he's benched, when does he get that experience? We put in KH just so we can have a chance of possibly making the playoffs, only to decide that he's not the answer. Then next season we start JP and we're in the same place we are now... a young QB with no experience. So, I say keep him in and write off this season as lost, but hope for the best - maybe he can come around and we make the playoffs. Either way next year, we're actually better at that position. In essence waste 1 year with JP, not 2. Because benching JP for KH will certainly waste this year. If KH was a palyoff caliber QB, why's he in Buffalo backing up a 2nd year guy? So, anyone that thinks KH is the answer is diluted. T There's absolutely no assurance that JP riding the bench another year will suddenly make him a quality QB. If he plays at least we'll begin to have that answer by the end of the season.
  11. I reckon being from the south I didn't see it as being that funny. And actually thought it quite profound.
  12. I'm sure if you go back 4, 5, or even 7 years you'd see the same thing. Now what does that say about our team.
  13. I thought the same thing. With JP in there we stood a much better chance of converting. The play call was totally predictable givven the personel on the field.
  14. Great so Favre throws 4 TD's and 300 yards. But they lost. I'll take crappy indiv. stats and a team Win over good 4th quarter stats in a Loss, anyday.
  15. I'm for anything at this point with this "line". But I think they also need to look at the offensive play calling. According to the guy on Total Access (can't recall his name), he said the Saints defenders told him "the Bills offense was predictable". They essentially knew what was coming. I'ev said it before, if I can sit half way across the country in my living room, half drunk, and scarfing fried pickles, and can still call the play - don't you think the opposing defenses know what's coming to. I'm not saying get tricky. I'm just saying stop using the same formations and player packages for the same plays over and over. Empty backfields and I formations pretty much lead to one thing.
  16. I suppose this is the humor post for the day.
  17. If there was ever an answer to the question... what's more important the QB or the O-line. Then look no further than Green Bay. Favre, the greatest quarterback, no the greatest human being to ever live (sorry for the sarcasm) looks like crap this year. Why? Because his O-line is gone and he;s left to fend for himself. All of a sudden he looks average and the Packers are winless. So, how can any QB young or old succeed in Buffalo with the line we have, we've had, we will have for a seeming eternity.
  18. As soon as I saw McGee get past the "last" Saint, I told my sister, "oh sh--, there's too many Bills players around him. He's going to run into one of them and get tackled!" Imagine my surprise when it actually happened.
  19. Well, i imagine its hard to make a perfect throw every time you're given a chance, in between the multitude of times you have a 300 pound guy in your face. And now hair length is the overriding factor in a players performance. Definitely makes sense.
  20. Name 1 experienced QB that could win consistently with this offense, or with a defense that can't stop anyone. There are none. So, why throw any of the blame on a first year QB? So what can JP do to help the defense?
  21. When we have an O-line worth crap then it might be worthwhile to talk about the QB. Right now, I say anyone that blames JP for a 1-3 start should have their head examined.
  22. It amazes me how the Bills front office and an overwhelming numbers of Bills fans can be so ignorant!!! For 10 years our O-Line has sucked ass and we've had non-existent Tight Ends. Yet, all anyone can ever think of is the QB, the RB, or whoever else they happen to want gone that week. Face it, until we improve the line with real players, we'll suck - it doesn't matter who we put in their! It's friggin incredible. All I heard all offseason was how great we were going to be. The Defense was great and would keep us in games, and would even score points. The special teams was great and would give us good field position. Willis was great and would shoulder the load of the offense. JP didn't have to do anything and we could coast into the playoffs. Now after 4 weeks.... the defense sucks and couldn't stop a runner if they had to. The Special Teams is mediocore. And Willis is given the ball 18 times in a game we were winning or only a score behind for most of. So, what's the problem.... JP! Lets get rid of him. He sucks. We need a new QB with no experience. If only JO could be the QB we all said he wouldn't be this summer. What a friggin joke. Now we bench him. So a 2 bit back up can try and win the game. This makes me sicker than just about anything. Not only are we losing, but we're all SO ready to blame yet another QB, when there's not a QB in the league that can throw the ball with less than a second to throw on 75% of his pass attempts.

  24. I don't know about anyone else. But, I was watching the Bills 92 season and the Comeback games on NFL Network this weekend. And ya know what, I had a revelation, especially after Tasker (I think) said its tougher to go to 4 consecutive than it is to win 1. What if we won that first Superbowl? I doubt we'd have went to 4 straight, once we got to taste the victory. So, then I wondered... is it better to go to a Superbowl and win it, then suck again (like the Ravens) or is it better to accomplish what Buffalo did and go to 4 straight? After contemplation, I'm glad it came out like it did and we have the distinction of going to 4 straight. Now that shows a great team. Hell, every year someone goes and wins. But, how often does a team dominate like we did? (Regardless we still beat the Giants.)
  25. Given the way our O-line has played, why would we worry about losing any of them? Our line men are average at best. If anything, they should be happy to keep their jobs - let alone wanting a pay raise. And top dollar money? Absolutely no way.
